I took my vehicle here for a diagnostic check. I got an estimate from Cliff for $6,000+ for an engine assembly. He told me my engine had a broken rod. The diagnostic check cost me $230 and took Browns Automotive 2 days to figure out the problem. It sat in my driveway for 2 months so I decided to take it somewhere else for a second opinion. The new mechanic quickly determined it was my power steering pump and pulley. The total cost to fix it was $600. Browns Automotive by far gave me the worst diagnostic test ever and tried getting me to spend $6k+ to swap out a good motor. Also they never put back my engine cover so I lost out on that money getting a new one. Please don't go to Browns Automotive for any car diagnostics. They obviously don't have the proper equipment to diagnose cars.

I want to again thank the staff at Brown s Auto (formerly Don s Auto) for their excellent service!I found Don s on Angie s List in 2013.. When I moved away from Albuquerque in 2020 I continued my checkups every six months habit with Don s/Brown s. I have always enjoyed their friendly, helpful and honest work.For example: this week, Darryl made my appointment for an oil change and a road worthy check. He made note of all my concerns.Manager Cliff, who has been there since my day one, has always been helpful, personable and empathetic.Duston at the Front Desk, who remembered my history with Don s as he reviewed Mechanic John s report and suggested possible next steps.I appreciate their efficiency and concern for me as a customer. They completed the work needed in half the predicted time so I could get back home before rush hour!I will trust Browns/ Don s to care for my car for as long as I continue my semiannual road trips in the Midwest.

Cliff and Justin and the mechanics at Browns automotive on Wyoming blvd are the best! They are knowledgeable, courteous and very professional. I have had two vehicles diagnosed and worked on with very positive results. I will take my vehicles to them the next time my vehicles need repairs. I highly recommend their services!

You can rely on all the guys that work here. They all have a genuine concern for your car, which is why I continue to take my car to Brown's. They also went out of their way to help my mom find a reliable vehicle for herself. These guys go above and beyond for their customers!

Found my new mechanic! Walked in after an alert on my coolant fluid. They got me in on the spot! Never thought that would happen! Dustin educated me about my car, insider stuff I had never heard. They did a multipoint inspection just because that's how they role, now I'm much more confident about my newish car! And bonus, if you stick around and wait, I promise you will be entertained!!! Between the banter between the "guys" and the wackiness outside the window, I felt like I was at a show!!! Didn't even notice, my car was all done and it was time to go. I didn't try the coffee, but I may, just to go back for the entertainment! Thanks Dustin and all the others!

This place really helped me out. I had driven out from TX to NM and my car started to have some issues making it non-drivable. This issue was potentially going to strand me for quite some time since all other shops were a week to a month out to even look at the car. Cliff went out of his way to help and got me in same day. Follow up on the issue was super quick and the car was fixed by the end of the day. I ended up having to leave back to TX even earlier than expected so this immediate and quick attention really saved me. Thanks to this shop and Cliff for being so helpful and professional.

We were very pleased with the service that we had at Browns Automotive Experts.After bringing our 93,000 mile vehicle in for a diagnostic inspection,Dustin called us with a report and an estimate of what the cost would be to compete repairs that were needed. Less than a day and a half later all repairs were made and the actual cost was a bit less than quoted.The technician did a great job, the vehicle is driving like a dream.We are so glad that we made the choice to use the Brown Team on Wyoming and will make this our automotive care station from now on. Top notch service. I called them about brakes and a price estimate. They said bring in my car and they will give it a free inspection and be able to give me an actual price. I took it in at 7:30am they got it right in. Gave a full inspection and the price. The price was steep but seems the going rate. They told me they could have it totally done in about an hour and a half 2 hours. I needed to get my son to school so I told them I'd have to come back. The GM gave my son a ride to school and I tagged along. He was really friendly and courteous. The mechanic working on my car was really great too. We went for a test drive so he could hear what I was hearing. He got in there and fixed my brakes wonderfully. They also took photos and gave a very detailed report of things that needed repairs and things that were in good condition. I highly recommend this shop. I didn't feel pressured or swindled in any way. Everyone was incredibly nice and friendly

