Hilltop always provides the best service and care for my car. Recently I had my car serviced and a check to see why my engine light was on. Turns out, the issue was part of an extended warranty from Mercedes Benz. Gordon took the car to the dealership to have the repair done under warranty, picked the car up once the repair was made and then performed the necessary service on the car. I don t know where else such excellent and caring service could be found. Gordon and his team provide excellent and trustworthy service. I can t imagine trusting the care of my car to any other business!

I went to hilltop for multiple of my vehicles in the past. I have tuned cars and cannot go to the dealer. However now that I have gone to them I would never go back to the dealership. They are the most professional and skilled mechanics in the business and made me feel like family. He serviced my m4cs, my m5 comp, huracan evo, and 718 gt4. As well as added some tasteful modifications. If you want expert service, kind people, and a fast and easy experience go see Gordon at hilltop auto.

Gordon and co. know their stuff. I have been a repeat customer for 5 years. Extremely fast service. Gordon is super particular about getting everything done right. Even when I have cars under warranty, I bring them to Hilltop to be serviced because I trust the work to be done at the highest level.

This is a great mechanic. They are very honest and efficient. They quickly figured out what was wrong with my car, and went out of their way to coordinate with a local dealership to help me save on service that is under warranty. I highly recommend them.

Gordon expertly diagnosed and corrected my niggling electrical problems on a Range Rover. Then knowing I was in a bind for the car took extra steps to get it back to me. True service! Thank you.

Gordon, Wilber and the rest of the Hilltop Auto Repairs team have been a genuine godsend after an awful experience purchasing a used Volvo that turned out to be in dire condition. They took what should have been a totaled vehicle and repaired it to a miraculous standard.As others have reviewed, no it is not the cheapest place to service our vehicle, but by gosh is it the most *affordable* in the long run, because they do such a fantastic job. Like preventative healthcare for our car!As an example, the engine coolant light came on this week and I immediately called Gordon. (What a relief to have someone trustworthy to call in that moment!) After reassuring me it was safe the drive the couple blocks to the shop, Gordon kept the car overnight and proceeded to refit and fix all that was ailing our little car. I received it back the next day in what feels like brand new condition oil changed, new wipers, etc etc. I hadn t even realized the steering was a bit off, but of course they discovered and corrected the issue. They d even wiped down and dusted the interior! Amazing.Can t recommend highly enough!

I brought my Subaru in because I had multiple check engine lights on, which ended up requiring a software patch to fix. They were awesome in fitting me in, diagnosing the problem and quickly fixing it. The estimate for cost of work was clearly presented and came in slightly under. A couple of days after the fix, Gordon, the owner, called me to see if everything was still good. I've never had follow-up like that by any other auto shop. I ve been bringing my cars to Hilltop auto repairs for years. Gordon has always done excellent work and always been fair. Even though I now live in Richmond, VA, I still come to Summit frequently and bring my cars to Hilltop. Recently I brought in my BMW X3 M 4.0 for some work and Gordon was very knowledgeable and pointed out some things that had been done improperly by another repair shop. He fixed the issues immediately and I was on my way. It s pretty rare these days to find someone in the car business that is knowledgeable, fair and honest. Now that my son lives in Summit, he has become a big fan of Hilltop too.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Exceptional service and wonderful experience!I brought my car in because I needed a new battery. When I got my car back, it worked better than it ever did! I recently moved to Summit but even before I moved, I knew I was going to come to Hilltop. I would go out of my way to drive by and see what was on the lifts, original 911s, old school Jaguars, and the place is immaculate. It is the kind of shop I would dream up in my head and I personally won't take my car anywhere else. I read the review before mine about the expensive price/invoice and can understand their frustration but to say they're a ripoff is unfair. These guys are the best of the best and I want to keep my car in tip top shape forever, literally forever. So of course there will always be cheaper options out there but you need to make a personal decision about how much you care about your car. Expensive/inexpensive is all relative to the quality/value you are deriving from the product and I have a partner in Hilltop who treats my car like their own, and to me, that is priceless.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine tuning, Oil change

