This is a fair, honest & exceptional place to take your vehicle. I own foreign cars & was so impressed with Daniel s work on my 1886 Jaguar to my everyday VW. The prices are very reasonable & they are great at communicating & getting work done fast. I would give 10 stars if I could-

I found Baca mechanical shop to be a place to go for a professional inspection of a car you may want to purchase. I was able to bring the price of a used car down by 700.00 because of the inspection by BACA

Baca Automotive is the best mechanic I've ever been to. We started going to him when we moved here and have only gone to one other mechanic in the last 5 years. And I wish we would have gone to Baca that time cause we were way over charged.I know next to nothing about cars and am honest with him about that and I never feel like I am being upsold on anything. He always searches for used parts (or even makes small parts himself). I've heard him offer free advice to clients calling in to schedule appointment, telling them "try this and if that doesn't work, then come see me."He is very kind, down to earth, and does great work. I suggest him to everyone I know.

I was referred by Firestone of all places to have them weld my exhaust. Daniel Baca took my car in no problem and had it fixed in 30 minutes. Incredibly fast service and insanely humble in prices. Salt of the Earth people. You cannot be disappointed by trusting them with your vehicle, they saved me from the BS at the dealer. Thank you!!

3 out of our 4 vehicles needed repair all at the same time. Baca had them fixed and out very quickly. Baca is honest, trustworthy, efficient, and knowledgeable. We are very happy with our service and would recommend Baca automotive without hesitation.

Probably the best mechanic I've dealt with so far. And believe me I've dealt with some horrible mechanics. I've had lug nuts come off while driving and that was after being serviced at Les Schwab, tires come completely off, and mechanics that have told me numerous lies to make more money. But these did a great job and I drove my car literally a thousand miles away after I picked it up. My car broke down while traveling back home from Texas. I called numerous shops and these guys were the only shop that would allow me to drop off my car after hours so I could travel back home right away. While it took them a few extra days to get some seals in from the dealership, they made sure my vehicle was road worthy and it drove just like when I first bought it. These guys are serious about their business and if I lived nearby I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Thank you to the whole team at Baca Auto!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

If you want an honest, fair and reliable mechanic, who does quality work, Dan is your guy! Had another shop quote an A/C repair for a family member. They quoted $3700 to replace everything including the compressor. Took it to Dan, who determined it was a leaky line and a cracked coolant canister. He fixed it for less than $1k. Highly recommended!

Have known Baca since we were kids, has always been the same person, and just a great guy. He takes care of every vehicle I own/owned as well as my family's vehicles. Never ask how much it's going to cost because I know the price will always be better than anywhere else and never gouged. He has always been fast and his communication is stellar. I know my son can pull up anytime and he will take care of his car as well. He has done every kind of job(and I mean EVERY!) for me from a simple nail in the tire to a full transmission swap. He loves what he does and takes care of his family, keep up the good work brother! Joe

Daniel Baca, great guy. Always looking to save the customer money. I have been taking my Jeep to him for years as well as my wife's and my daughter's car. Never dissappointed. Always goes above and beyond my expectations. This guy is getting busy and word is getting around he does great work. Works on a shoestring budget no fancy shop just great work. Honest mechanic doing honest work. I highly recommend him, I wish there were morelike him.

We are moving from St. Louis to LA and my car threw a check engine light on. Then it lurched. Being a bit afraid to drive it after that, my husband and I decided to stop in Albuquerque to get it fixed. It was already 3 PM and we needed to be on our way the same day- we called multiple places and no one could fit us in. We were freaking out. I called Baca and he immediately asked me to explain the issue and I told him that we were in town only for the day and needed to get this fixed ASAP. He told me to come right over and he'd check it out. Upon arriving, he came out and looked at it within a few minutes and then started calling places for parts. He got 2 different parts delivered to him from 2 different stores (one an hour away and one closer) immediately- I have NEVER had any auto center go this far out of their way to help me out. He acted as if it was nothing. To us, this was a life saver. Once the parts arrived, they started work on it immediately and we were on our way within a few hours. Any other place 1) would've not taken us 2) overcharged us since this was last minute and we were out of town and needed it badly 3) would have taken at least a day to do the same work at (probably) inferior quality. We cannot recommend them enough- they are communicative, honest, and do not charge extra for unnecessary things.

