I recently had an exceptional experience at the Christian Brothers Automotive, Ventura location, and felt compelled to share my appreciation. The standout service was provided by two incredible team members: Cameron C., the Service Writer, and Edsel D., the Technician.From the outset, their professionalism and dedication were evident. They went above and beyond to accommodate my friend, who I had sent for a repair. Their willingness to provide translation and support was not just impressive but also showcased their commitment to customer service. The level of integrity and care they exhibited was remarkable, as they extended their service to include picking up and dropping off my friend, ensuring convenience and safety.The communication throughout the process was exemplary. Regular updates via text and phone calls kept us informed and reassured. It s rare to find such proactive and transparent communication in automotive services.Furthermore, the follow-up call from the manager was a cherry on top, ensuring that everything was handled perfectly and to our satisfaction.I highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive for their outstanding service, integrity, and the extra mile they go for their customers. Work completed was the unexpected need for an upper engine overhaul for my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, 5.7L Hemi engine.Need for the work occurred with a p0304 miss-fire code appearing just prior to the day I scheduled start of work for a complete replacement of front suspension components (early April, 2024). My noted vehicle had experience 141K miles and is otherwise very good condition (I had replaced the water pump and coolant radiator in the weeks just prior; Alternator was year old). With that, Christian Brothers Automotive was given authorization for the additional engine repairs upon diagnosis verification of a suspected engine valve lifter failure.Both the Techs and my service representative at Christian Brothers appeared very knowledgeable of Hemi engine shortcomings and the work required to restore my vehicle near new, including worn-out suspension components.With several days of run time after repairs completion, so far so good as to my vehicle performance results.Their pricing is somewhat relatively high, but so-far appears to be worth the knowledgeable attention to detail and the post repair warranty that was realized.

I ve been to Christian Brothers before and had a great experience and that s why we went back. This time, however wasn t the best. We had a really bad experience with the customer service. The gentleman I spoke with was very rude when I was trying to understand what was going on. And then to make it worse it was very awkward when we went to pick up the car we weren t greeted and weren t asked what they could help us with. I had to say hi and that we were there to pick up a car. Once he realized it was me he was even more rude. It was an awful experience. I hate that I don t feel comfortable going back there because of one person. I do hope he was just having a bad day because I know that s possible and I don t want to be mean or hurtful but how we were treated wasn t right. They are a great company and we trust what they have to say and the work they do but customer service, kindness and politeness should be a top priority.

Bought a used Tacoma and took it in to a local place for service 90 days later. The dealer told me that I needed a high dollar repair that seemed questionable due to the low mileage of the truck and the fact that the place where I bought it had certified it with an inspection. I left Toyota and took my truck to CBA because they ve always been great and they took a look and documented with photos. As expected, there was no major issue requiring a $1700 repair from Toyota. I wanted to pay them but they refused. Will always trust these guys in the future!

I recently took my truck to Christian Brothers Auto for repairs and was astounded by the quote they provided. The cost of the repairs was nearly three times the value of the truck, with all parts marked up 3 to 4 times above the market price. I understand the concept of markup for business reasons, but this was beyond reasonable and felt extremely excessive.During my interactions, it became apparent that their focus might not solely be on providing fair and transparent service. Interestingly, alongside the hefty repair quote, there was an offer to buy my truck, which felt quite opportunistic under the circumstances.It's worth mentioning that they justify their high prices with the warranty they provide, but even so, the costs seemed unjustifiably high.To others considering Christian Brothers Auto for vehicle repairs, I recommend getting a second opinion to ensure you're receiving fair treatment and prices. While warranties are valuable, they shouldn't justify grossly inflated prices.

I have been taking my truck here for years. Always have a great experience and they never recommend things that don t need to be done. When you do need something done, they do it for a fraction of the price that other places would charge. I can t recommend them enough. If you re looking for a place that does great work, are honest and easy to work with, look no further! These guys are the best.

I HIGHLY recommend these guys. One of the most honest and kind mechanics in Albuquerque that I have found. Thought my alternator was bad, they offered a diagnostic for the car (I also HIGHLY recommend thisas well) as like an insurance policy...just in case it wasn't the alternator, they couldn't find anything wrong with the Honda's alternator, kept it overnight to check other things that might cause the issues and wouldn't charge me for the diagnostic since they couldn't find anything wrong. Unheard of in today's world. Thanks Brothers...

Feeling very conflicted writing this. The staff at CB are wonderful and very friendly. In my experience they have always been honest and easy to work with. Did they ultimately fix my car? Yes, absolutely. However, it took a week and a half to diagnose the issue. It sounded like maybe staffing issues caused the delay, but the communication was unclear. When I picked up the vehicle, the tech had forgotten to replace the key cover on my driver s side door, which was an easy fix, but then I got in the car and it was a complete disaster. All of my items had been removed from the console and thrown everywhere. The steering wheel was dirty and sticky. There were dark fingerprints all over the pale colored interior. With a $2,000+ repair, I guess I expected that they would clean up after themselves? This was not the typical experience at CB, so I would definitely use them again. I guess I will just be more clear about expectations of the condition of the vehicle when I pick it up.Service: Engine repair

I have taken my vehicle to Christian brothers on 3 occasions, and I don t plan to go anywhere else! The Christian Brothers team is a breath of fresh air- incredibly professional, great communication, and thorough in their work. I love that they offer shuttle services and photo updates. I visited Christian Brothers in NE Albuquerque in order to get an estimate for a transfer case replacement on my Jeep. The shop is clean and well organized, but the service writer treated me dismissively and condescendingly. His attitude was one of assuming I had no knowledge of my own vehicle and he was the Jeep god. My wife commented, "He treated you as if you were a prisoner and captive to his whims". To cap off my experience, their estimate - for a REMANUFACTURED transfer case - was $2000 higher than a brand new part at the Jeep dealer service center. Christian Brothers is busy, they don't need my work, which is good, because they won't be receiving it.

