Had a horrible experience with this company a couple weeks ago. I wanted to share my experience with others so this knd of thing does not happen to others. I have towing service on my progressive policy and after I requested roadside assistance Brookwood was sent out. My car died on my driveway due to a bad starter. This happened on a Friday and I got a call on Monday from the shop letting me know the whole steering linkage bar was bent and the truck was not drivable and it is very likely it was the tow truck that caused the damages because they hooked the truck in the wrong spot. After having to replace the steering linkage and drive gear box so about 1100 hundred in damages the insurance and myself reached out to them so they could pay for damages and they absolutely said no and that's it. One of the tow drivers even went to the shop and acknowledged it was damaged by the original driver who hooked the truck and still refused to pay for damages. I need the truck for work so I could not afford to wait over a month just so they continue to investigate this nonsense so I just paid out of pocket for repairs. Hope this helps someone else to steer away from this company. They are not to be trusted with your vehicle.

Outstanding experience. Quote was delivered within 5 minutes and was a third of the cost of the next most cost effective quote. I also had a quote over three time what these guys offered me. My vehicle was in and out in a timely fashion. The business owner, Melissa, was in communication during the entire process. She even went as far as notifying me that a part I had ordered to be replaced, was in fact damaged. She alerted me to contact the vendor. The part was installed and I see no problems, personally. Her attention to detail goes miles. The part vendor even sent a partial refund and these can have a beer on me with that money anytime.

Excellent service from reasonable pricing to friendly knowledgeable service. I highly highly recommend this mechanic for anybody with automotive needs. And they are most importantly honest which is very hard to find nowadays, especially in New Jersey, New York area.

Horrible towing experience. Driver refused to drop me off with my vehicle. Very mean. Cursed. Ignore my questions. Seemed aggravated and upset at his job. Don t recommend. Not friendly person. Called the auto body and complain.

Trash company. They left my car on the side of the side of the highway. Can t get anyone on the phone. Needed a tire changed but guy said the nut was stripped so now I needed a tow. They said we needed to change the info with the insurance and we did. The company put my car on the truck, drove it a mile down the highway and then took it off and left my car sitting there. They didn t bother to call and let us know. It was only when I called the dealer did I realize my car was stranded on the highway. You guys really suck.

They towed my car! On time and Excellent customer service!! Isaiah was my driver!They later fixed my car! We broke down on our way to CT from GA. Melissa, the owner, and Tommy, the mechanic, we wonderful! Fixed my car and we are back on the road! Thank you so much!

I took my son s Honda Civic here after he got into a car accident. The car needed extensive bodywork and repair. Melissa, the owner, was extremely attentive, kind and kept me updated. She advocated for my car s best interest with the insurance company. She went out of her way to educate me about parts and procedures in a way that was calming & informative. I will be switching repair shops & going to Brookwood from now on. GREAT OVERALL EXPERIENCE.Services: Painting, Body & Trim, Brakes, Battery

I was picking up groceries when smoke started coming out from under my hood. The car wasn't overheating so I opened the hood to find a coolant hose unattached. Most of my coolant drained out of the car in the parking lot so the car obviously wasn't drivable. My insurance company dispatched Brookwood to tow my car. I was told there would be a 60-90 minute wait. Imagine my surprise when the driver called and told me he was 15 minutes away! He picked up my car and dropped it off at my house exactly where I asked him to. He was so fast that my perishable items were fine. This was definitely a positive experience during a difficult situation. I would definitely use this company again if the need arose and will certainly recommend them to others.

On January 18, 2016, I contracted with Brookwood Enterprises and/or Brookwood Auto to restore a 1967 Pontiac Firebird. The original contract estimate was $6,493.83. Thereafter, we revised their agreement and a new estimate was provided for $10,794.89. I have evidence that I paid said amount in full, however, Brookwood Auto has failed to restore my vehicle, thereby breaching the contract. Moreover, since 2016 Brookwood Auto has neglected their contractual obligations to restore my 1967 Pontiac Firebird. They now seek $31,285.57 to complete restoration of my 1967 Pontiac Firebird. The original contracted restoration fee was $10,794.89. They refuse to return my vehicle. This constitutes consumer fraud.

Liberty mutual roadside assistance contacted this company, i tracked their whereabouts for 2 hours they then called me and said that they had 1 driver and the one driver was stuck in traffic in Elizabeth. Why if you had one driver, would you accept a tow for someone 10 minutes from your business to only wait 2 hours to tell them they won't make it. It was an Incredible disappointment, I get there are shortages on staff and stuff, but that's just rude. I ended up waiting on the side of a busy busy road for 3 hours for a tow

Our USAA roadside assistance contacted Brookwood towing they were on time and professional. We have a tricky driveway and the tow was because we lost the key and it had to be towed to dealership. The drive was able to get it on the truck within 10mins. This was the 2nd company to be dispatched the first one showed up and refused to tow claimed it was to hard. Excellent job Brookwood job!

