Came in with a major wobbling coming from the front of my car. Googled nearest mechanic shop and it lead me to Nearest Pep Boys in Union. Walked in with No appointment and I was afraid I wouldn t make it back home safely with my wife and son in the car, which was another 45 minute drive. I walked in and was immediately greeting by Jose with a joke of being closed. My heart fell out of my (You know what) He smiled and said no I m joking, it made me smile and from there, I met Cory and Eon also, they made the environment and vibe feel so welcoming and comforting. I explained my situation of my cars issues Jose was at the computer getting my information, Cory grabbed my keys, and Eon immediately started to grab the parts that Jose recommended upon their knowledgeable experience in what I was explaining to him of what my issue was. Upon full diagnostic, by their Master tech, it happened to be exactly what was recommended by Jose & Cory! If you have ever seen team work at its finest come to this Pep Boys, these guys complete knowledge of vehicles and chemistry is remarkable to see in person, something I ve never witnessed before. The parts took a little time and my son was a bit agitated and started crying, Jose went an grabbed some munchkins from DD & coffee for the wait and Cory & Jose came over and made small talk with us, that genuinely made us feel as if we were in first class service. They both kept us updated consistently and without a doubt at that moment me and my wife made a promise to never choose any other car repair facility other then this PEP BOYS right here. Thank you for making this experience of thinking we would be stranded from a long day of work and my wife almost killing me for not getting the car checked out when she told me too. YOU GUYS ARE THE VERY VERY BEST! If you want honest and genuine car repair service done the right way RT 22 union Pep Boys is the place to go, no questions asked! THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN WE APPRECIATE YOU GUYS!

Fantastic Service at Pep Boys!I had an unexpected tire issue and needed a quick fix. Thankfully, Pep Boys came to my rescue! A special shoutout to Eon for his exceptional service. Despite not having an appointment, he managed to squeeze me in. In less than 30 minutes, my tire was repaired and I was back on the road. The efficiency and customer care I experienced were top-notch. I 100% would recommend their services to anyone in need of a quick and reliable repair!

I have been going to this location for a couple of years. I usually don t have issues and my small issues I usually do not mind and let it slide. However, I think I have drawn the line. In my recent 3 visits which were all within 2 weeks or so I have had the same issue and it still has not been fixed. I went in for a basic oil change. As always they say there is other stuff they want to work on and I listened and said okay sure you can fix so on and so forth. As soon as I left the location I received an orange light less than 2 min on my drive about a check stability light. Not only that, now my tire pressure can t be read on any of the tires. Mind you this was after I waited almost 8 hours for service. I called as soon as I saw it and you can see the issue on pictures below. I then went back in about 6 days later because I had to work. They said they would look at it and it should be quick. Once again after multiple hours I never received a call. Then I called and they said that they had to do over 2.5K worth of stuff. Now my question is I just brought it here less than a week ago. And in one week you want to tell me this stuff will cost me 2.5k for other random things. When I brought the vehicle in the first time it didn t have any of these problems. So then they said they would call me back. Once again, no call back. I then went to visit the place and they said they were working on it. As my Uber arrives. I see my car hiding in the back not being worked on. So clearly they didn t do anything besides just reset my sensor. Later that night I was able to pick up the vehicle. It worked till I got home. The next day. The same issue. Once again I called in and they said bring it in. As I went in a week later. They said it should be done quick. Once again, I received no call or and info on it. I had to call back and see what was going on with vehicle. And they said they reset it again and it s working. That day I asked for a manager and waited for about 5-7 minutes and nobody even came up to me or with any information. I wrote a survey expecting a call back from a district manager or somebody and still no response. I would love to just get this issue fixed correctly and not just have my tire psi reset. Youre easily happy to call me back with tons of issues every single week after my vehicle was just checked out but when it s time to fix your own mistakes nothing can be done? I m STILL having this same issue. I would love to be contacted by a District manager about this situation because I honestly do not trust one person working there.

Had a great experience! Mechanic was very knowledgeable and took time to thoroughly check my car and to explain the recommended repairs. My car operates so smooth and I feel very safe driving. Outstanding customer service. Thanks Pep Boys!!!

Fast and excellent service at this pep boys! Wife had her tires changed in November and now changed my father in laws this past weekend. Cory the manager was great and helped us choose something within our budget with an alignment.

My service experience with Pep Boys Union went smoothly; The Store Manager, Cory, was very welcoming and professional in his demeanor and patience with me, the other customers, in/outflow of phone calls, and his co-workers. Edwin, the technician, was thorough in what he found in his inspection and letting me know what needed to be taken care of in his. This is my experience and always remember these workers are people too and have to deal with people. Cory, Edwin if you guys see this keep doing your thing, and thank you.

Eon greeted me with a handshake and welcomed me to the shop. He took my issue and resolved it within 45 minutes..A far cry from what I experienced from the last manager I interacted with last time. Fair honest and quick.

The staff were all very professional and friendly, and took the time to explain everything my car needed - it needed a lot- and all of my questions were answered toy satisfaction. At no time did I feel pressured to buy anything beyond what was necessary. I will continue to use Pep Boys for my service needs.

