I can t say enough about Jake and Angel at Jake s Car Care. They always accommodate my schedule and return my car promptly and in perfect shape. Their price is beyond fair and they do great quality work. Jake s for life!

I was having issues with my car. I took it to Jake's to check it out I really wasn't satisfied due to a communication issue Jake called me and said if I wasn't satisfied he'd issue me a reimbursement and thats exactly what he did and he really didn't have to. Good Peaple

I stopped in unannounced when I noticed I had a headlight out. Angel took great care of me, and I was on my way home with a new light in under 10 minutes. Highly recommended.

Jake has been caring for my cars since he first opened shop. He is not only an outstanding diagnostician but is scrupulously honest as well. He thinks through a problem and will consider the ramifications of a repair, as in X is in need of repair, but while we re there we should replace/repair Z , as there is little extra labor or cost in doing both simultaneously and Z will need replacement soon anyway. I recommend him without reservation.

I called at the last hour before Thanksgiving for an oil change. I told them I needed to drive to NC and they stayed late to get my car done! They even fixed my tailight at no extra cost! Great service!I will ALWAYS go to Jake's from now on!

I m so happy to have found Jake s Car Care. For over 20 years I had a trusted mechanic who was like part of the family but when I changed jobs, it was no longer convenient to get there. Then my neighbors on the West Orange 411 and 07052 Facebook groups recommended Jake. I ve found my new go-to gear head! Jake and his team are super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, downright honest and take the time to explain any issues at hand in a straightforward and patient way. Their work is quick, reliable, affordably priced and bonus: the shop is located .5 miles from my house. But based on my experiences with Jake and his team I would drive much further than that to have him care for my car!

This place deserves more than 5 stars. I called asking if I could bring my car in to get fixed and they said no problem, bring the car in that same day. Within 1 business day, I had my car back (oil change, wiper blade replacement, and transmission pan replacement), and the price was very reasonable. These mechanics are honest and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a car repair in the area.Services: Transmission, Oil change

I have been going to Jake's for a few years and have always been happy with his upfront honesty of what is wrong with my car and very fair with the cost of the repair. Jake goes above and beyond! He doesn't just do a repair, he will research the vehicles issue and give you his best assessment. Here's an example, my car hydroplaned in the rain Jake researched the issue and put a different brand of tires on my car. Thank you, Jake, no more hydroplaning. So I strongly recommend Jake's Car Care!

Good service. Good communicator and arrived on time. As a former detailer I can say he did good work with an interior detailing that included some challenging door jams that still had a layer of leftover road salt (from last winter in northern New York) and toddlers tracks in the back seat. Accepts cards & venmo. Will use his service again.Services: Auto detailing, Auto interior vacuuming

Alignment problems due to minor accident. Had a wheel alignment done at one shop but didn't correct the problem.. Returned to the shop and was told ,without even looking at the car, that I need a a new rack.....an expensive proposition of which I was dubious. Took the car to Jake's. First thing that Jake said was we will put it up on the lift and inspect it to see if anything is broken or bent. He, Zack and all the staff are pros who treated me with courtesy and respect. Found that alignment was off due to a bent control arm. Even recommended that I return to the first shop to have the repair done to save on a realignment that would be necessary. No dice! Had Jake perform the work at reasonable cost! I'm ecstatic to have found an honest, knowledgeable and courteous mechanic who cares about his customers and their vehicles. Thanks Jake!

Jake's is great, they spend time to actually troubleshoot and diagnose what's wrong with your car before they start replacing parts. I've had issues at other repair shops, where they replace items first, bill you, then you have to return to the shop several times before the issue is fixed, you won't have that issue at Jake's. They're honest, and they have fair prices.

My Passat was having a few issues. I had originally brought it to another shop because I was in a jam and had them look at it. They quoted me for things I didnt need right away, and also told me a price that was 3x the amount that Jake did.I brought it to Jake's and asked them to look over the car. They told me what was needed right away, what could wait, and what wasnt needed. Unlike other places, they are honest and really affordable. They also explained to me why everything was needed and what to do in the future to look for to possibly avoid it happening again. The car was done in 1 day and has been running great since. Angel handled all of my concerns and was very informative.I highly recommend Jake's to all my family and friends now.

Came in to get my exhaust swapped for something with a little more spice. Reached out to Jake last night and had me in there 9 AM today! Great location! Great service! Will be going back for my routine maintenance! Highly recommend!

Jakes car care went above and beyond to make sure my car was running properly. I was having a persistent issue that no one could seem to figure out. Jake and his staff got it figured out and fixed. They are incredibly knowledgeable and I am now a lifelong customer.

Jakes car care was great with taking care of my truck. I drive a 2017 Ram 1500 and I wanted to do a leveling kit with my truck. Jake walked me through the installation process and the benefits of having a leveled truck. Jake and his staff create a very friendly environment where i did not feel like I was just any customer but a customer thats been going to him for years.

Love those guys... knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and conservative! Came with a few issues, engine light, noisy air circulation, broken exhaust pipe on Vibe 2004. I was previously given an estimate to fix air circulation by a dealer mentioning that they had to remove the whole dashboard = hours of costly labor (>$600). Jake's car care fixed it for under $100, 30min job -> only the glove compartment needed to be removed to change the temperature valve actuator.This same dealer diagnosed engine light issue to a faulty oxygen sensor. Jake's spent the time to diagnose this to an issue with the manifold gasket (you kind of wonder if the dealer knew what they were doing). Rather than putting a new exhaust ($800 part), they were able to repair it at a more reasonable price. In short, it looks like they know what they are doing and they will work hard trying to save you money when they can.

Most honest car shop I have encountered in the 17 years Ive been in the USA. Excellent services, reasonable prices for work done, and fast repairs. Thanks to the whole crew for keeping my old gal (2003 Mustang GT) running fast and furious!

In the middle of March 2019, I blew a belt on rt 280 about 2 miles from their shop. They were cool in letting my car get towed tobthebsgop for a $100. But the belt and pulley job ran up to $353 bringing my bill to $454. I called Angel several times to keep contact on wen I would pay n pick up my car to avoid storage fees. It was their about 2 weeks. None were added. But the day I picked my car up, it was running and he had no idea I was coming that day, so I'm thinking, is he using my car as a run-around vehicle since I live 2 hours away in Pa???? I asked him that very question. He said he was "Moving it". I don't believe him. Each called he basically had no time for questions. And the technician scratched down some notes of wat else they saw. Later I realized a video/scanner reader I left in the vehicle was gone/post probably stolen from me. I ouldn't recommend Jakes. No thank you. No way.

My husband car 2006 Mitsubishi Galante would shut off when I put my foot in the gas to pull off. It had an annoying noise in the bottom. I took it in to get it fix and now it runs like a baby brand new. Jake's Mechanics goes above and beyond to get the job done. I highly recommend them. I used to go to Honda service and now that I was referred to Jake's Mechanics I would not switch to another mechanic.

Excellent local garage and mechanic. Highly recommended for any out of warranty repair, and general maintenance. I have had front end repairs, breaks, oil changes, and miscellaneous fixes done. Honest, fair appraisal, 5 stars, a gem in the community.

Jake is a car enthusiast which is a critical element of knowing that someone will take care of your car. Friendly, professional, fair pricing. He services the fleet for my entire extended family. (1989 BMW 325i, 2001 Toyota Tacoma, 2001 BMW 330i, 2004 Subaru Forester)
