CarMax in Wayne is great! If you upload all of the documents before arriving, the process is seamless. I was impressed with the organization of the store and their speedy system for processing our purchase and trade. We traded our old car and purchased a new one. The entire process took about 2 hours. It would have been faster, but some documents needed to be rescanned. Overall, I would certainly buy a vehicle here before setting foot in a traditional dealership ever again. They are fully transparent about the prices and fees on the website. It was less stressful and far less time consuming than our last vehicle purchase.

Great experience in selling my car! From check in to completion a 5 star day! Jim was the main sales consultant I worked with, and he was communicative, upfront, and very easy to work with. Harry was also fantastic, as he recovered a few important documents that i left behind. Very honest guy!

Car Max simplified the entire car selling experience. It was effortless and seamless and most importantly they offered the best price I could ask for. No haggling. No back and forth. They took care of the entire paper work and paid off my auto loan. No effort from my side other than showing up and relaxing.

Very welcoming staff. Our initial walk in, the gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and kind. While waiting for sales team, we we early, another staff member came over and explained the process and was very kind as well. The last person we dealt with was our sales staff, and everything went smoothly.

Do not recommend buying from CarMax! I paid $149 transfer fee to have the car shipped to the Wayne location. Was given a date when the car would be ready for a test drive. The date came and went with no follow up from Wayne. I called customer service to find out the car was ready the entire time, and no one reached out to me. The indifference and aloofness of the manager at the Wayne location made it clear to me that they do not value their customers. Stay clear of CarMax!!

Process was quick and easy. Came in after an online appraisal and carmax kept their word about my offer, which was higher than other dealerships and private sellers were able to recommend. The agent that I dealt with was also very friendly, and I would be happy to do business with him again if I am ever in the market to buy a car.

Sold my Honda Accord and got the exact amount as the online offer. Made an appointment and I was out in 1 hour with a check. My customer rep Bonnie was super nice and helpful. She made the transaction very fast, easy and enjoyable.

David, Evan and Vanessa were the most helpful and knowledgeable car sales associates I have ever dealt with. They were patient with me, answering all the questions I had and taking the time to explain all the benefits CarMax has to offer. In a highly competitive market, David, Evan and Vanessa should be highly commended for being best in class. They are the reason I gave my business to CarMax and will recommend the platform to others going forward. It s rare to find folks who go the extra mile, but these three do for me. Before I arrived in store, I filled out the online form and got an online estimate for my car. This made everything run smoothly from the moment I arrived. Customer service desk helped me quickly and within 10 minutes I was seated at a desk with a representative. Ben was polite and was upfront the entire time. He informed me the process to sell my car and was out at a reasonable time.

An appointment was easy to set up, a person who helped me to complete the paperwork was assigned immediately after my arrival, the offer was higher than other companies gave, and I took less than 30 mins to sell my old car that is totally great!

Filled out the online forms. Got an estimate. Made an appointment. Go to place. Get true appraisal. Matches estimate. Do the fancy computer work. Done. Our person, Leah, was amazing. She knows everything about everything and then the manager stopped by after to confirm.This is how we will shop for cars from now on.The best part was: This place is just like the commercials. - Me What commercials? - LeahSorry Sue, Steph and Candace.

I spent a total of 2 hrs at the facility. Anthony handled our paperwork. He was very professional and explained everything very clearly. After signing bunch of documents (mostly regarding title transfer) we left with our check in hand! And Carmax offer was the highest among others. I am pleased with the whole experience.

If I could give a lower review, I would . I flew in from Florida to purchase a vehicle and ANTHONY RODRIGUEZ had an issue with me immediately . I submitted all required documents after being approved and before arriving. He refused to sell me the car I flew in to purchase. Waste of time! I had asked him what else he needed from me to make this happen. He told me to hold on and continued a training. This was AFTER I sold CarMax a $65,0000 car, which I m sure they could ve sold for more. Complete waste of time and disappointment . I thought CarMax was a reputable company and the same nationwide, apparently it goes by the pride, complex, and emotions of a manager .Go anywhere but here!! STAY AWAY!!!

Great team to work with, I had no issues selling my car. Their pricing was better than any other competitors, appraisal was done very quickly, within half hour job is done. I love it and highly recommend to my friends too about CarMax.

Maybe don t set your expectations too high. I brought a car into CARMAX Wayne NJ to sell this past February. What drew me in was the online estimate range given through Edmunds, who apparently partners with CARMAX. I was given an estimated offer range of about $6,000 between the low and high purchase values the day before I brought the car in. My car was in excellent condition, so I expected that the actual offer would be close to the high end of the estimate, but the non-negotiable offer was much closer to the lower end. No logical reason given why. But, nobody pressures you to accept an offer there is no negotiating the offer is the offer and the price is the price, and I sold them the car because all things considered, the offer was decent. The people at CARMAX were nice, friendly, and professional. The process was smooth and efficient with no pressure you even have the option of considering the purchase price offer for seven days. No maintenance/repair records were required nor requested. There was no appraiser on site in Wayne NJ. Multiple pictures of the car were sent to an appraiser who then provided the offer.

I wish I could have offer a negative star rating. I drove there with all the papers for my appointment, but I was told that I would have to wait 1.5 hours longer due to other walk-in. They obviously don't value their clients' time. Booking an appointment is a joke.Waist of time - get my advice - go somewhere else - or ready to wait for hours.

Selling my car to Carmax was a completely stress-free experience. They made me an offer that I felt was acceptable, the highest dollar amount according to Kelly Blue Book; they took care of all the necessary paperwork and gave me my check in less than two hours. So much easier than trying to sell it myself.

I was generally happy with the price my vehicle received and customer service I received to see that transfer through. The downside is that I left some expensive sunglasses within the sunglasses compartment in my truck, and the folks at this CarMax location stole them. While I appreciate that it is on me that I left them before turning over the vehicle, their staff had a clear chain of custody in which they could have contacted me upon finding them. Instead, they pocketed them. I called two days later: they never showed. Shameful.

Received an offer online and made an appointment to sell my car. Dak was the the salesperson that helped me out. The location was busy for a Tuesday but I was still in and out in a reasonable time. Dak was professional, courteous, and proficient. Sold my car for the offer I received online. A good experience overall.

I was trying to purchase a suv. I called to see what the process is. As i was going through the steps. The customer service rep thought she put me on hold but didn't. I heard her making fun me and calling me names. When I confronted her she hung up on me. I called back to speak to a manager. He said, he is going to get back to me. While waiting for someone to get back to me I found a different suv. I had said i would like the shipping fee wavied. I got told no but they would put $500 towards it. If anyone heard what that rep was saying about me. They would understand how $500 is unacceptable. My next action is BBB. Then taking the recording to 7 on your side. I hope that people think twice before using CARMAX.

Went to CarMax Wayne for an appointment after confirming with Carmax customer service it was worth the time. Get there for a 4:30 appointment and they make me wait for 45 minutes and they finally take me and lowball me $2,000 from original estimate from a few weeks ago. In my opinion CarMax bait and switches the client and waste people s time. They wasted 2 hours of my time to lowball me. The manager Miquel tried to use excuses and I explained to Miquel that CarMax offered me 3 different prices for my car in 3 weeks. $33,000, $30,000 and $31,000.
