Great service and reasonable prices. They fix what you ask them to fix. If you ask questions they'll give you honest answers. Fairview Auto is a reliable and trustworthy auto repairWe have been using them for over 10 years with 4 different cars (all over 10 years old)They only do the necessary work and suggest upcoming work (example..you have 10K left on. brakes)Or.. the noise was a simple cover rubbing and non charge. You get the idea.Work is done professionally and in appropriately timely manner ..Highly recommendHighly recommended

This is the place my family and I take our cars when we need routine maintenance or major work. We have been going for a few years. They are so knowledgeable, dependable, caring, honest and polite. If the car needs something done and they notice another small issue, they are quick to take care of that too without nickel and diming you. Always a 5 star experience. I feel very content knowing I have a reliable place to go with my car troubles and regular maintenance. You don't need to overthink or second-guess this. Just trust them.

We took my husband's jeep here to have a lot of work done. Instead of doing the work, charging us thousands and the car dying a few months later they told us it's worse than we thought and now getting a new vehicle. Fairview Automotive got recommended to me by a friend about 3 years ago and I've been going there ever since with my Audi. I always get a great service there and most importantly, Jeff and Mark are honest and always do a great job on maintenance and repairs. They also provide a clear explanation and options. I'm very grateful for having a trusted place to bring my car in and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Consistently great experience. Long story short, instead of doing the repairs on my car, they recommended I call Subaru of America first and try to have goodwill cover the costs. Gave me great advice, with no benefit to them, since the work would be done at the dealer if Subaru decides to cover the costs. I will be going here from now on for any other maintenance I need, since I am no longer under warranty.

I went to them after reading their reviews on line(Yelp). They definitely live up to their reputation. I needed to have brake pads and rotors replaced on a RX350. Dropped off my car the night before and it was ready just as promised and slightly lower than the estimate quoted to me.I recommend Fairview Automotive to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic.

When you bring your car in for repairs, you typically expect to hear bad news. Usually, it's going to cost an arm and a leg to get your car back in shape. At Fairview, if the bill is high, you can at least be sure that it's high because your car genuinely needed that much work, and not because the shop is out to line its pockets. I've gone here for 2 years, and they've been courteous and trustworthy. They always discuss options with me, and never pressure me to do more expensive work when there is a less expensive option. They've apologized for having to charge me $200 to replace a $5 part because of the labor involved, but I had another shop quote me $800 for the same work. I highly recommend them.

Wow! What are wonderful service and people! They converted a bad day into a great experience.I am 5am commuter from Teaneck, NJ to Brooklyn, NY, and here we go- a flat tire on the way. I was referred to the car mechanic shop by my fianc� (who also had pleasant experience with them in the past). After the check-up, I was told my tire just had a piece of metal in it. They fixed it and in addition, they fixed my charger/lighter. The service price-....FREE! They literary said: we do not charge for tire fix. No need to say, I left a gratitude tip. And I wasn t the only one happy with them; while I was waiting (just 15 min- they are speedy too), there was another customer who brought a gift/Christmas basket.Finally, to all ladies who have been robbed by the car shops for no or minimal work- try this place!I am happy I found a car shop I can trust!

You would be doing yourself a dis-service going to any other place for repairs.Everybody knows that most mechanics aren't up to snuff and I have tried Many.These guys are up-front and honest. They do not overcharge - they even try to save you money. They pick-up your call right away and call you back the same day with issues and estimates. I have been a customer for about 5 years and will not go to another mechanic ever again. Lucked out I found them.

These guys are wonderful! My car had trouble starting and I went to another shop and they replaced the starter motor. Three days later the new motor wasn't working properly anymore so I went to them but turned out they were closed for 5 days on account of Christmas.After searching around I ended up at Fairview Automotive and Jeff was kind enough to take a look. He recognized the supplier of the motor and asked them to honor the warranty at his shop. The replacement motor was installed and my car has been running normally since then. I really needed my car over the weekend and these guys helped me out big time. I offered extra to show my appreciation but they wouldn't have it. Thanks Jeff and Mark, you've earned a new fan.

