Had a dead battery that I nor a tow truck driver could jump start, so I had my 435 towed to this shop. Turns out the battery couldn't hold a charge, so it needed to be replaced. Steve and the guys took care of everything and got me in and out of there with a new battery in probably under an hour! I also mentioned that my cigaret lighter wasn't working when discussing if maybe I had an electrical issue before finding that the battery was shot. To my surprise they fixed that at no charge! Much appreciated! I've had a great experience every time I've come to this shop! My BMW friends have also had great experiences as well!

Had them do some modifications, explained every step of the way as well as kept me updated on the process, very professional outfit with a clean facility, highly recommend!

Great work by "Smitty" and crew. They gave me an honest appraisal of the work needed and the car is running great again. A couple of sensors faulted that that could have indicated major repairs, Smitty just replaced and reset the sensors as needed.But, unfortunately, for the 3rd or 4th time BMW dealerships have not reported needed and covered "warranty" repairs when the warranties have ended. Which were the actual repairs I needed :) Thanks to a friend for the recommendation to this honest extremely competent mechanic. I highly recommend, great work, honest mechanic work done on time.Review Update!We have serviced the car only at Motor Works West since the first time and every time Smitty, John and crew are 100% spot on with diagnoses, honest, fair, on time and the work is faultless. We are ecstatic to have been recommended to Motor Works West. Like many folks I know we are trying to hold on to this car as long as possible and I feel confident that we will be able to keep it running a long time with these excellent honest mechanics.

Steve and crew are awesome, I've been using them since I got my M550. Service is always fast and top notch. To show you how dedicated they are to quality I've watched them actually use a torque wrench on oil drain plugs. Good luck getting that attention to detail at a dealer. While that should be the standard, we all know it never is at most places. If you are looking for a great shop this is it.

Motor Works West makes the case for independent specialist care. Clean, courteous and professional operation with excellent service at reasonable rates. Very customer focused, recommending only what your BMW needs to stay fit and nothing more. I have been a customer since 2012.

Bmw dealer misdiagnosed my car. Brought my car into Motor works west and they got correct on the first try. True master mechanics! I requested pictures of my baby while it was under the knife and they delivered! I will be a life long customer. Steve was very through in his explanation of what the issue was A+ communication every step of way.

My X6 is older and had an expensive problem. I so appreciated the team at Motor Works West explaining everything thoroughly with all options..and then before committing to the "expensive" part, double checking that I had the correct diagnosis..who even does that anymore. Of course, they were correct and my baby is running smooth as silk. Thank you John, Steve and team!

Fast and efficient. Made the appointment through their web portal for routine maintenance. Text message confirmation received. Pleasant and professional as always. Recommended additional part and thoroughly explained the cost and benefit without "mansplaining". Would gladly and highly recommend to any BMW owner. Thank you, Bill.

Above and beyond....I had only found out about Motor Works West recently and have been kicking myself ever since. From my first service to the most recent Steve and his Motor Works West have been amazing. The facilities and staff are all top notch! Service and communication is always honest and trustworthy. Steve even went above and beyond to help not long ago when our car needed some attention. We were out of town on a weekend and I will always remember that. I wish I could service my other car here! I always recommend this shop to anyone who asks. Highly recommend!!

Motor works west is a completely top notch facility for BMW work and modifications. It was obvious in initial conversations with Steve they are super knowledgeable and customer centric. Glad I did the research and found this company.

I have been going to Motor Works West for over a decade. Steve and his team are good people and do really, really good work. I always feel comfortable that I get a good price and my cars come out of the shop in great shape.

Extremely satisfied with the service provided by Motor Works West. I was tired of paying a fortune and waiting 6 hours at a dealership, and I was actually turned away twice from another dealership saying I didn't NEED service (and my oil light went on a week later!) MWW was direct, professional, prompt and courteous and fair. I didn't feel like I was being ripped off! When I drove away, my 2013 X1 felt like it was brand new. THANK YOU! Highly recommend!