Hilltop Auto Repair is top notch. Professionalism at it's finest. When I brought my vehicle in for issues the dealer couldn't diagnose, they found out immediately. Not only was the service a 10, several of the repairs the dealer said I needed didn't need to be done at all. I was quoted a reasonable price before any service had begun and that was what I paid. No price gouging. Don't waste your money here. If you drive a Mercedes, BMW, or Audi - go to Nomad on 22 in Scotch Plains. For any other cars go to Dornick in Chattham.I went here for regular service 2 or 3 times. The last time I brought my car here they put the wrong size oil filter in. I didn't find out until I brought my car somewhere else 3 months later. I'll gladly pay the higher prices a high end shop will charge to have work done, but not when they can't do something as simple as get the right oil filter.Service: Oil change

I recently moved to Summit and found myself in need of an auto repair shop. I decided to call Hilltop Auto Repairs since it's conveniently located for me. I m so glad I did. The owner, Gordon, operates his business with a level of integrity and honesty not frequently seen at most auto repair shop - or many other business for that matter. Gordon is upfront about all the work needed and there's no upselling of unnecessary services. The physical shop itself is reason alone to visit. I have never seen such a modern, clean, and well organized repair shop. The location is truly stunning and I was thrilled to get a behind-the-scenes tour of all the high tech equipment. Ray Catena wouldn't build a shop this nice! It's clear these guys take pride in everything they do.

Overall great experience. Bring both my Audi and Subaru here. Explains the work being done. Always timely. I called the shop at 615am. Even though they weren't going to open for business until 8am, Rob still provided service to fix the flat tire on my 2015 Audi Q7. He made me feel like a valued customer. I will happily return to provide more business. Thanks again Rob, you're a good man! I'll recommend Hilltop to everyone.

About two weeks ago I ran over something on the highway. I knew immediately that I messed up at least my exhaust. I was able to drive the car home though. When I got there, I gave hilltop a call to see if they could at least put it on a lift and give me a clue as to how badly the car was damaged. The owner, Gordon, told me to bring it on over and the car was on a lift within 10 minutes. The shop was clean and the workers, as well as Gordon, were very polite and professional. After surveying the damage, he gave me the bad news. But that's where it ended. He completely took over and handled the whole ordeal. He also was kind enough to give me a ride home so I didnt have to walk, call a cab or wait an hour for a ride. Further, Gordon wholly dealt with my insurance company, who eventually totaled the vehicle. He was then kind enough to hold the car an extra day or two until I get back to clean it out of my stuff. All in all it was an absolute professional and pleasurable experience that came out of an unfortunate incident. Accordingly I cannot recommend enough going to Hilltop and Gordon for any of your automotive issues if you're in the Summit area.

The owner of the shop is an absolute P.O.S.He has harassed the neighbor and member of the Summit community for working on his own car in his own driveway. The man called the cops on something completely legal while trespassing. Take your business to ANYWHERE but this place.

owner is extremely disrespectful, has been harassing female senior neighbor for years and now is taking the feud out on her grandson. when i went for a quote i was treated condescendingly (i assume because i m a young female). would never return and hope that the staff stops with the utter disrespect towards customers and randoms.

Quoted me $50 to plug a tire. I wouldn t trust them. I got the same service done at brooks friendly services for $14. Go to brooks friendly services because these people can t even be trusted with simple repairs as plugging in a tire. Absolutely ridiculous!!

Top notch experience. The owner is a man of high integrity which is rare to come by in this industry. He offers fair pricing, excellent workmanship, tells it like it is, and is working out of his lifelong dream built-from-the-ground-up state of the art repair center.

Rude ...I called to ask a question last week and was immediately turned off I will give my business elsewhere. Very friendly staff, but an incredible ripoff. Gordon tried to explain to me how an oil change and tire rotation is valued at over $500. Just incredible that this range would not be quoted to a new walk-in customer. Suggest you think twice.
