Stunning rooms, beautiful birdsong, very comfortable. The restaurant was closing early due to Easter and the staff called us to let us know and ask if we d like a snack - so thoughtful and so glad they did that because there wouldn t have been any place available for dinner! It was also very sweet, an egg salad sandwich, which reminded me of Easter s growing up.In the morning the cafe was very busy and only one you g man was working. He did an excellent job handling several demanding customers and our food came out promptly and as expected. Would recommend this place to anyone!Rooms: Beautifully designed adobe rooms

Abiquiu Inn is a beautiful peaceful place to visit. The restaurant Caf Abiquiu, is outstanding, especially love the patio seating. On a recent stay I enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at Caf Abiquiu and all of the meals were delicious. The chef is doing a wonderful job and the Blue corn trout is phenomenal. The waitstaff is amazing too, Robert was my server twice during my stay and he was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect for my meals. The restaurant can get busy during peak hours so patience is a must, but the waitstaff do a great job and the food is worth the wait!Rooms: The rooms are all very comfortable and quiet.

Stayed for one night in the king bedroom (room 2). Loved the kiva fire place! The room was wonderfully decorated, but there was issues: toilet was leaking at the base every time you flushed and the tile was stained from the leakage. Found dog/human hair on my socks after walking on the floor and the shampoo/soap dispenser in the shower didn t work. I did mention it to the front desk when we checked out and he said he would let maintenance know.Bed was comfy and the southwestern decor was very nice.Rooms: Our Room notes are in my review. The more expensive casitas looked very nice.

What an experience! Nice, quiet location with an amazing staff, gift shop and the restaurant. Did I mention the restaurant? Enjoyed a wonderful dinner out on the patio. The views from there are extraordinary. Breakfast was equally amazing. Above all, the room was great. It was clean, comfortable beds and a beautiful kiva fireplace. The room also included access to a courtyard. Wow! I will be back for another weekend of rest and relaxation.

The Abiquiu Inn Cafe has gone down hill. Service is extremely slow. Wait staff is not friendly and has no sense of urgency. Went to have dinner last night to show my daughter this was the perfect place for her Bridal Shower. They did not impress her one bit. This used to be our favorite place to eat. Not no more. Nor will I refer travelers to this restaurant. Not sure if the wait staff was cooking and waiting on people at the same time. Food was cold, chicken over cooked and took about an hour from when we placed our order to receive it.

I took my family to the Abiquiu Inn Cafe for some good food. I will never go back to this place. We had a party of 7 people. The restaurant was not busy at all. There were 3 tables that I could see that were in use. The hostess ignored us when we walked in, and when we were at our table. I had to ask her if she was going to seat us! The food took 2(!) hours to get to our table. I ordered the blue corn crusted trout with an extra ala carte piece. They charged me for 2 plates instead of ala carte, and put a humongous glob of tasteless polenta on my plate. This place is not cheap! Needless to say I was not impressed with their presentation nor the food. Everyone at my table thought the food, and service were terrible. Also, I noticed that the other tables were getting horrible service as well. I WAS a long time customer, but I won't be giving them my business, NEVER AGAIN. Go eat in Espanola, it's only 15 minutes away. If I can help one person not be treated like we were, my job is done. Additionally, they changed the menu for like the third or fourth time. There really in nothing I wanted eat there. Done, done, done.

Our reason for being in the area was sad.. attended a family members funeral at the Abiquiu church.. afterward, they served food at the nearby gym. I've been on Carnivore lifestyle since Aug 4th, 2023, and they had nothing I could eat. By the time we finished visiting with everyone, I was starving, and my wife had already said that we were going to stop by the family ranch for a while before driving back to Albuquerque. That left me with one choice.. Abiqui Inn! Lucky me.. I ordered the hamburger (without the bun and veggies), and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had already eaten but couldn't pass up the daily special, which was fish tacos, also tasty. If you're on a trip that takes you through Abiqui, NM stop at the Abiqui Inn! Add great service, peaceful ambiance. I know that we will be going every time we visit the ranch

Beautiful!! I really enjoyed the little shared courtyard in back. It was lovely having a coffee in the morning and watching the hummingbirds tussle over the flowers of the vines. The restaurant was tasty. The little shop attached to the lobby had lots of fun things. I bought some coffee but I haven't tried it yet. Great experience. I would absolutely go back!