I brought my 2011 BMW 328i into Motor Works West with a VANOS issue. I was quoted in detail within hours and given some options for additional recommended proactive repairs which I approved as part of the repair.Fast forward a week later I picked up my car. All repairs were made and verified. I spoke with the technician that made the repairs and he took the time to show me all of the defective parts that were replaced with the updated BMW replacements.I am very satisficed with their work and pricing. There where no surprises.I would highly recommend Motor Works West for your BMW repair.Excellent professional service and a first rate staff and facility!

I love bringing my car to Motor Works West! They are honest and professional! I never knew when I would go to other car repair places if i was getting taken advantage of, but I never feel that way here! They are thorough and always informative! I ve always had my car back the same day I bring it in! The staff is always friendly as well!!

Got taken advantage of, a lot of guesswork. Perfect example as the other one star reviews. This could or could not repair your issue but we think this it is because we checked everything else. Brought my car in to register the battery and look the laundry list of repairs the dealer told me I needed when I went in for a recall. They took the time to check my car and were honest about what was necessary. I will definitely be returning to Motor Works West and referring other BMW owners to them.

After several years of paying insanely inflated rates at my local dealership, I finally decided to check out another option. Steve the owner has been absolutely exceptional. He actual took the time to explain the issue with my car and provided different options. I ve had two items fixed recently and both jobs were significantly less than the dealership and the work was outstanding.I ve decided Motorworks is my primary BMW mechanic from this point forward!Thanks Steve for you and your team s amazing work!

The MW team was quick efficient and verykeep me informedWhen I go to the dealer my car disappears and feedback is little to none.The team knew I had to get back to work and waiting for the car so they got me in and out quickly.They are in tune to what BMW pricing is and are extremely fair.I would rather be a name then just a number at the ridiculously priced dealership!

Great service overall, clear communication and very reasonable price. Steve was very accommodating and pleasant to work with even for someone who has been to their service center for the first time. Highly recommended, I think I found a spot to bring my BMW for future servicing needs.

My 2011 BMW 328i convertible broke down on the side of the road. I read the error and described the symptoms to the tech at Motor Works West. He was able to troubleshoot a bit over the phone, and recommended having the car towed to his shop. I used my State Farm Roadside assistance to have it towed.Later that day, he called me with the estimate and diagnosis. The next day they fixed the car with the new water pump and thermostat, and wanted to test drive to ensure everything was good. I picked up the car, which was in the back parking lot, and it started perfectly and drives great.If you re looking for highly knowledgeable BMW experts, this is the place. I own two BMW s and this is now my go to mechanic.

I'm always comfortable leaving my car for service here. I am confident they will do a great job. They're super helpful and informative. I brought my car in on a Wednesday and they needed to order parts and fix a few things, the car was done in two days! Very efficient, highly recommend.

On very short notice, I needed to make a lengthy road trip. But I was needing an oil change before I departed. Steven was able to squeeze me in early the next day. Always professional and courteous service at Motor Works West. Much appreciated.

I highly recommend Motor Works West. I use them for regular maintenance and major services. Their work is excellent, they thoroughly check out your car and road test it. Their pricing is very fair and materially lower than dealership rates. Steve recently upgraded my car to a Dinan Stage 2 tune. I am really pleased with the tune. Car runs incredibly and making close to 400HP. When I picked up the car Steve surprised me by removing stains on my rims that I was unable to power wash off. I hadn t asked him to do this. He did it on his own. I was totally blown away. Really happy with my experiences.

My son had my X5 for the Memorial Day long weekend at south shore. The car wouldn't start while he was ready to come home. I had him towed the car directly to Motor Works West directly because I knew they are going to do it right. Dropped the car and key there at night, the next morning I received the call from Steven that the car was ready for pickup. The battery was totally dead. They replaced the battery with my permission, performed short test, registered the battery and cleared fault memory. They also gave some recommendations for further maintenance. The car is good to go again :)Services: Electrical, Oil change
