All I can say is this repair shop is the best experience . Called the day before needed a emergency job the told me to bring it in following morning . Wow dropped it off in morning was done by 1230 that day. Roger the owner was amazing he went over everything with me before the repair. I was so happy with the price other places I've been to just ripped me off. Brian and rodger thank you so much .foggys is the go to mechanic all the way.

I wish I could have left a more positive review working with Roger on my car issues, but unfortunately the way he carried himself as a professional, I cannot. I usually like working with referrals and I was referred by my fiance's uncle who has worked with Roger for 30 years. From what I have heard, Roger is affordable when it comes to services, but I never had the opportunity to check this because does service on vehicles without a verbal authorization. Friday morning he called me and stated that there was an issue with work on my vehicle & presented me with a few options. He deliberately said "You tell me what you want me to do, give me a call later" to which I agreed. I gave him a call that very same afternoon after speaking with my father & I wanted to take my vehicle to another shop to take a look. When I called Roger, he raved about how much time he spent on my vehicle and how tedious the task was, but the job had been done & he quoted me the cost and then said "I'm never doing this again, this is a Christmas gift". I never authorized him to move forward with servicing my vehicle especially since he said he would wait for my call for me to tell him what to do. Saturday morning I arrive at the shop & all he does is complain about how much time he spent on my vehicle which was annoying to listen to considering, well, that's his job. I ask him 'I'm just trying to understand why you moved forward with servicing my vehicle when the understanding was you would wait for my call later on in the day". He abruptly responds with "Oh I don't remember the conversation, and you didn't tell me what to do and I didnt know what to do so I did the job". To which I politely challenged "If you didn't know what to do, why did you do service on my vehicle?" He then interrupts what I am saying, dismisses me & speaks directly to my Fianc� trying to make up for his mistake. My fiance is not paying the bill nor is he the owner of the vehicle & he was not in communication with Roger. To which I told Roger "I am speaking to you directly and the person you need to be speaking with is me, not him".Disappointed, I told Roger that I will no longer be bringing my business there. His childish, arrogant remark was "I have a thousand customers you're not hurting me" and I said "I am pleased you have a thousand customers. To your point yesterday of giving me a Christmas gift of completing unauthorized services on my vehicle, here I am paying you in cash on services you rendered on my vehicle without my authorization. You unlawfully moved forward with services on my vehicle" He then complained "Well if I do written agreements that's a lot of work for me " to which I responded "Written agreements should have been a standard business practice. The fact that you can't take accountability for this mistake is telling of your business practice"I wish I could have had a positive experience with Roger but I did not. I am pleased other members in the community have. Unfortunayely for me, Roger demonstrated his behavior as arrogant, condescing, lacking accountability & lacking basic business ethics.Roger should consider himself fortunate that all I have chosen to do is leave a review on the shop instead of calling the police to allow me to take my vehicle off the lot without paying a bill of unauthorized services. In addition to this, I could have also escalated this to NJ consumer affairs for unlawfully rendering services on my vehicle without my verbal or written authorization.Roger, I hope you take this interaction as a learning opportunity to enhance your basic business practices. If you can not recall your verbal communication with your consumers, that is a YOU problem. In order to protect the business and to continue providing service to the community, you need to have written agreements if you can't hold yourself accountable to recalling verbal agreements.If anyone chooses to work with Roger after reading my review I stringly recommend requesting written authorization of work being done. I hope your experience with him is a positive one.

My experience with Foggy s Auto Repair has been nothing short of amazing!!! I own a Fiat 500 Pop and had found it extremely difficult to find a mechanic to properly diagnose and resolve my vehicle s issues. I first took my vehicle to two other mechanics near my home and after roughly $1,000 they had failed to repair my vehicle. I then drove over 1 � hours to a Fiat dealer to attempt a repair, after spending an additional $1,500 I drove my car home, two days later the same issues started happening and my vehicle broke down on the highway. A friend of mine told me about Foggy s Auto Repair. I called Foggy s Auto Repair and spoke with Roger Fog, he was professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. I then got my vehicle jump-started and dropped it off at Foggy s Auto Repair. Then the magic happened!!! Within two days my car was completely and properly diagnosed & repaired!!! And for a reasonable price!!! I have not had any issues since!!! To me, the name Foggy s Auto Repair is synonymous with professionalism, knowledgeability, timeliness, affordability and dependability - skill and service you can trust!!! Roger Fog and his staff really care about their customers and it shows I highly recommend Foggy s Auto Repair, for all your automotive needs.

Foggy's is the most reliable auto service business I have dealt with in 52 years of driving. While I sometimes leave my car for several hours, it's worth leaving my car since their work is exceptional at a good price. I never felt they did unnecessary work just to pad a bill. Highly recommend.

I purchased a car from Roger over 5 years ago for my daughter. It was a first for me to have such a great experience getting a used car. The car has since been passed to three other family members. We have also had our cars repaired and have always gotten excellent service !!! Would highly recommend Foggy's for all your car needs

this place is always pretty good the prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. I was told my new rim was coming Saturday and I called every day after that since it was late and supposedly it came in Tuesday and that's when they replaced it. not necessarily their fault so I can't assign blame but a follow up call explaining that it was gonna be late and a new date would be appreciated.

