This is the best mechanic you could go to, I will travel an hour just to bring my car to this place. Graham is always honest and fair and never trying to sell you something more. Him and his staff put out quality work in a timely manner. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I 100% recommend ASC. Graham and crew are attentive, responsive, and most of all I never felt like they were taking me for a ride. I have been having issues with my local dealership, but with ASC s help everything is running great with my car again. A friend of mine brought his Dodge Charger because his car was over heating. The mechanic diagnosis the vehicle it needed a new motor because of this. I personally went and picked the car up and drove it home, when I scanned the car all it needed was a temperature sensor a inexpensive part. This is the second time I used them and second time they tried to tell me I didn t know what I was talking about. When I spoke with the manager and told him his mechanic diagnosed the car wrong. I didn t get any form of apology just a good for you. Great customer service!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Literally A++++ . I am leasing a Mercedes and I brought it there and they told me I HAD TO replace my tire that was flat for $450.... brought my car here for the first time and they charged me $32. They plugged my tire as it didn t need to be fully replaced. So honest and the customer service was excellent. Kurt at the front desk was so nice too!!! Definitely coming back and definitely referring Service: Tires

The team at Automotive Service Center really does a wonderful job month in and month out for our family. We ve used this business for almost 20 years and have found them to be one of the local businesses we rely on for our family. What I like about them most is the care and attention to detail. Our cars come back clean and work is done properly (the first time) allowing us to enjoy our lives and our cars. Couldn t honestly ask for a better experience!

This place is so friendly. We are from out of town headed to Ohio to visit family. We suddenly heard a rattling/grinding sound. We did a quick google search and this shop was only a 15 min drive. Called and they told us to come on over. Saw us right away and found it was simply a loose part that was rattling around. They were so kind didn t even charge us for diagnosing the issue. Saved our trip thank you so much!Service: General repairs & maintenance

We have been taking our cars to ASC for at least 15 years. The place is immaculate and the customer service gentleman (I think their names are Graham & Kurt) are knowledgeable and friendly. We have always felt they are honest and don't push unnecessary repairs. Great place and great service.

ASC is 'THE' place to go for automotive repairs in the Whitehouse / Readington area. Just drive by and look at the parking lot to see for yourself - it is always full of vehicles to be worked on. I have been going there for over 15 years and would only go someplace else if i had to (for example: auto maker recall work that has to be performed at a Dealership). Curt and Graham on the front desk are great from start to finish. I met the owner and he ensures that his team shares his attitude about providing great customer service. Work is always done well. Quality parts are always used. Pricing is reasonable and fair. Everything is explained ahead of time (before work is done) so that there are no surprises. If I ever had a problem (rare, but things happen in life...) it was handled promptly, professionally and to my satisfaction. These guys are the best of the best!!! Real human beings and do not take advantage of you during a tough situation. My daughters car broker down. These guys towed the car for free. Did not charge storage fee while it remained in their facility. These guys are the best of the best!!! 5 star treatment without a doubt!!!

I've been taking my cars here for 15 years. It's a rare find to go to a mechanic and get an honest assessment about what's wrong with my car. They never try to up-sell me. They always say what's a must and what can wait. Reliable, efficient, fair prices and honest! I'm a customer for life.

By far the best mechanic in the area of not New Jersey. No longer in the area, but I will drive 45 mins just to have these guys work on my car if it is not an emergency. Graham is a very straight forward and honest guy. Family will continue to come here as long as we are around the general area.