I am new to the area, and found a great local garage with intelligent, respectful, and honest, mechanics, Jeff Lenc and Mark Coslow. Highly recommend this garage.. Drove in with Toyota Camry in morning, dropped off car with Jeff: oil leak, check engine light on, problem with exhaust, He politely asked if I made an appointment. I said no, he said sometimes they get busy all at once. I had noticed a couple of local delivery trucks there, so I knew they were good with light trucks and vans. Also saw BMWs and Mercedes Benz, and other domestic brands. Within 3 hours, before lunch, they got back to me with a complete analysis of everything that I had asked them to check-over with detailed cost estimates and priority of problem, (whether it could it wait or should it be taken care of immediately). Cost estimates were very reasonable. Explained to me in a clear, direct rational way, with no pressure. Very respectful. Very honest. Now here is why they are unique and why I recommend Jeff and Marc so highly. My Camry needed extensive work, but at that moment, he had diagnosed that the #2 sparkplug was misfiring, (check engine light was on.) When I went to pick it up, and had decided to bring in the second car that needed work ( also a Camry but not in such bad shape) , Marc said he had an extra spark plug and changed the bad one out. NO CHARGE! I insisted on paying, and he said, "No it is just something we do." Ok, it is an easy enough thing for him to do , but it was major for me because , now the car, with problems was drive-able to let me at least get the second car over to him. My advice: meet the person who you want to do business with , and right away you can tell that they are honest and forthright. You ought to be able to know the difference between a review from a person that had a bad day and decided to go off in a rant, and a person who actually did business with Jeff and Marc. No disrespect to the ladies in terms of mechanical knowledge, but we all have heard a story of how women get taken advantage of when it comes to mechanics...that said... I would feel comfortable if my wife had to drop off one of the cars there. The locals know the truth, this is a good garage, with good people.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I stopped in to have my brake lights replaced to avoid a ticket and/or having my car towed after a police officer pulled me over this morning and insisted I go immediately to have the situation fixed. I explained what happened to the nice mechanic who stopped work to come over to see how he could help me. He made sure the lights were not working, walked back into the garage, brought out a couple new bulbs (both lights were out) and replaced them for me. As I grabbed my wallet to settle with him for the bulbs and his time, he insisted that they don't charge for bulbs and he sent me on my way. Really?? Wow... I was not expecting that. What a wonderful and pleasant experience. It truly made my day. My son is a mechanic but lives a couple hours away. I wouldn't even consider having anyone else work on my car but my son but if I need something done on an emergency basis, I'll know now where to have the car towed locally if/when the need arises.

Can't say enough about this team at Fairview Auto, Mark et al, I have no agenda here, have lived in Bergen County 40+ years and used several mechanics over the years for minor & major work both foreign and domestic cars, We started using Fairview from a neighbor's recommendation 3 years ago- To summarize- they are very fair, take the time to explain, rates are reasonable and advice is sound. Scheduling and pickup is simple. Have never had an issue with any of the work that was done. I would recommend to family and friends.

Lance Lewis, I know it was a long time ago and doubt would answer or see this, but I think you are lying about what happened and your experience... or are leaving out alot of information and details.Somehow you are the only person to ever have an experience that was apparently SOOO negative. I know the guys pretty well over the years, if they responded that way to you when you called, I'm sure your vehicle was passed the point of saving and they probably told you that. It sounds like you are a "know it all" and probably tried to tell them what was wrong and how much it should cost to fix it and pretty much tried to tell them how to do their jobs... they then probably still helped you and patched it enough to get out of their shop because you sound like you were way more trouble then you could have paid them to be worth, and because they are so honest they wouldn't be able to over charge even if you were disrespectful. They also may have told you that your diagnosis was wrong but you insisted they fix whatever it was you insisted was the problem and wouldn't listen to them; so they did as you asked and because you were wrong and rude, but once you were gone they probably decided you were so rude they wouldn't do anymore work for you either way so hang-up so you'd get they message...Anyway, these guys are they best and most honest mechanics I've ever met. They do great work and are the hardest working and most helpful, caring, selfless, generous and respectful men.I recomend them to anyone and everyone whenever I can, and find I can never say enough to Express how much I appreciate these guys and what they do for their customers.

Took my car in for a repair and paid these worthless mechanics over $550.00 and the car dropped dead in less than 20 miles. When I called them to tell them what happened I was told that "you seem to know so much about car repair (which I do) why don't you fix it yourself" and they hung up. Help me to put these crooks out of business...worst mechanics I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I plan to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Run away!(you'll have to because your car won't run after they "fix" it. )

Love this place . Reasonable and always helping us out. There customer service is great and they are reliable . I trust them so much that I they are in charge of my work fleet trucks for Bugging Out Pest Control. I recommend them 100%