We took a car that we were looking to purchase to Foggys for a third party pre-purchase inspection. Roger fit us into his bist schedule for a quick look over the car. He explained everything that we should be looking for when buying a car as he went through the inspection. He was thorough and honest and we appreciated it! Will definitely be back in the future for any work we may need done!

Roger is the man! He could probably be the mayor of our town if he wanted it. He is the most trusted man in Wayne NJ. My family has bought 4 vehicles over the years from him and sold him 2. All our cars are serviced there. Prices are better than fair. I cannot say enough about this repair shop and their employees. If you are looking for a mechanic to service your vehicle then look no further . Foggy"s is the best!

I have been relying on Foggys for many years now. They always do a great job at a great price and I never feel like I am getting ripped-off. They let me know all my options for any repair or service and don't inflate the amount of work or price with anything unnecessary. They are highly reliable and everything is done right the first time. The staff is very friendly and willing to discuss the service work. I cant say enough good things about Foggys.

Second time my car is towed to Foggy's. Great service first instance; second time they found no problem told me I could take my car. Did not charge me storage. Recommend them for good work and honesty.

This comes up on my younger son s name. Don t know why but we had my older son s car towed from William Paterson University when he had trouble starting it. It was the closet garage that I knew of near the university. So glad we brought it there. They fixed his car promptly and at a resonable price. It s running great. They have a new customer family.

John the owner of Foggy s Automotive is the ultimate cliche when it comes to your biggest fear of a Machanic totally ripping you off and even causing your car more damage. I m a single mother and needed just needed 4 new spark plugs replaced. Dropping it off I told him this. Two days later I received a call letting me know my car was ready. When I received a $551 dollar bill I almost was brought to tears asking WHY? I was told he replaced my valve cover gasket, replaced 2 new coils with 2 used coils, ( used to save me money ) crankshaft position sensor, and of course my 4 new sparkplugs. I got NO PHONE CALL asking or to even give permission to see if I even wanted these things done to my car, and of course $300 dollars in labor!!! I was speechless. After paying and taking my car home and doing some research I was shocked to realize I was charged over three times the price he supposedly payed for the parts and what took a total of approximatelyless than an hour worth of labor, I was charged triple the amount of labor. Like I said I walked in there a woman all by myself not knowing much and vulnerable. HE ABSOLUTELY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME AND RIPPED ME THE HELL OFF. FOGGY S (John owner) IS EXACTLY THE TYPE OF MACHANIC THAT GIVES THESE MOM AND POP TYPE OF MACHANIC SHOPS A BAD NAME!!!!! You may here some good reviews here and there it s because people are friendly with him and known him for years. HOWEVER me a totally new and someone he doesn t know type of customer WATCH OUT BECAUSE HE WILL ROB YOU BLIND!! And if you do make the mistake and let him touch your car GET RECEIPTS SO YOU SAVE YOURSELF FROM GETTING ROBBED FURTHER. Also if you pay cash he ll give you a discount.... WOW THANKS! That just shows how he s ripping off the government as well so he only has to claim credit card payments he receives and not the cash. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE YOUR CAR WILL HAVE NEW PROBLEMS WHEN YOU LEAVE NOT TO MENTION YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH A DISHONEST THIEF THAT IS GOING TO RIP YOU OFF! I purchased a car "as is" from them, a car that belonged to the owner's doctor, and was promised: "there's nothing wrong with it. It's been maintained since it's been here, and I drive it all the time," by the daughter. I needed a car that week, so I took their word for it because I like to trust family owned businesses. Big mistake. The next day, the "check engine" light came on. I brought it back and Rodger told me it was because it hadn't been reset after the work on the new transmission had been done. Ok. Two weeks later, the smell of gasoline while driving the car was so strong, I'd get headaches from driving the four miles to work. I brought it back. They charged me 200 for diagnostics and lifting the car. THEN I had to pay for a new fuel pump (450$) and for them to lift the car again (200$) and the labor (~200-250). Not even a week and a half later, the car turns off on me in the middle of the highway--multiple times. I sent it back and after about a week of it being in their possession, I was told they didn't find anything and couldn't fix something they couldn't find. I picked the car up and that same day, it shut off on the highway 3 times. I decided to just sell it and be done with it. Since I only had a week left in Jersey before heading to school, I kept it a little longer, worried it would break any second. Two days ago it didn't even make it on regular neighborhood streets. I had to get the car towed to them again. Knowing that it was a time sensitive issue, they didn't look at it until today, the day that I'm leaving for school. Guess what? It's a wiring issue that requires a professional to come in and diagnose (a 200 flat rate) and then they would be able to help. They don't care, they over charge, and I find it really incredible that this issue only arised AFTER they fixed the fuel pump. They only want to steal your money. Unfortunate, but true.