Popped in for lunch on a whim and this place did not disappoint. Had a grilled cheese with green Chile and it blew me away, wasn't expecting the gourmet bread it was Delicious. The lemonade is a welcomed surprise. Use the facilities 9n your way out to enjoy the hand scrub, hand soap and hand cream treat. And don't forget to buy some violet tea to enjoy at home. Can't wait to go back.

We are more than grateful that the staff here is so friendly. We would love to stay again if they'd have us. The service was always friendly even if they got our orders wrong more often than not. The location for us was perfect. We were visiting family in the area. So, we were really close to where we needed to be every day.Nearby activities: O'Keefe Museum, Walking trails, Horse therapyWalkability: There's a restaurant on site that is within walking distance from your room.Food & drinks: There is a restaurant on site.

Spent one night at the Inn. It is very well kept with beautiful grounds and clean rooms. The place was very accomodating, including tips for stargazing/telescope setup locations within the premises. All meals at the restaurant were excellent, but definite room for improvement with waiting staff who were mostly slacking all together on a booth not acknowledging tables on more than one occasion.Overall a great experience, and would happily recommend the Abiquiu Inn.

Simply lovely stay at this "just right" Inn located in Georgia OKeefe country. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and the restaurant was so great! Really delicious! Every meal we had was perfect. I can't wait to return. Nice people work here, and it makes all the difference. Great stay!Food & drinks: We enjoyed Santa Fe-style Mexican, burgers, salads, and breakfast. All we're prepared to perfection, and service was great!

A true gem. My husband and I ended up here after the route to our original accommodations became unreachable due to snow/muddy roads. We showed up before 7am after a long night of driving - spotting this peaceful inn off the side of the road. Deanna helped us and made sure a room was available to immediately check into after breakfast. She was very helpful during our stay.We loved our casita room that was modern, neatly decorated, with an Adobe gas fireplace that really made it cozy. It was perfect and reasonably priced, especially for how last minute our check in was.The meals at the restaurant were also surprisingly delicious; they even had a New Year s Eve set menu that was generous, delicious, and well priced. The natural setting and open horse field made for a really nice retreat. I would 100% return again if in the area.

To our delight, The Abiquiu Inn offers higher end rooms than we were expecting, with many artistic touches and much attention to detail for a very reasonable room rate (The Plaza Blanca King Suite). The shared courtyard patio is lovely, though the furniture was in need of a good cleaning.Unfortunately, the front desk staff members were not particularly welcoming. Nor were they helpful when we asked for assistance. The restaurant, on the other hand, is cozy and the patio is peaceful. Dinner was delicious, but breakfast was meh (never had overcooked pancakes, but they were definitely overcooked). Heads up: we were there in May, and most of the other restaurants in tiny little Abiquiu are open Thurs-Sunday only. So Abiquiu Inn Cafe was the only game in town Mon and Tues. Another Heads up: restaurant service was beyond SLOW, even for typical New Mexico laid back standards, so if you are in a rush to get somewhere, schedule accordingly. There is art work everywhere, so you can enjoy looking at that while you wait for your meals. The Abiquiu Inn has its kinks, but we really enjoyed its setting. We would stay there again the next time we return to this beautiful and inspirational area.

Really neat hotel - rooms are basically like duplexes nestled in the trees. The tin roof awnings and aderondac chairs make for a nice place to sit when it rains. Artwork is spread throughout the grounds. This is a truly unique place to stay.

I was a part of the hiking group in early April and stayed here overnight. I would stay here, again.Rooms: My room was spacious with two queen size beds and a nice kiva fireplace. It also had a small backyard.Safety: You access your room using a traditional key, not a keycard. I felt safe overnight.Walkability: You need a car to go to any nearby hiking trails or attractions except the O'Keeffe Welcome Center which is located next to the inn. You can tour the Welcome Center in just 20 minutes. Also, the Georgia O'Keeffe House Museum is down the road, about a 15-min. walk.Food & drinks: Caf Abiquiu: The service was slow, especially for breakfast.