I've been going to Brown's Automotive Experts (Formerly Don's) for all my car care needs for about 10 years and have always received top quality service. Whether my car is there for a simple tire check or oil change, or a bigger service, Cliff and his team keep you informed throughout the entire service process and make sure you are driving away with your car safe and in good working order. EXCELLENT experience !!!! Called Brown's for a diagnosis on engine noise at 4:00PM in the afternoon, they had me in within 36 hours. They gave me a ride home and picked me up on time. They completed their diagnosis on time, told me what to expect and offered a short-term and long-term solution. Everyone was super friendly.A special shout-out to Dustin for his amazing service.Loved that Brown's was collecting material (not monetary) charitable donations for families in our community. Brown's was matching the donations by applying credit to client invoices. AWESOME!!!Thank you Brown's for taking care of me and for supporting our community.Angella

My husband and I were traveling across the country when my power steering faulted near Albuquerque. We tried calling a couple dealerships since my car is under warranty but they couldn't even diagnose the problem for 3-7 days. We looked up nearby mechanics and came across Brown's Automotive Experts. Cliff and Dustin were so nice and accomodating. They prioritized us being travelers and no where to stay. They let us stay in the office for the entire time my car was being worked on and even reccommended lunch places for us. They even offered to drive us to get food or a possible hotel if it came down to us staying another night. Some of the mechanics even gave my dog some treats. They explained everything and showed us pictures of what had to be done for my car. They kept us updated during the entire process. We were able to hit the road same day and continue our drive to the east coast. Everything ran perfect for the remainder of the trip (about 1,800 miles). We cannot thank these guys enough. We were in what could have been a very difficult situation, but they treated us like family.

$2069.00 to replace the water pump and battery on a 2006 BMW 530i seemed really high based on a average cost of $705.00 to $806.00 for the water pump and labor. Battery up to $497.00 high end. But was in a bind and had to get it done. As for the labor, it was done right away and the people working there were very professional.

Browns repaired my car with expertise and in a timely manner. They managed my insurance company who attempted to allow for used parts to be installed and for them not to pay in full. Cliff constantly updated me and performed one of the best customer experiences possible. I would recommend Brown's to anyone. They are very detailed in explaining everything what needs to be done. They dont try to over sell you, and they keep to main issue that needs attention. Their pricing is very fair. I appreciated Dustin's customer service and the great work the techs did. Got in quickly, got a report quickly of needed repairs, and was done same day. Staff was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. They know what they are doing and they don t take advantage of out of state customers. Been doing business with them for years as I have need when in Albuquerque.

This auto service is GREAT! Cliff and his crew have gone above and beyond to get my 1997 Chevy Van back on the road. This shop is run very professionally, with expert service, kindness and efficiency! I noted how Cliff always pays attention to his customer s concerns. . He answered all my questions and explained everything in detail that needed repair. I just can t thank him/them enough for the work they have done. Older vehicles can be a challenge to keep running well. SCAM ALERT!!!SCAM ALERT!!!. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. I have Nissan Pathfinder that I just put a brand new starter, battery, and alternator in. I drove to the gas station and it would not start after jumping it. I towed I'm to these guys. After about a hour or so they called and said the security module is fried and needs to be replaced but they can't find the part. But they have a really good tech guy that could bypass it and it will work. They wanted 600$ for this. I goggled how to reboot the security feature and it said to open the back tailgate all the way and close. I tried and it didn't work. It then said to simply use the key not the key fob to open the drivers side door. I tried that it started right up. They acted like they didn't know what happened. They were basically stuttering. Giving every excuse out in their book. So I guess their tech guy is not as good as they think lol. They explained when I got there the fee was 120$. He charged me65$ and said that would be fine. They are real crooked. If trying to scam money from you is what you want go see service advisor Dustin T or the tech Jeff C.I think it s only right to give me back the 70$you guys stole to save yourself. It s pretty embarrassing that I had to google how to fix it and show you guys and still charge me 70$Service: General repairs & maintenance

Can't say enough good things about this place. Took the time to really identify my vehicles issue, went above and beyond with the work and charged a fair price for the crazy mess my Jeep was in.