Unfortunately, I had a TERRIBLE experience at this location. Pepboys advertises a $89.99 full synthetic oil change online. However, if you go inside, that is NOT what you will pay. They are also unwilling to price match what the corporate has online. Also in my experience at this location, I was exposed to the assistant manager using profanity and racial slurs on a personal phone call at the front desk. It was very offensive. I was able to speak with the service manager and I called Pep Boys Corporate number and apparently Pepboys is fine with their employees using profanity and racial slurs in front of customers while on the clock because it is their personal phone.This is disappointing because as a person of color, it s really offensive.With that said, if you are okay with experiencing extreme unprofessionalism with a sprinkle of the N word and other profanity here and there, while spending your hard earned money this is the spot for you.However, if you hold customer service you are provided to a higher expectation, I would seriously consider a different place of business that would treat you better. I will NEVER go back to a Pepboys at any location with the support of this.

Kind, attentive, and straight forward!I only went in for a slow leak in my tire, but they were upfront with wait time and apologized in advance for the wait.That's understandable for a no appointment show.I had something in my Tire and they plugged it up for me and did a tire rotation.

This pep boys location has renewed my faith in there being honest, straight forward and genuine people still in the automotive business. As a person who has been in the industry for 15 years I have seen the worst of the worst and the good ones are hard to come by. Cory the manager and Dave did exactly what they said and that s all I can ask for . They are where you want to go when you need answers that you can trust.

I am very satisfied with my recent tire purchase and installation. At Pep Boys Union. Abdul kept me note every step of the way, was patient even when i requested checking over everything on the front end and I feel like I got value for the money.

I took my car in last week because my windshield wipers stopped moving. I researched online and found it to be an easy fix, even for a beginner. I decided to bring my car in anyways as I was looking for a quick fix due to the nasty weather we've had recently. I was told that I needed to pay $60 for an "electronic inspection" to determine what the problem was. I sat in the lobby for nearly 2 hours for an employee to come and tell me that my windshield wipers don't work. I asked for specifics and was told that both the windshield wiper motor and linkage needed to be replace. I thought this was strange as I could clearly hear the motor running when activating the windshield wipers. The employee gave me a quote for nearly $1200 to have both parts replaced ($600 in parts, $500 in labor). It was at this point, I realized that they were trying to take advantage of me. I paid the inspection fee and left.When I got home, I popped the hood myself, found that the motor indeed still worked, and noticed that the linkage was busted. I found a compatible linkage online for a measly $80, installed it myself today in less than an hour, and my windshield wipers work again. If a complete novice could install this part in under an hour by watching a youtube video, I can't understand why I was quoted at $500 in just labor.I strongly believe that the employees in this location are looking to take advantage of people that don't know any better. They tried to replace my windshield wiper motor when it was still functional and tried to overcharge me for labor.Do your own research before coming here or be prepared to be preyed on.

Great shop full of great Men!Ones in yesterday with my 16 VW Jetta and they changed my back breaks! They did an excellent job! Even had to replace an additional component, but they got it s done with not problems. This was not my first visit to the shop but I was compelled to leave a review today.Repeat customer

This pepboys is the definition of great service. They are all attentive and professional. I have been coming here since 2020. And recently relocated, however , due to not so great experiences. I drive 45 mins to this place. Cory is my go to person here. Everyone else is great as well.

I've had many good experiences at pep boys. Have gone to several locations around NJ and the Philadelphia area. This location, I had a bad experience with, however the service manager has been working with me to make it right.In a perfect world there would be no issues to complain about. But when things go wrong, you learn more about a person or business' character. Acknowledging a mistake was made and making every effort to correct it is not something you see very often and I have a lot of respect for that.(Assuming my issue is fully resolved) I'd say this place is trustworthy and does value a satisfied customer more then a one-time tire sale. So I will be back, and everybody should support a local business with these traditional values.PFA.

Nice employees but grungy facility with waiting area furnished in 1980s Mongo decor. Was told that my seized up TPMS sensor would cost $125 to replace...how is that possible when nothing in the TPMS product category cost more than 10 bucks? And stop trying to sell alignment services...it's a waste of money but an easy way to take advantage of folks who don't know any better. Time to step up the game Pep Boys.

Don t get your oil changed here. The guy Cory is super slimy and tried to get me to get a synthetic oil change for about $120. Usually I get an oil change for less than $50 so I was surprised and asked why. He said my car was old and couldn t use conventional oil (not true and was a red flag). After talking about my experience with co-workers in the area they also had the same issues and were being charged $100+ dollars for an oil change and over 2 hours of service for a simple task. PLACE IS A SCAM

Eon, Amelia and Abdul were beyond helpful. They took the time to explain every service, pricing and even offered us to/from Lyft service because both mine and my husband s car were being serviced. Five star experience! They put the pep in Pep Boys!!!!

Pep boys of Union never lets me down. From customer service experience to the out come of the service performed on my jeep. Eon went out of his way to make sure all my needs were met before my jeep was looked at. Alex performed the service and even went the extra mile to explain everything to me in dept. I don t trust many people with working on my vehicles and my trust is here with Eon and his team. Thanks again!

So this is how we treat our customers? Threaten them by withholding their property when it was your business that was in the wrong? Managers like CORY shouldn t be in charge if they can t hold themselves accountable for their mistakes or even apologize even after finding out that they were in the wrong and treated someone with disrespect. What is this world coming to? trash. Don t put people like this in positions of authority when they can t regulate situations properly. That s who s representing your businesses. Do better.

Pep Boys saved the day. Went in after much tire drama at the dealer for my 2016 Pathfinder. Pep Boys fixed my problem for $51 on one tire valve, while I waited. Nissan City down the road tried to scam me for $500 for all 4 tire valves, then pivoted to $280 for 1 valve.Pep Boys persons were patient and thoughtful and made sure to diagnose the problem twice. Thank you Pep Boys!