Food was delicious and service in general was great - I was disappointed to learn upon returning home and looking at the receipt that the server had not told us that 20 percent tip had already been added to the check. There was an empty line on the check for additional tip, so each person in our party proceeded to add an additional 20 percent. This felt sneaky, uncommunicative and unprofessional from an institutional protocol standpoint.

Enjoyed our five-day stay here in a red mesa suite. Simple New Mexican decor with corner kiva fireplace (electric). Everything was spotless and welcoming. Nice size for spreading out. The room was next to a lovely garden with its own outdoor fire, along with sheltering cottonwoods and sculptures. Serene. This place is right off a country road, which can be busy during the day. My friend said she heard traffic at times, but I never did. Our patio overlooking a nearby field was modest and could have been larger. The inn's restaurant served delicious meals, and I especially enjoyed breakfasts seated at a window. Helpful staff. Great location for exploring the Chama River valley and Georgia O'Keeffe country.

I have been driving past the Abiquiu Inn for years and never thought about staying. Last weekend my family and I decided to stay one night. The front staff was amazing, very helpful. Our room was a cozy Casita with a gas fireplace furnished in southwest decor. I only wish they had a microwave since the kids like to eat popcorn. Our family stayed room 12. I fly fished the Rio Chama during the day while the wife and kiddos relaxed in the room.Food & drinks: There is restaurant on site, the food is new Mexican style.

Fantastic food; one in a million restaurants that will serve you a tall glass of water that's so refreshing, better tasting water than anywhere else!! Beautiful outside seating. You're even invited to bring your canine into the patio area's. Please make sure your canine is well behaved and manners. Prices are reasonable especially for the food you taste along being served by the ultimate wait staff. Thank you Abiquiu Inn

I had dinner recently at the Abiquiu Inn as part of a party of five. We enjoyed our evening, tipped generously, and only noticed the next day that we had, in fact, unwittingly tipped twice. Unbeknownst to us, a Tip Amount of 20% had already been added prior to the Subtotal. Not given to examining the bill for errors and certainly not suspecting the Abiquiu Inn of overcharging us, we calculated the tip based on the larger sum and paid.In retrospect, it is difficult not to feel duped.Cursory research into New Mexican law reveals that the Federal Consumer Attorney s Office (Profeco), an agency in charge of defending consumer rights, stipulates that restaurants are not authorized to include a tip, because the very definition of a tip is that it is voluntary. It is, in fact, illegal to include it without the consumer s consent. The consumer is protected in this by Article 10 of the Federal Consumer Law.A restaurant may include a Recommended Tip on the bill, but it may not be calculated, along with the sales tax, as part of the final bill, as the Abiquiu Inn has done. While restaurants occasionally charge an automatic gratuity for large parties of eight or more, the law stipulates that they must let customers know in advance of the surcharge for automatic gratuity for large parties. According to law, such a fee is only permissible if the policy is made abundantly clear to the customers before the order is placed. In our case, we were a party of five, and the extra charge on our bill is clearly labeled Tip Amount, but is positioned above the Sales Tax and Subtotal in such a way that it is virtually unnoticeable. It is difficult not to conclude that this is an act of deliberate subterfuge.I have written this review in the hopes of alerting future customers to the danger of being overcharged at this establishment. I would like to stress that the service was fine, and that our complaint is against the establishment, and not the waitress. We do think that an apology is in order, along with a demonstrable change in practice to avoid further overcharging customers.Thank you.

Nice & quaint. I liked that I didn t have a room near the road. The fireplace made the room warm & toasty. Better shades could afford a bit more privacy though. I arrived at night and couldn t find a sign pointing me to the front desk. The room was clean and comfortable. A bit pricy though. I checked prices days later and they were much lower than what I had paid.

Beautiful property with wonderful hosts and a great restaurant and close to Ghost Ranch. Decorated in traditional Santa Ge style and beautiful flowers. We stayed 3 nights and ate at the restaurant every night. Delicious and innovative food on a beautiful patio ( great for covid). Or in a nice dining room with wonderful art of the area. We bought a piece! Even when the whole area had a power outage due to an dust storm, they were prepared with flashlights and candles and sandwiches. Luckily power came back on after a couple of hours and we had another spectacular dinner there! Hiking is amazing in this area, including Ghost Ranch, and guided tours about Georgia O Keefe and the history of the ranch are great
