Can't say enough great things about Davis Automotive! Honest, thorough, great work at reasonable prices! Ed and his son have helped our family out with vehicle issues and routine maintenance. They are the best!

Ed over at Davis Automotive did me a HUGE favor when I brought my car there.After battling with a bad headlight for a week, I was pulled over twice within two hours on a Saturday evening thanks to all my lights starting to fail all at once. A ticket and a threat to impound my car later, I was desperate to get my car checked the next day.Google was showing that Davis was open on Sunday, so I brought my car there thinking they were open. Turned out it was an error on Google, and they were closed, but Ed s sister was nice enough to let him know I was there and needed help. Even though he was technically off, Ed took my car anyway!My car needed new bulbs and fuses which took several hours to troubleshoot. Not only did he do all that work on his day off, his price for the work was beyond reasonable.Ed has an incredible work ethic with compassion added to the mix. Definitely not the kind of service I ve received at the local dealership.I recommend Davis Automotive 1000%!Service: Electrical repair

My 09 scion xd with 200,700 miles broke down in the road when I was heading to work, so I called out because I could not make it to work and was given 2 weeks notice for calling out 10x the next day. Anyway I called this Mechanicshop asap and told Ed that my car could not go any faster than 5mph. The engine light was on and the engine was shaking hard when pressing the gas. Ed was so experience that he knew what was wrong with my car. Got the car towed to his shop.the next day I got my airfilter changed, spark plugs , ignition coils#3 and an oil changed done with affordableprice!. And the great news is iam very satisfied with his service. Davis Automotive gained a new customer.

Took my car here back in July for a slow A/C leak. Ed took the car in the day I called and I got it back a day later. He said to take it back if there was any problems. I haven't had to, because they did the job right the first time. Reasonable prices, quick and reliable service.

Good mechanic shop. Very good mechanic. Been using Davis automotive well over a decade now. One man shop. Well recently owner and son working in garage . Always does decent work and gets the job done. Will continue to use Davis automotive. Owner is a good guy. Shop is behind house that sits out front on kings Hwy.

I had a tire blow out on the Turnpike. I live 3 hrs away, so there was no getting home on the spare. It was Saturday, so lots of service centers were closed.Ed Davis did his best to try to find a replacement tire on his lot, but didn't have it. So he called around for me and found a place that did have it, decent price, and told me how to get there. He also directed me to a great pizza place. I give him 5 stars for customer service and a great personality.

Ed Davis was amazing - dedicated and thorough. Our car overheated on the Jersey turnpike on our way to vacation. It was Saturday around 5 pm and we got towed to Davis Automotive. Ed stayed late on Saturday night to look at the car and then worked on it overnight. He was communicative and kept us in the loop while he worked on the car. We really appreciated his dedication and good work.Service: Engine repair

I pulled in to work this morning after hearing a weird noise from the back of my truck only to find that my rear tire had gone completely flat. I managed to get the tire off the rim and had gone to the Firestone off Exit 10 with a co-worker. I will never go there again. I explained the situation to the service guy.. don't know if he was the manager or just a writer but he was a d*$k. I explained my situation and the time constraint I was under and he could give two sh!%s. My co-worker got on the inter-web and found Ed's place. We headed over and he was more than accommodating! He had the tire patched in about 15 minutes and even offered some advice about an issue we encountered taking the tire off the rim. He helped me a in a time of need and was very polite and professional. I will definitely be back if and when the need arises. In fact I'm due for an oil change and will probably have him do it. I would rather give the smaller shops the business at this point anyway.

Ed and his team were lifesavers.Driving up from VA to NYC and suddenly heard a chopping sound coming from my wheel well going over the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Pulled over at the first rest stop in NJ and found Ed 15 mins away. From the time I called him to the time I left was exactly an hour, and I had a 15 minute drive to get over to the shop. Also gave me a very fair price on the repair, given the short notice.Highly recommended.

driving my 2005 cadillac escalade ext and notice the brake light along with the Service Brake System and Stability System Disabled are flashing and bells are ringing loudly. i press the brake pedal it sank most of the way to the floor, braking is very iffy and took a long time. call Davis Auto he tells me i can't drive the vehicle like that. i drop it off Monday 6/6 at 9am and it is done Tuesday noon. $528 for a master cylinder & brake lining. tells me, in his own words "it is fixed except the brake pedal sinks mostly to the floor and the brake light, service brake system and stability system disabled lights are on, but the truck stops". i was worried i will not pass inspection, he told me "it was fine, those warnings were for the parking brake". then he tells me every part in my brake system is failing and needs to be replaced. i was a little upset, we had words, he starts to give me my key/key fob but decides not to. i paid and took the truck with my spare key. next week took it to my mechanic an hour away. i had no brakes. it is illegal in NJ to allow a car on the road with no brakes (i found out later). it was rush hour & i had two emergency stops where the truck failed to stop and i was forced onto the shoulder to avoid an accident. my mechanic is astounded by what went on here. looks it over and notices my brake fluid is black. bled the brake fluid until it ran clear, put more in and it was fixed. didn't take very long and cost me $95. not really sure why Ed Davis kept my keys, in my mind there is only one reason and he knows where the truck is parked. i used Davis Auto two years ago with the same experience, he fixes parts he says are old and failing but doesn't fix the problem and tells me everything in the truck needs to be replaced (almost $1000)... i finally go to my mechanic who says everything is fine, truck is clean for an old truck. its an old truck, it has old parts. but old parts do work. two years, no problems until this.OMG replying to Davis Auto: You lost the dispute because I asked you to fix my brakes and you did not fix my brakes.Service: Brakes

