Could not determine why my truck could not start - he would have figured it out if he checked the fuel pressure and everything related to the fuel pump - a $30 relay fixed the problem. Instead I get charged $200 then from the mis - diagnosis, another $200 from the dealership when it was suggested that it was a bad ignition key...

Smart, decent, people. Pricing very fair. Leave a tip, they deserve it. Emergency service just as well. I want to add, the review from K? That person clearly is inappropriate and must have a drug problem based on post.

Never take your car here. I knew the owner and mechanic personally and still got ripped off. Was charged over $500 for them to spray some things, and basically do a bunch of jimmy rigging for a total of almost $750. Less than a month later all the problems my car went in with are back, and then some. My brakes suddenly squeal. There is a knocking in my steering column. I noticed when I picked it up there was a spill on the tire that doesn t wipe or scrub off. After time in the sun more evidence that something was spilled on my tires then wiped clean showed up ( including a large spill and dripage, and then a bunch of circular scrub marks all along the tire) everywhere this spillage occurred is now brown. Front and back of driver side ( parked on the street, it sees the most sun)they are now blooming, google tire blooming , because whatever they spilt removed the wax coating on the tires and as of this morning my back right tire is leaking. The only thing that keeps me from going back there and demanding they fix whatever mess they made is I don t want them getting there hands on my car again. I will have to bring it someplace reputable and pay them to fix Barnegat bay auto s mess, and I will happily do so. As someone who has seen behind the curtain of the mechanic s world of autos, there are only two reasons my car would leave their shop with so many problem, more than it had going in: possibility 1 is they are just that incompetant and really bad at their jobs or, (2) they purposely made things worse thinking I would come running back with my car begging them to fix it, never thinking that they were the ones making the problems. Unfortunately this is a common trick of small shops, not chains or corporate. Chains and corporates usually do the job right the first time because they have so many customers coming in they don t need to resort to dirty tricks to keep you coming back. Many mechanics think of everyone who isn t a mechanic as being ignorant. And they are right, if you are not a mechanic you have to place all your trust in the person fixing your car and pray they aren t ripping you off. I m not saying every mechanic is corrupt, but pay attention. If you take your car somewhere and within a month something has gone wrong, could be the original problem recurring, or a new problem, keep your eyes open. Say you go back to the original place, and a month later now another thing that s gonna cost a grand to fix has gone wrong, you should probably find a new shop. Unfortunately, being ignorant of the many many workings of an automobile, means you aren t going to noticed that this was loosened a little, or something was messed with in just the right way to wear it down so it needs replacing in a month or 2.So I will never bring my car to Barnegat bay auto again. Because even though the owner has a great personality and mannerisms, his shop is either extremely inadequate to the task, or they are sneaky and will do whatever they have to to ensure you will be back. Mechanics don t think that you ll realize maybe it s not your car, but the shop you are being it to that the problem. I cannot prove the new problems my car has, in addition to the old ones returning, were done intentionally by this establishment to get me to return with my car so they could get it into there bay once more and my $ in there pocket. All I can do is share the awful experience I had, and try to warn others of this shop, and the fact that the clich of the sleazy mechanic isn t just a clich. I have worked in the field. Unfortunately shops really do things like this because they know you won t know any better. So pay attention, and stay vigilant. If you have to keep going back, try taking your car somewhere else, someplace big like AAA, just once, and see how long it is before you have to take your car in again, regular maintenance aside.Beside, the only other option, if they did not mess with my car intentionally, is they are just really really bad at their jobs. Either way, no way are they getting their hands on my car again.

I recently brought my truck there to get repaired. I dropped it off late afternoon on a Wednesday. The repairs were completed the next morning at 9:30am.

They fixed both of my parents cars this past month and even expedited my dads truck due to a road trip we had planned. We will be returning!

Over charged and didn't fix the all the problems. Just out to get as much money as possible from you for that time. I guess they do not care about returning customers.

These guys do a great job. Always treat customers fair. Nice to have a local shop instead of all the franchises.
