Received a quote for $225 for a repair was charged $290. Called and spoke with Chris. But he rudely did not want to hear it and said quote was from the owner and he would not honor it. Received no call to ask if they should proceed over the quoted amount. Bill received even showed Quote for $225. My 18 year old had to learn a hard lesson as he was not prepared for the difference. Not happy as I recommended their service.Service: Electrical repair

Good people here. Forgot the name of the guy I spoke with the most over the phone about my Toyota Avalon, but he was a pleasure to work with. The owner, Terrell, is a straight shooter. Prompt answers with reasonable prices and a quick turnaround time on an electrical issue. Overall, I was impressed with the service I received. Also, shout out to the dude I used to work at Domino's with. He's a cool dude, and I'm happy to see him out of the hell hole that is Domino's.

Once again I HAVE to give a shout out to this business! I especially have to give kudos and a big thank you to Danny for always greeting you with a smile, kindness and being very helpful!I was having another issue that no one could figure out and within 5 minutes Danny knew what it was, how to fix it and helped with the minor issue.If you have ANY car issues, this is the place to bring your vehicle to! I had a great experience with Alamo Auto Center this week. I was passing through the area on a road trip and needed a quick oil change. They were able to take me in immediately even though they were really busy and had the job done as soon as I finished my lunch. Plus their prices were very reasonable and they felt trust worthy. The good reviews online is what made me come in and I was not disappointed!

Excellent, quick and friendly service! We had such a great experience going to Alamo Auto Center for oil changes for our Nissan and Subaru. The service was quick and we even made some small talk. The owner pointed out some things that we should pay attention to and, unlike other places, he let us decide if we wanted to take care of the potential issues now or later rather than forcing us to get work done now.I definitely recommend this place and we'll be using their services again soon. :)

If you want people who actually care about your vehicle, you need to go to these guys first. They don't try to gouge you on prices, they tell you what's up with your car that's easy to understand, they are friendly and professional, and they treat you and your car with respect. I'm very sorry I went to the other places for years. I'm glad I found them and they made a lifetime customer out of me!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Excellent job. Went in for a heater issue and they diagnosed quickly, ordered the part and completed in a timely manner. We asked them to complete a tune-up if necessary. They checked and determined it was not necessary which saved us a lot of money. Great job with integrity.

I have to give a shout out to this place once again for their honesty and being transparent with their customers. They explain at a basic level what is going on with your vehicle and help you get back on the road at an affordable price. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely wonderful place to get your car serviced! Xavier recently helped my mom by changing a burned turn signal bulb for free. He runs a great business, and the crew he has is wonderful. Highly recommended! Superb customer service! If you want high quality work, go to Alamo Auto. They will take very good care of you and your vehicle.

Honest and excellent service. I have my vehicles here several times now and I'm always amazed at the honesty and excellent service. I recently took a car in with a problem which stumped them for awhile. Once they found the problem, they determined it was a very easy fix and didn't charge me at all for all the diagnostics they performed! The car is now humming along and i had a very minimal bill.I will definitely bring my vehicles back Alamo Auto.

This place is superb! So many businesses could learn how to operate a business from Alamo Auto Center. They are honest, experts, and very nice people. When a business treats their customers well, and is honest and kind, they get REPEAT business. Why in the world is that concept so hard for so many businesses to grasp??? This place is terrific! Final bill actually came in LOWER than my initial estimate which I have to say, is a first for me! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We just had to get an oil change and tire rotation while in town and we had the greatest experience! They were so kind and let our dog hang out in the air conditioned waiting room and were just as nice to her as they were to us! Mario told us that there was something loose as a result of the last people that did our oil change and informed us that we had a lugnut missing and replaced it for us. They were genuinely concerned for our safety and didn't just see it as another oil change, and have incredibly reasonable prices- highly recommend supporting these guys!

We are so glad to have come across the Alamo auto center a few days ago. My buddy and I are driving across country and we had no idea where to go when we started having car troubles near Alamogordo. We saw that Alamo Auto had great reviews and went to check it out. The reviews were spot on. These guys are welcoming, fair and honest, and a joy to be around. Joseph, Gary, Justin and Xavier all took the time to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They explained the situation with our van thoroughly, answered our questions, and showed us what was going on so we could see for ourselves. Not only did they know what they were talking about, but also helped diagnose our car for no charge and gave us some good advice on where to go from there. If you are ever near Alamogordo and need some car support, these are your guys for sure. Thanks Alamo!

I was given a quote of a approximately $100 to inspect my air conditioning unit in my vehicle. They said they wouldn't charge me for the inspection if I had the work done in their shop. I thought that was reasonable and agreed to do the work. I got the bill for over $500 and was upset. Their next actions determined the very high rating and positive review. I spoke with the owner, explaining the situation. I expected to have to argue, haggle, and compromise the bill down. However the owner was true to his employees word and stunned me with a $75 bill! I was so impressed that I decided to pay them $150 to cover some costs as a thank you for being so honest in their dealings. Take your vehicle here. You will be dealt with VERY friendly and honestly.

