I love cars, but the thought of going to a car dealership does not always spark joy and excitement. It was time for me to get my next Honda, so I sent some emails out. The team at Honda of Toms River was the only dealership out of several who did not play word games in email. They actually responded quickly and also answered my questions directly. I thought maybe it was too good to be true, but when I actually went to the dealership to take the next steps, they were just as great. Shout out to Alec who was my initial contact - and shout out to Doug who completed my transaction. These guys are responsive, kind, and knowledgeable. On the day I went to pick up my car, we had unbelievable rain - Doug kept the car in the garage for me to be able to see it dry before I took it home. I really appreciate that kind gesture. If you are looking for a new Honda and live anywhere within a couple hours of Toms River, NJ, you need to give this dealership a try because it was probably the best experience I've had with a dealership. When I'm ready for the next Honda, this is where I will be going.

Great experience dealing with Honda and especially with Joe Santino, their associate dealer! From start to finish, he was professional, friendly and most of all very informative. He not only knew his craft but was quite patient with us and our questions. We felt we were definitely in good hands. Thank you to him and to Honda!!!

Word of advice BE AWARE of this dealership. Once you seal the deal they take your money, run and don't look back. Their managers communication is horrible! When you're trying to buy the car they are extremely pushy with adding warranties to your purchase and advice you that "Cancellation is super easy" however when it actually comes to cancelling they turn a blind eye, will not return any phone calls and will ignore all emails sent. My sister purchased her car here and you would think purchasing car would be a pleasent experience, but this dealership has behaved extremely unprofessional and money hungry. If you still decide to purchase a car from this dealership after reading this, good luck because if you ever encounter a problem after a purchase, you'll never hear from them again.

EMILY IS AWESOME!!!!!!The dealership is excellent. General manager was very cordial and friendly, as well as the rest of the staff. .Emily was our sales person. She greeted us at the door. We let her know we were on our way and she was ready and waiting for us. She expedited the process she made it extremely tolerable and we drove four hours to get there. ..Extremely pleasant, but expeditious at the same time and made the whole process much less painful after the long trip to get there. as far as the vehicle, we found it online and everything was as appeared which given we had just left two other dealerships, where, from the employees to the management to their advertised vehicles none of it was, I stated or appeared.THANK YOU EMILY AND HONDA OF TOMS RIVER!!It was worth the drive !!!Lisa M

My car buying experience at Honda of Toms River was great because of Doug. I went to another dealership earlier that day and it was nothing like my experience with Doug. Doug was patient and incredibly understanding. He made me feel comfortable the entire time and answered all of my questions. He went through all of the features of my new CR-V and really took the time to make sure I understood the vehicle and that I was happy. Honestly, I'm going to recommend Doug to all my friends and family. Honda of Toms River is lucky to have him on their staff. Every car dealership should train their salespeople to have the work ethic and compassion Doug has.

Had an excellent experience with Honda of Tom s River. Was my first time buying from a dealership, as well as buying from out of state, and everything went smoothly. Shout out to Dean who helped me through the whole process and was very upfront and honest about the vehicle. Absolutely no surprises when I flew in to pick up the car. Would recommend this dealership!

Purchased a used car from here and had a really good overall experience. After reaching out to confirm the vehicle s availability, I had a nice text exchange with Eddie who answered a few questions via text but then left me alone. Followed up with him via text a few days later to let him know I d be in to test drive. When I arrived, I met with Emily who was very pleasant, easy to work with, and collaborative which helped to secure a deal that I was comfortable with. I did prior research and had financing secured and was in and out within approximately 3 hours. Good experience all around!

Absolutely amazing from the moment I reached out to the moment I walked in. I actually got a car I really wanted this time and the process was so smooth I walked in knowing what I could afford and what I was looking for. Eddie, Delia, and Dean thank you so much for everything and thank you for making me feel so welcomed I appreciate it very much so glad I finally got my Honda Accord. The whole staff was very supportive and helpful throughout the whole process couldn t have made a better choice.

Great experience! Emily was my sales person. She was honest friendly and didn t pressure me. She took care of my insurance transfer while finance was working on my loan and a shuttle came and picked me up when I dropped off my rental. Excellent service. I would definitely recommend Toms River Honda.

I got a flat on my CRV on a Saturday morning. I really did not want to go to one of those auto stores or tire centers as it seems like every time they patch a tire on one of my cars it never seems to ride the same again. So I decided to give Honda of Toms River a try even though I assumed they would say they were too busy to take a walk in. Lisa answered the phone and said no problem, we will help you, come right over. How refreshing is that? I had never been therefore before so when I arrived, Kate got me all setup in their system super efficiently. She was friendly and informative and got me out of there within about an hour. My weekend, which started out annoying was turned around in the course of a couple of hours thanks to Honda of Toms River.

Kyle is the most friendly, knowledgeable sale man from the moment we needed help. Our experience with him exceeded our expectations during our our purchase. The whole staff we dealt with there were so friendly. Would highly recommend this establishment.Editing review 3 weeks later: This dealership is unreal. I would definitely but from another dealer. Our salesman and a manager no longer work there and they told us we would be getting a roof rack installed on them what a joke, this model car we bought can not get a roof rack put on and they knew it. Liars! Nothing like making a sale on broken promises. We got a flat tire and there was a tool to unlock the bolts from the tire and they never put the tool in our car, how do you sell a car and not give all the components of the car? Less than 2 days and our temporary plates expire and no one can help me find out where they are. The Manager I spoke with Delia kept cutting me off of my conversation, was rude then she hung up on me. Wow Honda, get your deal together. I m sure I m another unhappy customer who was happy at first.