Excellent service the repair was not what we thought and they found that by their diagnostic team. They kept us informed by text and phone. It was less money than we had anticipated. They were courteous and very helpful also having the shuttle to return us home and then back again to pick up our car was a relief as we only have that vehicle definitely will use again definitely recommend thank you Christian Brothers we appreciate your service ...1/16/24 I can't seem to write a new review so I will edit this review from 4 months ago we once again had to use Christian Brothers as our engine light came on they got us in quickly found the problem and had the car back to us the day before they promised

Great experience here trying to figure out why my ac wasn t working. Cameron was super professional and explained to me in extraordinary detail what was going on. The only bummer is that the compressor needs to be replaced and it s a little expensive. But I ll be back here for sure.

First off, CBA is great shop! We used them once before for an extended warranty issue. Next time we had a different issue I forgot CBA was a preferred shop on my warranty and made the huge mistake of going to the dealer. They fixed a couple of leaks I thought but had a continual leak from the day I took it home. Went back so the dealer could correct the issue they just fixed. They said it was a "new" leak. I declined and CBA got me in the next morning and identified the leak the dealer said was new, but there was indication the new leak was caused by RTV being found under the right valve cover which the dealership would have had to remove to get to the timing chain cover. So in the end sloppy work by the dealership and CBA got us fixed up correctly. Will always use then in the future!!

Just went in for diagnostics and they looked at several different issues we had been noticing and we weren't sure what the issues were caused by. They did a big ole overall inspection on the vehicle and gave me a detailed reporting of everything they found, and the severity. In their opinion, none were time sensitive or unsafe, so I decided not to address it in that moment. They didn't charge me for the inspection because they didn't find anything that (in their opinion) needed fixing in that moment. Totally the opposite of what one would expect right!?Everyone I talked with, from my initial phone call, dropoff and pickup, were all super professional, timely and responsive. They sent me photos of the conditions they found. When I decide to begin working my way through getting the repairs done, I will *definitely* be going back here.

Had new tires installed at Discount Tire and they recommended Christian Brothers for the alignment on my Ram 3500 dually. They took me in right away after the tires were installed. They did all the adjustments necessary and my trucks runs straight. I know a lot about my truck, they were honest and very fair with their price. This is a one time experience with them, do I recommend them YES.

I called to inquire about getting a transmission oil change and was quoted a ridiculous price of $419.00. When I mentioned that the quoted price seemed pretty steep, I was laughed at. I was also told that a filter and gasket would cost around $120.00 but was included in the price. After doing my own research, I saw that it would cost about $50 for both. I watched a video on how to do it and it takes about 30 minutes to complete. Seems like a rip-off...

I m always impressed with these guys. They re so polite, knowledgeable, helpful, and make it SO easy to do business with them.I decided to not get this latest repair done at the dealership simply because it seemed like such a hassle for them to even get me in. I overlooked the dealership s service advisor s grouchiness that day (I understand, it s backed up and you re busy) but to emphasize how difficult it was to even pick a day to get the car checked in, I ended up walking away. I later looked up Christian Brothers again via Google Maps and scheduled my car for a drop off the next day with their online scheduler. My car was booked and repaired quickly with no hassles! Special thanks to the Service Advisor David, Willie, the tech who made the repairs, and Cameron who s always so polite when answering the phone and gets me to the right person instantly. You guys are the best. Thank you.

Professional and courteous staff at the front desk. I went there for a check engine light and for a code P0101 that's started causing issues with accelerating and erratic idling. I dropped off my car in their parking lot the night before my 8am appointment and got a call about 5-10 minutes after my scheduled appointment.The guy who left me a voicemail told me that it was an interesting issue so his mechanic did some "digging" and found that there was a TSB (technical service bulletin) out for my specific car and that they recommend having it taken to the dealership to have my cars computer reprogrammed or updated to correct the issue. When I went to pick up my vehicle, I was informed that all the diagnostic fees were waived and I paid nothing for them to look at it. This was great news since I had to have my vehicle towed to the dealership and upon them receiving my vehicle, the dealership immediately charged me $155 just to diagnose what the issue was with my vehicle even though I told them over the phone.The location on Ventura and Paseo is the location I go to and I updated this review to show that not every visit or experience will be the same for everyone but all I can say is, thank you Christian Brother's Auto!

If I could rate zero stars I would. To start, there was someone complaining about their experience when I dropped my vehicle off and someone complaining about their experience when I picked my vehicle up, so that was my first red flag. Then they proceeded to quote me 2,000 dollars more than the work should have been (including 300% markup on some of the parts), they aligned my vehicle and charged me for it knowing full well it would need to be done again after the parts were installed, and to top it all off they left my vehicle leaking oil from the oil change! Would not recommend this shop to anyone.