Baca Automotive Specialists is an AMAZING shop. They are true professionals. Honest, trustworthy, reliable, and affordable. Dan has been my mechanic for years now and has worked on many of my cars. He has never let me down, always does an EXCELLENT job, always is on time, has never overpriced me, has always been honest, he answers my calls 24/7, and I have and always will recommend him. You can't go wrong with him. Dan is the man.

My Uncle Armand swears by them! They are ninja fast at a more than fair price! Plus super honest! I wanted a lot of work done and because of the age of my car and engine type and over 200K mileage. Dan said it may be best to save my money and get another when it goes out. I am a client for life! The most honest car guy there is!

Been my mechanic for nearly a decade now. Great guy.Update, 15 years now. Still the most honest and affordable mechanic I've run into. Has become a family friend at this point and we attend each others kids birthdays now and our wives are friends. Great shop, better guy.

I would definitely recommend Baca Automotive Specialists. A friend of mine, who builds and works on his own race cars, recommended the shop and said that if there's something he can't fix or figure out on his own, this his where he takes his vehicles.I was about to leave on a road trip and my AC stopped working so I brought it in to Baca last minute and he took a look at it and within one minute of looking under the hood told and showed me what the problem was in a very clear and concise way. He got right to fixing it and within 30 minutes I was on my way with the AC blowing ice cold, for a reasonable cost.His Prices are fair and he clearly is very good at what he does with none of the BS or uncertainty that I have experienced with other mechanics. I further witnessed his integrity, fairness and expertise while listening to him speak on the phone to a couple of his customers while he was adjusting the refrigerant charge in my AC system: very clear and up front communication about what the various mechanical problems with their cars were, what options for solutions were available (including a range of parts quality and how long each would likely last) and how much each would cost (very fair prices).

His guy's are professional and Daniel Baca is an honest, and fare mechanic with the skills and knowledge to get the job done right without the hassles you may get elsewhere. I've been using him for years and my vehicles stay running good. I highly recommend Baca Automotive.

I was on vacation with my family and my truck engine light came on and the motor ran so bad I had to get off the interstate. I looked up the closes mechanic and hobbled it to this shop with my camper on the back. They ran the codes on the truck and it was a bad coil pack. They ordered the part right there and me back on the road with in an hour!!! Friendly, and responsive! Great customer service! Thank you very much, again!

I was traveling into town from Denver as a loud grinding noise from the front, drivers wheel became quite noisy. A friend in Denver had a great experience with Baca Auto and suggested I call. This was over the 4th of July, 2020 and no other shops were available. As I needed to return to Denver ASAP my doubts were strong that I d not get quick service and would be stuck in town with no wheels for days. Dana Baca answered my call and had my car diagnosed (failing wheel bearings). My Jeep was repaired, fluids topped And I was back on the road again all with in a 3 hour repair period.I have a very high regard for Baca Automotive. They were honest, fast, careful, efficient and my invoice was most reasonable for the amount of work and amazingly fast turnaround.Dana Baca will be my go to auto repair service if I get back to Albuqueque and need help.

I met Dan, and explained the work that I wanted done on my car. He performed some maintenance/upgrades to the differential and bushings to my Nissan 350Z. He was very knowledgeable and did the work as agreed and on time and for a fair price. I would trust him with any of my cars. Thanks Dan!.

I am from California and had a issue with my abs. Dan Baca came to the rescue, even though he didn't fix the abs module because there were none in stock and I had to go back to Fresno. He did a well done job on checking it out and doing a full tune up.

This is the best maintenance shop I have ran across.....ever. My car was diagnosed with needing a complete engine rebuild from another shop. So I shopped around and Baca Auto quoted me almost 1/2 the price for a rebuild as the shop the diagnosed the problem. After this, he went ahead and looked into the engine and found it was just a timing belt tensioner that had failed. He fixed the timing belt tensioner and the car is still running great. He saved me from getting a different engine to just small repair.Also, Dan is great about not trying to have you spend money on stuff that doesn't need fixing right away.