We used this towing service for the first time today. They were referred by our insurance company through their towing assistance coverage. I have to say I was a bit leery when I looked them up, because they had a lot of low reviews.However, I was really pleasantly surprised and feel I should give credit where credit is due. Melissa from their office telephone to confirm that they had received the request from NJM. She was very polite and professional and a pleasure to deal with on the phone. The tow truck operator also was very professional and polite. He found when he was about five minutes away and he was on time. He had my husband s truck hooked up with in a few minutes and was very polite and professional. Overall, our experience with this company today Was great.

Called my insurance for a tow and it showed Brookwood was being sent. Should be an hour and a half. 3 hours later I can no longer track the driver through my insurance and apparently they re not coming. Still waiting for my insurance to answer the phone. they finall showed aropund 3-1/2 to 4 hours after the initial call.

My car broke down, I called them because I have heard they are very trustworthy and I am glad I did. They were able to tow my car very quickly. I also needed repair done to my car and after price shopping, they were an easy choice. Friendly service and gave me some great advice about my car which you will not get at other auto repair services that just want your money. Call them if you want an honest, and fair price

Terrible serviceDriver showed up at my house late said he went in the wrong direction But the town he claimed to be in doesn t have my road name showed up mumbling cursing that I have a lowered vehicle even tho I requested a flatbed.Made me back my own car up even tho there where 2 capable men.Told the guy he was training do as I say not as I do. You should always have 4 straps on but I am only using 2.I tried calling the company and got told I can t speak to a manager so I called back the next day and the lady who answered for me originally told me magically she is the manager all of a suddenAbsolutely terrible companyNever trust them to tow

My car stoped working in a parking lot I waited 3 hours for the tow to come which I can understand with traffic.. But after my car got towed at 8:30 pm, i didn't find out until the next morning from my mechanic that the car was never dropped off! I was stuck spending 3 hours calling all of the drivers to find out where my car was and after everyone saying oh my shift is over I dont know where your car is. It finally got dropped off at 10 am this morning.. This company is very unprofessional and i would rather wait 5 hours for another company then to use this one again!

Been having a miserable few months with my POS car, needed a tow to Totowa. Ended up being helped by the OWNER of the shop, Melissa, who was professional, prompt and an overall delight. So happy to know this service is so close to work Incase of another mishap.Update:Tow truck driver (Mike) also awesome. Prompt, professional and fast. 17/10 recommend this Tow company

I work over at the Avalon complex next door, and I started going here because I have reoccurring issues with my rav4. I could walk here at a moment's notice so I figured I'd give this place a try. The staff here have been nothing short of wonderful! Very welcoming and top notch at what they do. Definitely recommend them!

Sal is a great mechanic! He helped with a tow situation and a regular oil change. I believe some of these comments are mistaken for the other company called Brookwood (Newark) because there is no receptionist at this business.

Yonathon was so helpful and kept me at ease despite my car not turning on at all and being upset over it.He came quickly and was so kind!great service and will def. Use him again in a heartbeart. Professional and polite - great experience!

Some employees working for this company are 100% the most UNHELPFUL and UNPROSESSION people i have ever done business with. The staff is the RUDEST bunch of people i have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. Not only did the rude man hang up on my step father for refusing to sign a waiver for potentially damaging the car that belongs to FORD, but then proceeded to hang up on him instead of explaining the situation . After hanging up on him, he had the AUDACITY to call back and tell him to go F himself and call my mother a B. As someone who works in customer service, i would NEVER!!!!!! speak to anyone the way this man did. HOWEVER, the owner of the company was a delight. He was so helpful, aplogized for employees behavior and assured us we would be taken care of as soon as possible, so thank you for that. That was very much appreciated.

Company was dispatched through my insurance company. I was told an ETA of little over an hour. Company didn't show up after 2 hours. Insurance company had to dispatch another company.

This is is the worst towing service I have ever encountered. We waited for over 2 hours. After we called twice to check on the status, they proceeded to cancel service. This company is unprofessional, unreliable and I would never recccomend.

Took them over 4 hours to tow or car. Then after having the car for 6 days they tell my wife they have no clue what is wrong with it and proceed to charge $151 for diagnostic testing. Stay away from them.
