Great customer service, high quality and very fair price. Petty's team was excellent: professional and quick. The Petty's team quickly diagnosed our check engine light and also found a mistake that a local chain oil change shop caused.

Rip off artists taking advantage of people, push work that doesn't need to be done, with scummy attitudes the whole way. This place needs a wake up call, stay the heck away from these losers.

Update: Since my initial review, I've noticed that the management have become quite rude (the mechanics are still pleasant and helpful!). Maybe I did something wrong? Anyway, I brought my car here to fix an issue with the door and when I picked my car up they said they replaced everything and it should be fine now. Next time I used that door, the same thing happened. Brought my car back, and after several days of not hearing anything I was told that they needed to replace everything and that I would have to pay more money for that. I questioned it, because didn't they replace everything last time? I was told they didn't replace anything, they just fixed what was already there. Then I was told that they couldn't find the parts they were looking for so I should just come get my car. Maybe I did something wrong, but it seems like I'm being taken advantage of now. I've learned more about car maintenance since my first review, and there have been a few times that they told me I needed an oil change, even though I just had it changed elsewhere. My husband also brought his car for an issue recently and after paying almost $800 the issue started back up again within a month. We will definitely be looking for somewhere else to take our vehicles to. We've dumped a lot of money into our cars this past year or so and have been left with two "fixed" vehicles that are barely functional/safe. They really used to be a great shop. Maybe I'm wrong about them, but I don't want to stick around to find out.Old review: THE FRIENDLIEST STAFF EVER!!! I know nothing about cars and they are always so great at explaining things to me. Every time I call, there is a friendly voice on the other line!!! Five stars!!!

They deny service based on skin color. They will take your car in for minor fixes and if they break something they get the customer to pay for the things that their employees broke. Crooks. None or the cars in front are ever moved don t buy.

Honest service and very upfront with any issue the car may have. For the multiple times I took my 2 cars here never tried to sell extra services or repairs. Estimates are usually very accurate. Keith the shop manager is easy to work with and straight forward about any repairs the cars may need and pricing.

I took my vehicle to this shop and had a fuel pump replaced and it was $200.00 more than the dealership wanted. The only reason I had it done here was that they were able to take it right away as opposed to a week later at the dealership. I was trying to establish a business relationship with this shop which is very difficult due to the fact that the manager thinks he is doing you a favor by working on your vehicle. Unfortunately I returned 6 weeks later for a oil change and tire rotation again because you don't need an appointment. Now I know why. I got my vehicle back and did not notice until the next day, while driving at high speeds 65-70 that it had a shimmy in the front end. My vehicle ran great before I used this shop. Had to take it to another shop for repairs. I can honestly say that this shop is over priced and to be quite honest, I just don't trust them. I would recommend that you stay clear of this shop.

Have had them do oil changes and front end work in the past. Recently I had a pothole in NYC destroy the front end of my Sienna. My usual mechanic had retired. Others were backed up and unable to take the car for a number of days, but Dale and Keith offered to try to work it in, even though I had no appointment. It took them a few days to get the parts together, but they did the work well and sooner than I would have gotten it done elsewhere.

I have been going to Petty's for years now, I have the greatest trust for them. I don't feel like they are trying to pull a fast one on me. Dale and Keith are two stand up guys and will always take my vehicles to them for repairs and maintainence

I would give a 0 if possible. do not go if you are a woman. If a man comes in after you, you will be treated as though you are not the one paying and they will act as though it is the mans car and the man is paying. Luckily I only spent 100 before I lost anymore

A 10minute oil change took more than 1 hour. The price was only $49.99 for oil change, but.... This is the 2nd time I went there for this service, as I was willing to give them another try. However, a day later, my oil light went on and I needed to add more. 2nd time it occurred. I'm not going there again.