I am new to Alamogordo. And being new is not always a good thing especially when you got to take your car to the shop for repairs. I am very impressed with the way that my car was handled by a mechanic and the way I was handled by the folks at the service desk. Highly recommend these people to anyone and everyone. Very nice, very courteous, and very very professional,but friendlyAt the same time.Five STARS

My driver's side mirror fell off after hitting the side of my garage, so I went to the dealership to order new parts and wanted to charge me an additional $110 to put it on. I came to Alamo Auto Center, and not only did they see me with no appointment, they also did not charge me it all. They put the new mirror completely free! Excellent service!

The honesty and integrity from not only the staff but the personal commitment to satisfaction I recieved from the owner was phenomenal! After discussing a difficult vehicle issue that was beyond the cost I could afford, the owner and staff continued to explore other options that were within my budget! Even though the end result did not leave me with a drivable vehicle due to my budget restrictions, the dedication and earnestness of the staff has impressed me beyond compare and I would certainly do business with them aging should any future automomotive issues arise. Thank you!

I could have not been more pleased with the service and quality the guys put into my whole experience. My father has been a mechanic for 26+ years, and being so far away from home, I had to let someone else fix my Nissan Altima. I was impressed with the shop. Clean, open, and very welcoming. I was greeted as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Steve came out to check out the problem (I had talked to him prior to bringing my car there) and he assisted me with all the information and even talked to my dad for me so I could make sure I wasn't getting screwed over. The owner (I can't remember his name) was so helpful and personal. He was cracking jokes and keeping up the moral of the office. He gave me a 10% discount to help me out with the price. The prices were right on point with the prices in bigger cities and the shop my dad has worked in. I had a huge job to do so it cost me a pretty penny anyways no matter where I went. There is a typical $10.** charge for shop supplies. I needed my car the next day and Steve called the same day I dropped it off!! He checked my tires, filled up all my fluids, and cleaned my headlights. I am absolutely impressed with this shop and the guys that work there. I met a handful of them when we were cracking jokes. It is the only place I will trust with my car while I am stationed at Holloman!!!

These guys were so honest and helpful. We went in telling them we believed we needed a battery and an alternator but they let us know it was only a battery which saved us hundreds. They also gave us a ride to and from our campground! We highly recommend this company!Service: BatteryService: Battery

Best mechanic I've been to in a long time. Very polite and professional. They do a good job of communicating with you while your car is at their shop. Fair pricing too. Would definitely go back.

Xavier and his crew are the most honest car guys around! Had my cars a/c retrofitted and these guys did a GREAT job. 1 year later and the compressor went out...I called them and explained the situation and that is was within days of the warranty expiring. Xavier said he doesn't really worry about that too much and they'd take care of me anyway. Class act that is becoming more and more rare in this day and age. The only ones in Alamo I would trust with my cars. Thanks guys!

I scheduled them to see my car from a week ago. They see it today and do a computer code scan on it charge me $100 for it. You can get this done at O'Reilly's or AutoZone for free. They put in a new battery and say it takes an hour to do a battery. I asked them how much to actually fix the problem cus they didn't fix the actual problem they said 2 hours and $250. They had it the whole day and didn't fix the actual problem. In order to fix this I have to leave a car with them for two whole days it's ridiculous.

We were on vacation in the area from Missouri when we had a sudden issue with our fuel pump! Mario was very expedient with determining the problem and getting us in and out quickly! Xavier drove us to the Space Museum while our vehicle was getting fixed. The customer service was outstanding and quality of the work was superb! Teamwork is excellent! I highly recommend them!

We were traveling through the area and had an emergency issue with our truck. I called Alamo based on their excellent rating and Xavier told us to bring it right over and he had his mechanic make the repairs within just a few minutes. I wish we had such a reliable mechanic near us in our home in New Hampshire. Thank you Xavier!

Our car distributor broke down during our road trip from New York. We were towed to this body shop. They are beyond amazing. So friendly and helpful. Quick service, great staff. Probably the best and friendliest body shop I've ever been to. Thank you so much!

Was in town to visit a friend, car broke. Alamo auto gets good reviews so I went there needing help. I left the car with them for four days to fix the rear wheel. Try said all was fine, just needed an adjustment. They totally missed that the wheel was wobbling freely and a stabilizing rod was broken. Even I saw that when the car was in a lift!! And they even did a complete inspection to make sure I would be fine to drive up to Santa Fe! Totally screwed up my travel plans when it was a fairly straight forward easy to see problem. Not cool guys. Totally not cool.
