My family and I have been going to A&J's for years, and everyone who works there is really, really great. Alan and the crew are thorough, honest, fantastic mechanics, and extremely accommodating. Highly Recommended!

Al and his team are fantastic. They're honest, they do quality work quickly and have very fair prices. I have a 2011 Nissan that had a hand full of issues and needed tires. I can tell that the work was done with care and my car drives great now. Al gave me honest feedback about what I needed replaced for safety and efficiency and what might be expensive fixes that were up to me. I usually dread going to auto shops but it was refreshing to go somewhere that doesn't upsell everything and anything. It was a honestly a pleasant experience, especially because Al is a great guy.

Had my car s oil changed here. I m not knowledgeable on cars at all, but the staff seemed friendly and was able to accommodate my request for a same day appointment. Unfortunately, after I left the business I noticed that the original lug nuts to my tires that were kept in the glove compartment (I lease my car and the dealership put special ones on my tires so they re not easily stolen I think?) were missing. I presume the mechanic who worked on my car stole them to sell for easy money. Now when I return my car after the lease is up, I m sure I will have to reimburse the dealership for these. It s unfortunate because otherwise everything was good about the service and staff, but I can t return to or recommend a business that allows employees to steal from customers. Will not be returning.

I trust Al with my life. He s taken care of my beloved 1999 Toyota Corolla, my hot rod, for far longer than it should have lasted. Al and his team offer the best service in NJ. If you want you car taken care of the RIGHT way, you have to bring your car to A&J

Excellent, courteous, upfront explanations and prompt service. I chose A&J because I saw good reviews and I was extremely pleased dealing with Alan and A&J - they let me come early before they opened their office to pick up my car. Their was never an effort to overcharge or do anything but provide knowledgeable and courtesy service. I had a frustrating car situation with an old car that I had only just gotten repaired somewhere else, and A&J made it an easy experience. After dealing with a horror show at a previous shop, I'm glad I came to A&J auto repair. After I dropped my car off for inspection, Alan was thorough about what the issue was with my vehicle. They even managed to find an issue with a previous repair which was recently done and causing damage to my exhaust.It was all done for a fair price and within a good time frame. Alan even offered to stay 30 minutes after closing time if I was late to pick up my vehicle. I would definitely use their services againServices: Steering & suspension repair, Body & Trim

I have been going to Al for years now, they never let me down, they are a busy business but to me that says a lot, Al treats his customers so well, he is always friendly and smiling! The guys who work there are very efficient and whenever they come through the office area they are also friendly. One of the most important things I can say about Al is he is fair, he doesn t recommend a bunch of unnecessary things to be fixed and his prices are fair, he also has a glass guy who comes right there to repair windows. I seriously cannot day enough good things about A&J and highly recommend to everyone.

This place is awesome! The owner is so easy to work with as is his staff and most of all they are trustworthy. We always feel like we're getting a fair deal. We've used them several times now and the great customer service experience has been consistent every time.

This is my second time at A&J I can state that I was satisfied with the repairs and service that I received from them. My previous mechanic retired and I was looking for another one A&J was recommended to me by a family member, again as previously stated I was very satisfied with their service and will use them in the future for any car repairs.Remember it is very hard to find a good mechanic I would advise anyone looking for one to check with A&J for any automotive problems, I will use them for any future auto issues.

Job done on time, within quoted price, on the same day as promised.Straight forward, good work done.For what it's worth, it was a truck with A/T tires that needed mount, balance and alignment. Drives like new again.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

The place is honest.No other place not even the car dealer are honest, but this place is honest. Most of the time my opinion, honest is better than price. As long as the place stays honest the more I will come back regardless of the price.

Alan charged me $105 for a simple pcv leak fix. Claimed it took 1 hours worth of "Hi-Tech computer diagnostics". Ended up paying $1.8k for a new catalytic converter plus labor and few other things. Car could barely make it home without almost stalling after he claimed the car was at "80% power". I don't normally write reviews, but I'm a dog walker and it takes me a while to save $1.8k. to spend that kind of money only to have a car handed back to me in effectively the same condition it was in upon dropping it off was disappointing.

Had a busted rim and walked in. They located a good condition used rim at half the price and had it on with an alignment in 3 days. They even changed the battery in my keyfob for free without me asking!Service: Wheel alignmentService: Wheel alignment

This place is amazing I got a flat om rt 78 west in union nj was only place around that was auto and tire repair was greeted by alan was very polite and concerned told him it was emergency and did what ever it took to get me bk on road fast and very very reasonable price and thanks to shop mechanic Clifford I was rolling in 1 hr love this place and highly recommend a j see alan .

Over the years, I've brought Hondas, Hyundais, Toyotas, and Fords to A&J and the work is done to the highest levels of professionalism and quickly too. Al and Judy are friendly and nice to work with. I highly recommend their business A & J Automotive.
