They could be more friendly at this place. I don t want to generalized, however, one of the person that checks you in is so rude and talks to people like they are enemy. The security agent to the right side when you enter is more helpful than the lady sitting at the table or the ones checking you in. Other than that, not a long wait, which was nice and easy to get an appointment to come in.

Got there on time for my appointment and I was welcomed at the check-in desk by a friendly and knowledgeable person. She sent me to the intake counter, but one of the processors who was available called me over to help me immediately. I was in and out in 20 minutes with my new title, plates, and registration. What a pleasure compared to the old DMV!

AVOID Washington DMV at all costs! REALLY!!! Went in with my daughter with the simple task of applying for her permit, but even with taking off of work and pulling her out of school, we could not accomplish the simple task. The absolutely unwelcoming, rude, inconsiderate, and completely inefficient staff seemed to do everything they could to be unhelpful and flaunt their power and authority and seemed to enjoy the misery they were causing.Even though there was less than a handful of people in need of assistance and the place appeared to be fully staffed, the process was incredibly flawed. At one point, we were asked to sit down because of some undisclosed issue with their equipment. Then, our first visit came to an abrupt end when they finally called us back up to the counter and informed us that they couldn t complete the process of issuing the permit because their system was down . They then told us that we had to leave and come back another time, but assured us that we would be able to pick up right where we left off, which was the very last step.After dealing with that frustration and planning an additional visit, having to get coverage at work and pulling my daughter out of school for a second time, we returned about 1 week later.Even though we were told we d be able to continue from where we left off, we were forced to go through the entire process AGAIN only worse this time. Our second visit came to another shockingly abrupt end again at the last stage of the process, only needing the final verification code, which would have only taken another few minutes. That s when we were told by an incredibly rude employee, a very crude woman who was eating at her desk, that we would have to come back another time because they were closing I couldn t believe it and my daughter immediately started to cry.There was no warning, nor any compassion for my daughter, who was so excited about finally getting her permit, to complete the process they had already restarted for a second time.After the shock of being shut down at the last step once again, and seeing my daughter break out in tears, which is very uncommon for her, I simply declared, No no no, please don t do this to us again , when an absolutely overzealous and confrontational security guard walked over to us and started yelling at me and my daughter to get out. We left again, with nothing. I would eventually get her permit in Newton, NJ where it took all of 5 minutes to accomplish the task that remained a simple 5 digit verification code.This is a clear example of the inefficiency of entities that are not independently owned. No motivation, no pride, no respect. The bar is as low as you can go. DO NOT GO TO the Washington, NJ DMV. Spare yourself the tears!

I have to say that I am having Pleasant experience with NJ MVC overall in most locations I love this location because of its proximity to where I live.The waiting time is decent and stuff are so informative Parking is very convenient as you can see from the pictures there s a huge parking lot in front of the New Jersey motor vehicle commission I came on Saturday morning and it was perfect day to get things done Absolutely recommend this location and thank you everyone for your help

Seems like a younger guy. He was at the inspection drive-through line. I unfortunately only had my temporary registration and was told what I needed could not be completed. I understood that then I asked the guy a few questions, and he became aggressive, and basically told me to back out and leave. There were about 4 to 5 employees working and one car in front of me. I can t believe the way I was just treated. Probably every DMV is similar but the guy probably just needs a day off and needs to learn how to speak to people. Won t be returning.

Awful experience, every single time. I've witnessed exceptions to policy made randomly, based on one person's decionsing. Appointments are never operating on time. While all DMVs are poor experiences, this one has been the most troublesome in NJ.

Turned me away transferring a pa title saying I needed a lein release form. Finally got ahold of a lein release form and was turned away again because the dealer didn t put their phone number on it. Went to newton dmv right after and they said pa title doesn t require a lein release for and that they re sorry I had to deal with these idiots at Washington. 12/22/23 washington dmv you suck balls.

