in 2014 my TOPAZ 32 ' OFFSHORE FEVER ' was ready to go to bahamas . valve dropped . engine replacement needed. i had to go to china for business. FORKED RIVER DIESEL AND GEN. was recommended to me and i had nothing but hopes. JOHN LANE sent me dozens of pictures while i was away. he changed both engines in a week .cant ask for better.in 2021 my OCEAN 50 SPORT ' OFFSHORE FEVER....generator died ....Big COVID TIME and no generator to be found .... JOHN found one in Tennessee. he put in airplane to nj . i brought my boat there . 5 days all in all good and running again with whole fishing season in front of me. cant ask for better.in 2023 i need starboard engine repair / overhaul.... well ....take a wild guess where am i gonna go and who is going to the job !!!FORKED RIVER DIESEL AND GENERATORJOHN LANE " DIESEL PROFESSOR 'regards,DR. John and Deb have been taking care of my boat for 4 years. They have done quality work season after season and have been fairly priced. They have come through with parts when no one else could and they have made offsite visits when we had a breakdown mid-season. They are nice people to work with and I trust their work.

Everybody knows the marine industry Has its share of imposters, thieves and scumbags. I ve met most of them across the last 40 years but that all changed and trust me I would never write this unless I was positive. I have met the Messiah of the Marine Industry. His name is John Lane and he is the owner and proprietor of this company. A family man and a fantastic business person that treats everybody with respect and integrity. Happy employees happy customers happy family equals a happy life. His work is impeccable he is absolutely in love with what he does and he was recommended to me by people in the fishing community as the one and only resource I should ever consider. I anticipate utilizing his services for many years to come. The same goes for his employees. When you walk through the shop you can just tell somethings different everybody has a good attitude and that alone is quite refreshing. These people have a deep deep tool box filled with advanced knowledge which is also very reassuring. On a scale of 1 to 5, I have to give these people a solid 10 and I stand by that firmly.

These are the only professionals I will let work on my engines. John and his team are upfront with the work needed. Debra in the office is wonderful to deal with. She is patient and always is willing to work with you. I can not be happier with there work and helpfulness.

Unfortunately I have nothing nice to say, let me explain why. On or about May 15 I called this Companyto find out about getting a generator repaired that is on my boat. I spoke to the owner of the Company,JOHN LANE who informed me that he was very busy due to the weather and that if I was willing to waita month then he would be able to help me. I waited the Month and never heard from JOHN LANE so Icalled and waited a few days. After not receiving a call back, I went over to the office (shop) in Waretown and spoke to JOHN in person. At this time he asked me if I could wait another 2 weeks as hewas still behind in his work. I had agreed. After 2 weeks went by, I waited another week to see if JOHNwould call me back. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM or anyone else from his company. I called the office and spoke to the secretary and told her that I was not happy. WHAT KIND OF PERSON TREATS ANOTHER PERSON LIKE THAT. JOHN CALLED ME BACK & ASKED ME TO WAIT A LITTLE LONGER. Does anyone in their right mind think this is right. How do you run a business and treat your customers like this. SHAME ON YOU JOHN LANE, SHAME ON YOU !!!!WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE..

Yes John can be slow in getting a Job done BUT he sent someone to fix our generator just prior to Sandy Storm and with out our Kohler Generator our family would have suffered especially since we were right on the water and our house was destroyed as well as all the other homes around us!
