I received exceptional service from Geno. An hour to closing he was rapping up for the day and no room to add another job. He went beyond the call of duty and accommodated me in my moment of need. This is a holiday and at the last hour. I could believe his dedication to customer service but most importantly his compassion to my need. I am from Northern New Jersey and would have sleep the night in my car. I an extremely grateful for Geno to be the service person on duty. He totally deserves 5 stars plus. Thank Geno, keep up the outstanding attention toward customer service and satisfaction.

If you need your car serviced, Pep Boys is the place to go!!! Geno was able to beat the price of other quotes I received for brake pads and rotors. I was in a bind with being able to get them done at an affordable price, and before I went to work tomorrow, and he got me in right away today. Thank goodness he did because it started snowing today! Geno and Tony were kind, empathetic, and understanding of my situation. I couldn t have asked for a better experience and better service! My son and I were able to wait while my car was serviced and had a nice table and chairs to sit at to play games while we waited. Thank you to all of the mechanics and managers at Pep Boys for helping this single mom have a safe car to drive in! Thank you, Geno!

Kevin Singh and the whole team at this Pep Boys are excellent. The manager Kevin went above and beyond to help us with getting our vehicle fixed. I have been a Pep Boys customer for 20+ years and will only shop there when our vehicles need tires or other work done because I know that the company is trustworthy, honest, professional and fair. Cliff and Tony at the front desk are friendly professional and most importantly trust worthy! The quotes and pricing are more than fair and transparent with no hidden costs. Technicians Colin and Jose took care of my car with exceptional attention to detail. (tires, brakes, alignment, oil change, air filter) PepBoys in Toms River, for the second time in two months, has provided me with Top quality service! I will be using them for all of my car service needs and I highly recommend that you do as well. 5 Stars

I made an appointment online for an oil change. The price was $39.99 and a $10 coupon. When I got there, they tried to charge me $44.95. I questioned it, and their response was you had to make it online, uhhhh I did.I arrived to my appointment early, and they tried to persuade me to leave, saying they were backed up.Avoid this place

PepBoys in Toms River GM has the most disrespectful Customer Service representatives. Unless you want to be insulted, don t go there . My son and I had a very uncomfortable and distasteful experience buying tires which took more than 3 hours to install with an appointment. The individual at the desk was arrogant and rude when asked if there was a Veteran s Discount. He attempted to humiliate me. It s a wonder the US is in such a sorry shape. If you can, go somewhere else. I m addition, there was a gentleman in front of me who seemed to be treated with more respect. I m concerned this organization might need some gender counseling on how to speak to females.Still no contact or apologies from Pep Boys incredibly arrogant and rude

This store takes care of me, and my friends. Highly recommend this place if you need an oil change, or even much more. Place is under new management and lots of new friendly faces. Such as Kevin. Kevin is not only a great service advisor, but has lots of firsthand knowledge about cars since he was a Technician.

I had an absolutely 10 star experience today with three very dedicated customer service we can make and pep boys stuff. Craig was very informative extremely nice helped me try to figure out how to pay with my card and save me from a panic attack LOL and Marlin and Kevin as well were amazing everybody here is nice and they get you in they do a great job everything's warrantied who could ask for anything more!

Called them up and asked if they could install my lights and if they accepted my credit card there said yes to both and I can bring the lights over then got there and the weird looking guy in the front of service is like uh we don t install outside parts. Ok sounds like everyone should be on the same page and isn t.

We ve been taking our cars to the Toms River NJ PepBoys for all our regular service and repairs for at least 3 years. We ve had brake, AC, oil and other maintenance done. They ve always been trustworthy to deal with, do good work, fair on pricing, and they ve even stuck to their estimate when the repair ended up costing them more money. My wife and I always mention our PepBoys when we talk about our auto repair work. I will always recommend them to anyone in the area.

Great service. I used to use Mavis for tires as they are 5 minutes away from my house but the service is horrible. This particular Pep Boys is about a half hour from my house but it is well worth the ride.

Cliffy is amazing. He does great work on my car. He is always finding a time that works the best for me and makes sure my car is great condition before leaving. I highly suggest using him if you need any future car services.

Amazing place to get my car serviced . Been going to this location for years now . Staff is very friendly , especially the manager Cliff . This pepboys location is trustworthy good business SERVICE - If you are looking for a mechanic or plan to go to a pepboys this location is where you should go. It is very hard to find trustworthy mechanics that are not trying to rip you off. The managers here are HONEST TRUSTWORTHY people actually looking out for you. Multiple occasions they had an opportunity to take advantage of me and chose not to and did right by me. This is rare in mechanics and you can t put a price on it.PRICE - No mechanic is cheap but I did extensive price checking. For tires pepboys is a significant amount cheaper in most cases. For alignments and brakes they are around the same as the competitors slightly cheaper than some but they offer LIFETIME WARRANTIES for alignments and brake pads.Hard to put a price on trustFor scheduling, most times I call they are able to fit me in the same day or the next day.They are very flexible and accommodating on scheduling

Geno, the service manager at pep boys of toms river nj is a man of his word and very helpful with getting me the right set of tires to fit my driving needs and budget. Highly recommended shop to get a set of tires,don't look anywhere else!!