Went to DMV to renew my license. Got there a little late and the nice lady with the High Point sweatshirt said no problem. Was very nice made sure I had everything I needed. Just before my turn the computers went down and they offered a golden pass for another day..I stuck it out. They kept us informed of the situation and even though some rude people gave them attitudes they were still nice. Computers came up and I got taken care of immediately. Best DMV experience I've ever had.

HORRIBLE... 9/23/23@WASHINGTON DMW...Well, this morning an ignorant security guard that I didn't have any time for today. So, I remained quiet; because I knew I would be writing a review ASAP.So, you never know who walks in your facility. I'm a Department of Human Services employee. And this ignorant guard states "can't you read; do you have any common sense; don't you see the ropes" to me. Another staff told him "EASY." Of which I heard, and the other guard told the ignorant guard that someone moved the ropes. All because I was trying to leave to go to another facility. And I knew that I had to exit on the opposite end. Thank to the 2 staff that intervened on my behalf while I remained silent. Something needs to be done with that ignorant guard over there. Even ignorant customers chimed in. I DIDN'T have time for that nonsense early this morning...NOT AT ALL MARY DARLENE PERRYNot even a single star in my opinion; after experiencing that. Racial profiling anyone...

Terrible service. The DMV was not busy at all. But you're still required to make an appointment for a registration? The people that run the DMV are a waste of taxpayer dollars.

They do not seem to care about their customers and they are incapable of communicating what it is they need clearly. Also had the manager come over and she rudely stated the same nonsense I was told by the agent.

This is the best DMV I have ever been to. I have been living here since 2009, and it has been really difficult to find a reliable DMV. Most DMV s in NJ are just not a pleasant experience, but this DMV is worth the drive. All the staff are polite and extremely friendly. The security guards are absolute stellar gentleman willing to help. This place earned a 5 star review. This DMV should be a paradigm to others in the state of NJ. Absolutely shocked and just wanted to drop an honest review. I have been here several times and experienced the same level of greatness. Thank you

Ran smoother with no appointments. Why bother making us get an appointment if we just sit here and stack up anyway. Used to be able to sneak in at the middle of the day and be out in 10 min. Now its always an hour

This isn t a reflection of the staff at this location but they re system overall. I had a simple question that would have saved six people a few hours of their time if they had simply followed through with the callback system. I never got a callback and I also requested an email reply. That also didn t happen. It would be better if you didn t even offer those options if you can t competently run the system as designed. Ridiculous.

Either the place is under staffed or employees are not doing their best. There are two stops to get in line. Definitely the first one can be eliminated. The same person can check your paper, give you the form to fill and the number to get in line. My advice is to try online first. If it can t be done, make appointment to avoid further delay

Wow! In 26 years I have never had such a wonderful experience at the DMV until today! I went in to change my name because of my recent marriage and Steven was so personable and friendly! He greeted me with a smile, congratulated me on my marriage and proceeded to ask me questions about my wedding. Wow! On top of that the other employees I encountered were also very friendly and welcoming. Washington DMV truly has the best employees that I ve experienced in my life!

Very quick and friendly. Came out before opening to hand out forms and numbers. Quick to get through the line too. Arrived at 05:30 out at 08:30

While cumbersome and not well organized some employees are helpful and actually nice. The njdmv causes anxiety no matter how well you are prepared. I literally wrote an M not the proper way, and I had to re-fill out my form. All forms should be filled out online and submitted not manually done. We actually have computers now no pen and paper. There should be other places to go to get permits and license information done not just the DMV. Look how Pennsylvania does it you don t have to go just to the DMV to get paperwork done. The whole process is outdated and antiquated. I should be able to take my test online, and if I am a documented resident for years and years and have a valid drivers license and or a valid United States passport that information should be allowed to be entered online not in person only.

Required appointment times are just to control the headcount, and not actually upheld.... 935am appointment... waited until 1030am before my number was called...... it took less than 5 minutes to complete the task..... that is ridiculous in my opinion