I have used this place for the last 15 years and had many (with all four of my vehicles) visits to include: Oil changes, Tire repair, Tire replacement and Brakes.As of today I have used them for the last time due to my recent service experience. This place and the customer service have changed dramatically over the past years.My recent incident was my car broke down and was towed to Automotive Service center two days ago. Since I have had all my issue handled by them I assumed this would not be an issue.Left a message that night on the recorder that evening with what happened and asked them to take a look to determine what happened or next steps. Did not get a call at all in the morning about the vehicleSo I called and they had not checked the messages left that night (Really didn t even know the car was to be checked, good thing I called) and said they would check it out later that day.They said there was a significant damage done to the fuel tank resulting in the fuel pump not working and the need to replace both the fuel tank and the fuel pump. Upon having a look at the damage I agreedthere was a big dent in the fuel tank. I told them I would check to see if insurance would cover it but it needed to be replaced either through insurance or my pocket.I was told it would take a day or two to get the parts. Insurance inspected the car and agreed it was covered under the insurance but came up with significantly lower parts pricing.The insurance company thought their labor charge or 120.00 per hour was a littler higher than the norm but agreed to pay the labor and they would send the parts to them to install if they agreed . THEY AGREED to install it!Today I received a call that they had received the parts they ordered and they would install those parts but at a rate of 4 times the insurance part rates. What? You mean no one cancelled the original order for parts the day before? I said no since they wanted their full rate price and insurance would not cover it.They then told me they would not install the other parts when they arrive, even though they agreed with the insurance provider they would prior to this conversation.Why would I pay another $800.00 because no one canceled and order?Since they would not do the job they committed to I informed them I was towing the vehicle to someone who would do the work as spec d by my insurance. I was then informed I would have to pay a restocking fee and diagnosis fee for a total of $365.72! Really?I feel as though arrangements could have been made to accommodate both parties, especially after so many years of being their customer exclusively. I guess they felt they needed the $365 more than they needed me.Never see me again that is for sure. Buyers beware at this place!

Horrible service will not return. Do not use this place.Oil change service promises to top off fluids , not even wiper fluid was refilled. When I asked the clerk behind the counter about it, clerk was extremely passive aggressive and responded that they do not in fact honor their advertisement to do the necessary checks and replenish the appropriate fluids.Service: Oil change

I've been using these guys for a couple years with some here and there problems. Most of the time they do decent work, but not this time. I took my car in to replace the clutch. The first time they said "its done and all finished" it was worse than when I dropped it off. Brought it in a second time, and now they said there was a service bulletin for my cars clutch. So why wasnt this addressed the first time? Its taken them about two weeks to get to this point and it still isnt back to the way it use to be. It starts rougher than it ever has, and shifter knob has a lot more play in it when it in gear.Edit: Since then I have been in touch with the owner about taking care of some of the residing issues. He has been good about setting everything straight and getting it back to the way it was. the clutch might have been an off day for the tech or what not but they were willing to accommodate to get everything right.

I have been using ASC for years not only for my personal vehicles but our business vehicles as well. Graham and Kurt are the best. Very knowledgeable, patient, and always helpful. I cant say enough good things about this place.

I went this this shop to get a set of tires mounted and balanced for my car. They came as a recommended shop via Tirerack and via Google reviews back in the spring time. Tire were mounted and balanced in a timely manor without and problems and service was great.Come winter time, it is time to put on my snow tires. I haven't taken the tires off of the car since the spring time.The lug bolts were completely over torqued into the hubs. Removal of the lug bolts required a four foot pipe to gain enough leverage to remove them. This is completely unsafe and for this to occur shows, to put simply, complete laziness by the mechanic that handled this job. The lug bolts were stretched beyond the manufacturers spec putting them at risk for failure while driving. Failure would mean that the wheel bolts would break and the wheel would come off the car while driving.Properly torquing lug nuts or lug bolts is a very basic operation, every trained mechanic knows how to do this. For a simple job like mounting and balancing tires I would not recommend this shop for those services. I will also send notification to Tirerack stating my concerns about using this shop as a recommended installer for future customers.

These guys really helped me out today. I probably hit something on 78 and worried I had damaged my car. I dropped in and they promptly examined my car. Fortunately everything was ok and they didn't charge me anything for the eval. It was great service.

This is the only place I'll take my car. A trustworthy mechanic can be so hard to find & I'm so glad I did. I feel comfortable with the entire team at Automotive Service Center. They are professional and the service is great.

Took my 1997 MB E320 with two blown out tires to ASC to have new tires mounted and balanced. They cleaned up the road rash on the wheels and with the four wheel alignment the car felt solid again. Great Job ASC!

ASC was great to work with-- a friend's car needed repairs to fuel system, and the ASC team was conscientious in diagnosing the problem, clear about what they could do and how much it would cost, and did a great job of repairs. He drove it home the same day, as promised.