It's a big shop in a great location and they specialize in tires right? Must be well priced too. No.I went in to have 4 tires mounted and balanced, brought the new tires myself, and helped unload them and bring them to the tire machine. I also brought the wheels in too, so the techs wouldn't have to pull the car in, lift it and retorque the wheels, while filling a bay.I called ahead, but on arrival they told me they were closed. They took a lot longer than expected because the owner was walking customers around touching each tire and trying to up sell them. The other guys at the desk were refusing to do the work until the owner could verify things. I talked to the tech briefly and he didn't seem to know much about cars, or what he was doing. Figured it was a communication issue, but based on the reviews, clearly the oil change boy destroys motors all week.To my shock, I was charged over 125 dollars. You can charge what you want but at least warn people you are going to price gouge them.Figure 6 bucks for tire disposal, and 8 dollars for weights (when you can get a few pounds of them for the same price), tax, and 1.2 hours labor which is ridiculous @ 80/hr (non dealership rate) and a little high for a low quality indy shop. My math comes to 117.7 after tax, so where is the 125 coming from? Most places charge 100 for 4 tires, while Sears and Walmart charge much less. The owner is a cool guy with a 50's hot rod style but I'm never going there again. Can't imagine what he charges if you don't bring your own.

I never write bad reviews ever but this place deserves it. I've been pretty loyal to pettys for like a year now getting my oil change twice a month at least. Closes at 3 on a Saturday and they have a 15 min oil change which is great. I show up at 245 and the guy with no personality at the front says sorry no can do we are closed haha. So now I have no loyalty to Pettys and will find a new spot. Honestly... business owners of any kind especially small business owners in the auto repair... take every dollar you can and every piece of business and treat them all the same! Now when I need my brakes done or a repair I won't be going to pettys and instead will go down the road to another small business like daves or Oxford and now they will have my money and loyalty. I know it's aggravating helping a client before you are going to close but the little things go a long way and build your business. Get someone at the front with a personality and make your clients your number one priority not yourself

Unless you want trouble, avoid Petty's Tire & Auto at all costs. We went to Petty's on Rt. 57 in Washington, NJ for a $24.99 oil change using a coupon we got in the Money Mailer. We went in with a perfectly sound car.We came out with a $468 damaged oil pan that leaked profusely.Damage was not there about a week prior when our mechanic thoroughly checked out our car prior to our buying it.No one else was under the car after that and before Petty's.According to our very experienced and trustworthy mechanic, Petty's 100% KNEW there was damage at the time, both when removing the drain plug and when jamming it back in.They said NOTHING to us.Owner and manager of Petty's both disclaimed responsibility BEFORE even investigating.Owner and manager both blamed previous person who changed oil change BEFORE even investigating. When questioned how they could come to such a conclusion without investigating it, they took a look and found the stripped threads in the pan. They refused to do ANYTHING to compensate us for the damage they caused.Manager of Petty's actually blamed our car for having "too many miles" on it!And so, we have learned that both the silver-haired owner, and the dark-haired manager/mechanic are extremely unethical in their business dealings; that they avoid taking responsibility for their mistakes; that they will not report an oil leak they caused (which almost seized our engine)... and they basically told us to "sue them" in order to make things right, as they sent us on our way.A suit is our likely course of action -- suing for direct damages, for attorney fees, and for car rental costs.I may file a longer review here with additional details as time allows.Until then, do not trust Petty's to even walk your dog. These guys are VERY BAD as mechanics, business people and human beings.

The customer service is horrible here .I came with two small tractor wheelsJust needed air. When I asked the guy up front he made a face like I was a bather and told me to go to the door. I waited ten minutes maybe more .As all the workers and manager kept looking at me. Not one person asked me what I needed or smiled anything.I left and went to Mavis down the street .What a world of differenceI'll be going to Mavis for whatever I need from now on

Very friendly and fast service. Prices were comprable to other places but the fact that I was able to get it done in less than an hour was everything.

Very fast and great price! This was the first oil change I had without an attempted upsell. I was very impressed and I will definitely be back!

Took my truck to petty's tire and auto for service. And when I picked up my truck it came back with several scratches on the side as well as some kind of white paint. Not to mention I found out some one stole my tire while I was there. Very unhappy and wouldn't recommend them