I was rear ended and right after the accident brought the car in because the exhaust was hanging off. In the afternoon, they said the exhaust has been welded and pieced together a lot. Granted I bought this car second hand so there s been repairs to the vehicle I m not aware of. Anyway, so they explain everything got pushed up and it broke off. Fast forward to me picking up the car. They are now telling me the guy who hit me didn t do this to my car bc it was bad to begin with. So I say well it was together and fine before I got hit. Then it wasn t so I m pretty sure it s a direct effect of being hit. He again tells me I m wrong but then tells me he wasn t there so he doesn t know. They did an inspection of the car in April and said the exhaust was fine. So if it was so bad why did they not address it in April. They also carried over issues from the inspection from April to this one even though they have already been address such as my serpentine belt. It was replaced and they have that it needs to be replaced and I declined. And I don t care what the condition of the car was prior to an accident. If something breaks after an accident it s that drivers fault and they should be accountable.

Scheduled for a diagnostic and oil change for 10:30am. Told them what the issues were going on with my car and dropped my car off. 7 hours later, no phone call or updates on my car. So I called and they haven t even checked my car in to have it looked at. So it had to be looked at the next day. Wish I knew that before I dropped off my car, and when I booked the appointment two days before I saw they had many available times to have my car serviced. So finally the next day comes and they tell me I need over a grand of work done. Which was fine, but then they tell me they need my car again to stay overnight and it will be done the next day. So the next day comes and I never got a call or anything telling me my car is done. Finally I call after 4pm and the guy who picked up the phone said my car was done by noon. After I picked up my car, my car runs like it s brand new and I m really happy with the service but the communication and customer service is very mediocre. If you want your car fixed or anything expect your car to be there 3 days minimum.

Only the repair shop is open the retail side is closed. I did not have any repair services. I contracted with Tire Rack to install tires on my truck. The tires were shipped to this location and for a shop fee were installed. There was no pressure from the shop to perform extra work (alignment etc.) vehicle was dropped off at 12pm and by 530pm I had picked it up. Small to no waiting area.

Went into the store today to purchase new tires for my truck. The online store will not allow me to purchase and schedule an install due to the tires being oversized. The store manager sat in his office and wouldn t come out to speak about the fact they refused to honor the pricing as advertised. It was very clear the store didn t want to help and told me to go to another store. Very sad to see this place become so terrible over the years.

I Only go here for tires. The folk at the counter are always kind. Worry about your safety and won't pressure you to get service you can't afford. Will help solve issues cheaply and safe.

While I have no issue with the work that was performed (two rear tires), the overall atmosphere of this place is dismal. Employees seem miserable, the waiting area is disgusting, all the chairs are ripped, dirty and uncomfortable, dark and dreary. When I asked the service advisor if that was the waiting area, he responded yea and there's a bench outside you can sit on. UGH Whoever owns this store should be ashamed of themselves for providing that area for the customers. I had to wait over an hour and there wasn't even a working coffee machine, water or snack machine. I know it's not a dealership but those are common amenities that most repair shops/dealerships offer. When I got home I decided to see if there were any similar circumstances like mine and oh boy the reviews are not good. I will definitely not be returning to this location for any repairs on my vehicle.

These guys are crooks. There was a store manager before this current one I believe his name was Vraj, that I was very pleased with, I felt he was very honest, and gave me very good prices...Now, I understand these guys need to make money, but ever since the new store manager took place of the old one, they have been quite literally scamming people, and lying excessively, I've never gone here again. This place actually made me want to start learning how to do things on my own.So, what happened was, first, I needed a simple serpentine belt change, and going there, was quoted $450, which even I knew was an absolute ripoff and a half, I said no thank you, and I went to medias where they charged me an appropriate $150,What made me absolutely outraged was, I bought new headlight bulbs for my 2004 Toyota Camry, LED'S, now, at this point, I wasn't as comfortable working on my vehicle as I am now, so I went to this Pep boys, and I just asked them if they can install them for me, they took my car in, and than came back out after taking my car in there garage, where I was than told by one of there mechanics, that because my car is old, it will not support LED Bulbs and I will need to replace the entire headlight system, and quoted me $1,000,I said yea alright, I laughed and left, I went home, I went on YouTube, and I watched a video on how to do it, bada bing, bada boom, I got it done myself in 20 minutes, and guess what, no new headlight system required, works perfectly fine. I will never go this location again, and I don't suggest you do eather....As you can see here, new LED's in my 2004 Toyota Camry, works just fine, they completely lied to me to try to make a quick buck.

I was caught off guard when I just requested an oil changes and few minor things later, I have a 550.00 invoice. I have to say my SUV is running much better than before I took to Pep Boys. Much better than the service I received at Mavis!!

They definitely are not what they used to be a few years ago. Now try nickel and diming you to get everything done vs. telling you what you really need and when. Try to avoid granting the warranty and such, but who doesn't try that. There used to be this manager that was sooo nice and knowledgeable, but now there only a few guys that actually are and don't try to show off. Only this 1 older guy is condescending to women, but funny actually doesn't know much himself. The rest are very nice. Some lower techs don't fully look into things. Like my radiator was hot and they thought just because the coolant cap was off so they only replaced the cap, but didn't think it blew from the heat. Turns out the whole thing needed to be replaced when I returned and had a senior tech look at it. Same with a tire leak, they just thought the cap was loose. So definitely not the same level of experience as they used to have here. But that's everywhere lately.They do still try to add the company coupons for you, without even asking. They do have good tire sales and somewhat free install. And will plug up a nail or so when you get that. They try to get you to replace your filters every few months though, so don't listen they can last 1-2yrs, because they charge $50+ for a 20sec job and a filter that costs $10-20. Easier than changing your wipers. I am not sure if they permanently or temporarily closed their autoparts shop, but that door is locked and the area closed off.
