I been coming to Tranz Connection over 2 1/2 years. Bobby has been honest and fair about all repairs regarding three company vehicles and my personal car. I would recommend tranz connection to anybody that wants a good and honest mechanic.

I called and spoke to the owner of this place and explained my situation thoroughly to him. I told him the torque converter and my truck was definitely bad and needed to be replaced. he insisted on telling me that the entire transmission Needed to be replaced and almost talked me into it. I'm I ended up replacing the torque converter myself and it's been 10 weeks and my truck runs perfectly fine.

I'm a local carpet cleaner in the ocean county area, and I have been since 1974. I have a E-350 Ford van that has a butler system located inside the vehicle. This vehicle in question only had 60000 miles on it when it developed a transmission problem. This is frustrating because to find a good honest transmission dealer of any sort is impossible especially in these times. My brother-in-law who owns a Meineke in brick New Jersey recommended me to go to Tranx Connection in Toms River New Jersey. So right from the beginning when I met the owner whose name is Bobby assured me that he would look into it and figure out what needed to be done to make the vehicle operate correctly. Not only did he keep me informed of everything along the way. He fixed the truck and did what he had to do to reinstall a remanufactured transmission. Everything was done in a couple of days, and it runs and works great. I highly recommend anybody looking for an honest individual to work on your vehicle to go to Tranz Connection in Toms River.

Avoid this place. The owner is an angry man with zero skills personally. I went with a problem and left it to be looked at. When I got called back he was in a huff to send me away as if I had brought the plague to his home. Wild gestures and angry words sending me away because he could not get parts for a transmission and a minor engine issue related to a transmission. What kind of transmission place can't get parts or even try to fix a transmission then get angry at the driver? - Edit adding. I would have let this go but you are entirely wrong and your rant here full of dismissive accusations just served to highlight my point about you being unskilled with personal interactions. With my review numbers and ratings I am obviously not a bogus account. Your reviews of single review 5 stars are the more suspicious.

Outstanding service! Spoke with owner, Bobby, about getting the transmission oil changed and also a concern about a symptom experienced when shifting. He let us know that this was not a sign of a failing transmission but inherent to this particular transmission when he could have easily told us otherwise. Am so glad we listened to the reviews about Bobby's honesty because they were not exaggerating. He just gained 2 more long term customers.

Bobby runs a top-notch shop. I've been using him for over 10 years, and I will continue to use him until the day I move out of the State of New Jersey. His prices are fair. He's honest. You can not find a better we repair shop as far as I am concerned!!!

In a single word: WOW. I brought our 2016 Silverado into Tranz Connection because we suspected a transmission issue, and were HORRIFIED by what the local Chevy dealership told us. Bobby not only explained that there were issues with this particular vehicle, but told us - up front - what we were in for ($) if it was what he thought it was. As it turns out, he was right, and we did a full transmission replacement on the vehicle; his shop also took great care to remove & refab our custom exhaust (it had to come out, due to the trans work). We were very impressed to be brought out to the garage and shown the old transmission, and some of the other equipment they utilize to perform service; this is sacred ground where customers rarely go. After the service was completed, Bobby also took the time to come out with us, and climb under the truck, to show us the new work. This demonstrates to me that the owner really loves what he does, and wants you to be happy. Nobody likes the idea of having to pony up bucks for a transmission....but this couldn't have been a more pleasant experience; it's like driving a brand new truck. Additionally, the shop is clean, bright, and (actually) cozy. Even the bathroom is spotless. I'd also like to add that the price we paid was LESS then HALF of what the Stealership wanted. Keep that in mind. Don't go any further - come here, and see Bobby.

Bobby was phenomenal, work van was towed in from the parkway. He diagnosed and repaired flywheel and starter. The van was done by the end of the day. He saved me a bundle in lost work revenue. Top notch work and reasonable prices

I was having an issue with my truck and Bobby had told me to drop it off so he could look at it. He called me up to explain the issue and what the best option was to fix it. He gave me a very reasonable price and fixed it for me. Bobby is a reliable and honest guy and I won t go to anyone else.

Bobby is the absolute best. I have never had to leave a vehicle for more then 24 hrs to be worked on. I drop it off the night before and by noon the next day it's ready for pickup. We have had everything from a transmission replaced to things as simple as a sensor. No matter what the problem is, this shop will find it and fix it in record time. It's not easy to find a good mechanic and since we found tranz connection we will never go anywhere else.Service: Transmission

I've been a customer for 20 years. Bobby is honest professional and a truly nice and good person . It's a pleasure dealing with tranz connection. He has charged me as little as ten dollars for a repair and once nothing for a minor adjustment. He never takes advantage and only charges what is necessary to fix or maintain your vehicle.To all women who don't know much about cars ...this is the place to take your car. He is truthful and only does work that is necessary.

Bobby and his team were great! I went in this morning because my car was making a rattling sound off and on. Turns out a plastic cover was loose under my car (splash guard?) and all he had to do was reattach it and I was only there for about 10 minutes. He also did not charge me for this service . Thank you so much, I will definitely come back here in the future.

This place is amazing. I had a major transmission problem and dropped it off to Bobby for a free diagnosis. He was quick and professional. I had to have the entire thing replaced and he gave me all the options. He did his homework and contacted 6 different sources to find out if anyone but the dealership could provide the parts we needed at a lower price. I know he did this because I asked him to give me several hours to think about what I wanted to do with the vehicle, then took the time to call around myself. The other people said that someone else had just called to check for the same parts. Eventually I went back to Bobby and he told me that he would order the parts and that it would take about a week.He performed the work in the time quoted, and at the price quoted, this also included taxes, labor, etc. When I came to collect my vehicle, Bobby showed me all of my old parts and the new parts boxes. This is a sign of a good HONEST mechanic. He didn't need to do that, and people are just supposed to trust the mechanics words, but Bobby went that extra mile.His shop was large and incredibly clean. Everything looked amazing. The work he performed has been great. I recommend him and his team to anyone in the area!

I cannot say enough good things about Bobby and his crew! We flew in to purchase a Ford Transit van that was having drive shaft issues. We had already been stuck in town 3 days while dealing with plates, finding the part, and tires. To make things more interesting, on the drive to Tranz Connection, the blower for our heater stopped working completely and we froze. Bobby fit us in first thing in the morning and had us back on the road before 1pm. Great communication, pricing, and honest work! Our stop here gave us a little glimpse of hope in this whole fiasco. Bobby and Trans Z are my go to place for all things car maintenance related. Most honest staff and very reasonably priced. I would bring my car down from NY in the winter to be serviced here, because this is one of the few places I can trust as a woman car owner to not speak to me condescendingly, call me "sweetheart," or otherwise treat me disrespectfully. They also do inspections. Very friendly, efficient, and quick!