I never have a bad experience like I did with this dealership. My son contacted them after he found a particular car he wanted to purchase before joining the work force. After he spoken with a sale representative and came to an agreement, I placed a deposit and scheduled early Monday morning to sign the paperwork. His excitement ended on late Saturday when he received a call from the sale rep indicating that the manager has sold that particular car to someone else. Since they don t have another car that he likes, I asked the sale rep to return the deposit. The sale rep agreed. It has been two months since they breached the agreement and numerous calls to the manager, they still haven t refunded the deposit. Notice that they told me numerous times that they will process the refund and has not done so. I guess legal action is my only result to deal with scums like this. All liar and deceiving people I have to deal with. Please don t trust anyone in this dealership.

Emily was an absolute pleasure to work with! I can t thank her enough for her patience, honesty, and support during this sale. As a mom of 3, keeping my family safe and comfortable while on the road was a huge priority and Emily made sure we were comfortable and safe as well as in our budget and was even able to get us into a newer and lower mileage Honda Odyssey! I honestly can t wait to come back for servicing and thank her every time I see her. My recent visit to Honda of Toms River's service department left me thoroughly disappointed. Despite assurances that my fluids would be topped off during an oil change, this promise was never fulfilled. To add insult to injury, I was charged for a service that was never provided. This lack of integrity and failure to deliver on basic commitments has left me questioning the reliability of Honda of Toms River's service department.

I was traveling through NJ to FL. Called for oil change and maintenence check. The service manager was great. Recommended 3 other services. I rejected as I was sure I had them done this past year already and called my Honda dealer in FL to verify. I will be back during my travels again. Thank you.

I had an excellent experience with Melissa (hope I am remembering her name correctly ) She was wonderful and kept things moving right along! The waiting area was comfortable with free coffee and vending machines. Also the valet was friendly and helpful! The only reason for taking off one star is half because I miss the inside cleaning/car wash that was standard with my Toyota when servicing and other half because of corporate charging the extra $ for using a credit card to pay!

Purchased a used vehicle and the sales staff was pleasant. The vehicle wasn t detailed although it was stated it was. Also, previous owners documents were left between the seats.

It was nice to walk into the dealership it's not the type that overwhelms you as you enter. Some of the places I have visited had an army of sales reps all over the place and lying in wait. It's a small place and we were treated quite well. Our salesman Mark Gianchiglia was very much a gentleman and respectful.We had an idea of almost exactly what we wanted and without too much information he brought it to us. The correct color and all. And most of all the numbers worked. I have bought a few vehicles in my life and this was without a doubt the best experience doing so. I can't thank them enough. Make you stop here.

Should have heeded the bad reviews on this place. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! All they care about is the sale. They sold us a used car that never should have been offered for sale. We pointed out an issue with the coolant reservoir when we looked at the car and instead of doing the repair or letting us know that there was an issue so we could make an informed decision said that it wasn't an issue just an oversite. Became an issue within the week of purchase with a radiator leak. Now, six weeks after purchase, find out that there is rust eating through the braking system of the car not to mention most of the underside components of the car. They charge $2,000 for preparation for sale but I don't know what they do because if they had a competent individual looking at the car, they would have seen the issues once the car was up on a lift.

Stan was very helpful, nice, and took great care of our car. They checked all the necessary things and provided a nice, detailed invoice for things needing attention. Stan didn t try to pressure me into doing additional services, and hew was great to work with today.

I received a letter at my car was being recalled. Between the time I open the letter and time I was back home with everything fixed it was less than an hour. Everyone was so accommodating and did things efficiently and quickly while I was comfortable in the waiting room watching the army Navy game. I have been leasing Hondas for over 20 years. Occurred in Pennsylvania, because that is where I lived until a year and A half ago. I feel confident that when it comes time to renew my lease in 2025 I will get excellent service.

On two separate occasions i called to verify cars that were listed on their website were actually on their lot in Tom s river. Both times i was told yes. Both times they were not. I was told that i was mistaken despite SPECIFICALLY asking if they were in Tom s river. They would not discuss pricing or additional fees over the phone and i can see why. They drove my trade in vehicle without my permission to, or me being present. They wanted to tack on $4500 in inspection and certification fees on their CPO vehicles, which are all generally not favorably priced. Do your research people, i got a Honda pilot, same year, less miles $8000 cheaper by not getting scammed by this place. And that s after i purchased Honda Care. You can buy your own Honda Care extended warranty from other Honda dealers that will offer the same coverage. Do a little research and don t fall into the trap. I have coverage for 120k miles and lots of money in my pocket.

Spoke to Delia / Sales Manager for used cars while I was looking for a Fiat. She had zero interest in hearing or answering the (very basic) questions that I wanted answered before committing to a 1.5 hour one way drive to the dealership to see the car. She was *only* interested in hearing herself talk and pushing me to get into the showroom. For a dealer that keeps talking about professionalism and 'no pressure sales', this experience has been quite the opposite.
