Steve Larken is the most honest, expert, fast and inexpensive mechanic in at least all of New Jersey. He has saved me thousands of dollars over many years. When I needed a timing belt one place said 8 hours and $600, Steve did it in 4 hours 25 minutes for $245. Another time I had brake trouble, one place said frozen calipers and $800. Steve said all it needed was a $50 flush and fill. One person can make all the difference. Thank you to Ruch tire for telling me about him, after athey sold me four tires Steve aligned them, I paid him in cash, told him to keep the change and he looked happier than a kid at Christmas

Steve is the most honest auto mechanic i ever come across and i have been using his service since 2019. I recommend this shop service. All I do is drop my car off in the early morning for oil change and maintenance and he call me by noon that my car is ready.There was a time where I had an issue with my car tire and the dealer wanted me to replace the tire (for $150) but when i spoke to Steve he told me the tire can be pluged and i only paid about $30.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning

I went there for inspection. It couldn't have taken more than ten minutes from start to finish, and everyone was super friendly. Highly recommended.Update: I have since had to get another car inspected, and had the same great experience. If it wasn't for their location I'd probably make them my mechanic. They are definitely my plan b. Still five stars and highly recommended.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND RUN!!!! My husband had his car repaired at their autoshop, because it didn't start. They charged him about 200 dollars for diag, part, etc. It was good for one day and then the same thing happened. They don't accept any responsibilities for their work.

Steve Larkin has always run an honest business. He recently repaired an actuator on my sons taurus and the job was done the same day and for a great price. Larkins has a great reputation. I moved to Lawrence and had been stupidly using Toyota and Mazda dealerships on my newer cars. I will always remember to come here instead. It's nice to be treated kindly and fairly. Thanks Steve. I've taken my car here every time I've needed a repair, which has been about 4 times over the past 5 or so years. Steve is very knowledgeable, takes the time to help me understand the issue that I'm having, and genuinely cares about my car working for me. Recently I had an issue and he not only fixed it same day and at a good price, but he also did some research and gave me some tips about my specific model of vehicle and how I can avoid problems. Highly recommended!

Horrible service would never recommend going to this shop. If your trying to get and inspection here he will just complain the whole time how he s tired of doing inspections and how it s a waste of his time. Even though you re there supporting a small shop and PAYING to get an inspection done. He is also very clumsy with your vehicle. When scanning it he slammed the extension cord into my fender multiple times trying to make it reach. Just a very unprofessional auto shop don t trust them.

I have been a Larkin's Services Center customer for about 15 years now. The mechanics are helpful, respectful, very knowledgeable of domestic and foreign vehicles, and most importantly affordable.If you're in need of an extraordinary mechanic, head to Larkin's Services Center in Ewing, NJ and ask for the owner Steve.

Steve is a real family mechanic. He's taken care of my vehicles so well, with such integrity and skill, and I owe him a lot. My family has been going here for years and have never been disappointed. He really looks out for you, and he does the best that he can to take care of you and your vehicle. Great guy, great mechanic, no complaints.

A friend referred me to this place and of course with all mechanics I was skeptical but Steve proved to be a great mechanic. Definitely a profession that has run in the family a long time. Very knowledgeable on every type of car I have brought to him. Almost knows exactly whats wrong with it before getting a real good look it. Is straight up and upfront on the cost estimate. Excellent job on the repairs. I never have any new problems after he's taken care of me. I refuse to take my car anywhere else. I know I'm in good hands

My car wouldn't start. A jump didn't help, and I didn't even hear a click, so I assumed it was the starter.When the tow truck picked it up, it started working! I brought my car to Larkin's to check it out. They immediately started checking on it as soon as it arrived. Unfortunately, it just kept starting!They asked if they could hold onto it through the day to see if it would stop working, so that they would be able to diagnose the problem.They checked out everything that could be the issue, but they couldn't find anything.Throughout the process, they kept me informed, were honest about my options, and didn't charge me because they couldn't find anything to fix.Next time my car decides not to start, I'm going to get it towed directly to Larkin's because I trust them to handle it professionally, quickly, and honestly.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Getting in my car, going to work - late as usual. Car would not start - no click of ignition, complete silence. Would not even jump start. Radio, lights, horn worked. I called Larkin's and had the pleasure of talking to Steve. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Steve said "Sounds like your starter. Bring it in." Had it towed around noon. Car ready at 3pm. New starter at a very reasonable price. This is the place to go for fast, efficient and - most important - honest car repairs. I highly recommend. By the way, he does car inspections. No need to go to the DMV.

Highly recommend Larkins! They are always so quick getting you in day of for car repairs and the most honest car repair shop I have ever been to! They don t try to repair things you don t actually need done and they also have fair prices. My go to car shop from now on!

The best service! Always trustworthy and definitely reasonably priced. They've honestly saved me hundreds of dollars when I've gone to them after other places have said I "need" certain services. Definitely would recommend them!

Steve knows everything. My entire family goes there now. We all have expensive vehicles and we like when people take care of them with knowledge. Steves shop might not look the best from the outside, but trust me, the value this shop has is great. Also not that expensive compared to other place that don't even know what they are doing. Highly recommend this shop to anyone.

They managed to fit me in when they originally weren t going to be able to get to my car until next week. But he got the car in and done the same day. Also installed a custom part that they had to look up how to install it and got it done. Just a refreshing experience with a auto shop.

I have rarely met such knowledgeable and fair people in business. This may be the best mechanic in Ewing and the whole county. I got a difficult problem fixed in 2 hours that other business turned away. While waiting I saw the owner help others that he very well could have charged for unnecessarily. I was awed. Larkins restored faith in people.

Larkins is great for tune ups and basic auto repair. I cannot speak for any work that is very involved, but the staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable. The old man is wonderful to speak to, and the waiting area is comfortable.

I love this place. I have been there three times and they always did the job quickly and well. Their prices were very good too. Now I do not have to go to the dealers only to be kept in their waiting rooms for a long time for paying much higher price.

Called for same day inspection and they took me right away with no problems. Everyone I spoke to was professional and friendly. Definitely coming back here when I need service on my car.

I like this place. Everyone talks to you like a human being and doesn't talk down to you if you're not the most mechanically inclined driver to bring your car in. Honest pricing and good work. I've already sent two people and i'm sure i'll send more.

Very satisfied with their work and prices. You get a discount if you pay with cash. Steve Larkin is the best! They installed a new radiator.