My brother was driving from my house in Jersey City to his house in Maryland. His car broke down at 10 PM on Sunday evening. We had the car towed to the gas station right off exit 2 on the NJ Turnpike. I drove down and picked him up and we left the car.I didn't know how we were going to take care of the situation with him in Maryland and me in Jersey City. Lucky he broke down close to Davis Automotive. I called there explained the situation to Ed, the owner. He was incredibly understanding and even offered to drive over to the gas station and check out the car. He was able to tow it to his shop without the keys.I arranged to have the keys sent to him so he could diagnose the problem, turns out it was a transmission issue. He gave us a very reasonable price for the parts and repair. Unfortunately the car was fairly cheap and not worth it for us to repair.Ed offered to exchange his service fees for the car, which worked out for us. So we sent him the title and he mailed back the license plates.It was so refreshing to deal with a mechanic who was looking out for my best interest. I'm so happy I called Ed and I'll forever be grateful for his help during this difficult situation. Thanks Davis Automotive!

My car had the misfortune of breaking down on the NJ turnpike, and we were stuck until we were towed to a local Shell station in Swedesboro (the nicest people work there, btw!). It was New Year's Eve weekend, and it seemed all the auto repair shops were either closed or unwilling to take my car. The last number I called before the tow truck came was Davis Automotive (I had actually called earlier, but Ed was working on a car at that moment) and he said, "Bring it over." So we did, and it was the best decision I made on this trip! Ed is a great mechanic and a hard worker. He let me know my car was finished on New Year's Eve, just before midnight, as he had been working on it until then! I was so impressed, and he found the problem and fixed it for a fair price. We travel safely in our car now, and made it to New York and back! I am so grateful to Ed and Davis Automotive, and my only wish now is that I lived in the area so he could be my mechanic all the time! I recommend this place more than I can say! So thankful.

Traveling of NJ Turnpike on a hot summer Saturday on my way to Cape Cod. The brakes were squealing despite having recent brake job. Exited NJ turnpike at Swedesboro, called AAA and waited. Also called big repair in the area. Could not reach any service managers. I kept searching and found Davis Auto Repair. I called Ed Davis answered. I went directly to the shop. He came out and resolved the issue. Ed, don t call him Mr. Davis, was polite, honest and professional. Back on the road in record time and drove to Cape Cod and back. Brakes were all good. My Mom and I broke down on NJ turnpike going from CT to Florida..AAA towed car to Davis Automotive about half hour away.. only place around that was open on a Saturday..Ed looked at the car right away even though he was very busy! In about 2 hours he diagnosed the problem as an electric water pump gone bad and needed thermostat..I needed to wait u til Wednesday for him to fix .. Long story short we made it back to Florida with no problems..thanks Ed!! Highly recommend Davis Automotive

Was driving along 295 on a Saturday morning and a cover under chassis fell off due to several missing screws. Google maps directed to Davis, who was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Learning I was traveling, Mr Davis helped back up another car and put up my car and did the repair immediately! Awesome awesome work. Life saver!

Was stranded due to my car breaking down. Ed got the parts needed and fixed it up. He even had me dropped off at a hotel to stay the night since it was later in the day and couldn't get the parts til the next day.

Car broke down on a road trip. Thank goodness I was directed to call Ed. He worked over the weekend to solve my problem and communicated the entire time keeping me updated. Really exceptional service from someone who seems to love what he does. Thank you so much!!!

HONEST & GREAT REPAIR SHOP!My old pickup had some busted & rusted out suspension components. (Thanks to living in the North-East!) He took his time and replaced only what was needed while other shops would have just cut every out and thrown the parts cannon at it, costing me a butt load of cash.Take your vehicles to Davis Automotive for service & repairs. He'll take care of you!

My fianc� drove up to Swedesboro, NJ for a horse show and experienced issues with her F350 on the way there. She was out of town and didn t know any good shops. So thankful she found Davis Automotive. Stand up company! They took care of her truck from start to finish and couldn t have been nicer. Thank you! Wish this shop was in my home town.
