We ran into engine trouble on our way to a family event on Labor Day, and we panicked about finding a mechanic who could help us out in the middle of the holiday - thank goodness Stan was kind enough to step away from his other commitments just to help us out. He fixed our car quickly and took fantastic care of us. Stan is a wonderful, generous person and we couldn't be more grateful for his effort to put our family plans back on track. He'll be our go-to mechanic from now on.

So three days ago I decided to take my car in to this mechanic to have a battery light diagnosed and have an engine hiccup problem addressed. Upon arriving he quickly got his mechanics to start checking out the car.He came back to me stating that the car needed a tune up and that would resolve the hiccup problems. I asked him what would be included in this tune up and he said oil change. Cabin and engine air filter change, spark plugs etc. I told him that I didn t need the oil changed because that was done recently. Anyways he said it would run me $200 for the tune up and I agreed to have the work done.I also had an oil leak from the valve cover and I asked him to add a new valve cover gasket to the repairs I wanted to get done. He said that would cost $240 and I agreed.I left the shop and started driving the car home and I noticed that the car started hiccuping again. Anyways I was tied up with work so the next morning I began my journey taking my mother to work when the car broke down in the middle of the freeway. After waiting 1.5 hours for a tow truck we towed it to a shop and upon checking the car we quickly realized that none of the work we agreed upon were performed.The valve cover gasket was not replaced. Instead. What they did was they added a gasket maker/sealer and re installed my old parts. (I paid to have new stuff installed) we check the filters and the we re old, dirty and clogged. I paid for new filter which should have been installed in this tune up that I paid for.So with that being said I contacted this guy and told him I found out that he scammed me and I gave him two options and he failed to cooperate with option 1 which is why you re seeing this review. I will be suing him in small claims court to recover my money. Times are too hard and I work really hard in a warehouse for my money to have some crook trick and steal it from me and not perform the work. It will not happen. They could have done the right thing but chose the fighting route but the judge will decide. I never go to war unless I know I will win. I have my evidence. Don t wait until you re served legal documents because at that time it will be too late. They know what they did. Talking about he has receipts smh.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had a terrible experience with the owner, Stanley was extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone.When a customer is not sure about something or there s a level of ambiguity in the service being rendered, please walk them through.Please explain it clearly to them, calling someone ignorant and getting upset, even hanging up the phone is a poor reflection of (you) customer service.I would never go there again or recommend anyone! When it came to pricing, he charged more for labor than the components/parts needed to fix my car.#Horrible experience, #Rip off, #Never again

Great fast experience and customer service. True professional who don t rip off people. I dropped my car off Monday and got it back same day. They went above and beyond to get me into the full schedule as I needed to go on the road for a family trip. The price was right especially for the fast turnaround. Good Evening All,I had one of the best experiences on Monday at Stan's Service Center. I was greeted by the Staff as if I was a long time customer/ Family. Fast forward I informed the Service Center Staff that I would need brakes and rotors front and back as well as front outer tire rod ends. I was given a very competitive pricing in regards to these repairs. I would most definitely recommend all my friends and family. Feel free to try these guys out they are young and hip and provide honest work at an affordable price.

So my check oil level came on because my oil pan had cracked and was leaking oil. Stan the owner and staff were not only polite but fixed my car in less than 24 hrs. Replaced my oil pan and did my oil change. My 2012 Acura TSX hasn t driven this smoothly since I got it. I would highly recommend them great service and they called me exactly when they said they would. Repair was costly but when you do an amazing job and do the job right the first time and not try to get over on your customers it s well worth it. Thanks a million for getting me back on the road ASAP.

I initially called trying to get a quote and just from the 2 minute conversation, i felt good about it. I went to the shop where i was greeted by Stan. Such a wonderful attitude, friendly, courteous and he knew his stuff. I got my car fixed at a very reasonable price and i am happy to say that i finally found a great place to take my car. Its hard finding a good mechanic, let alone a great one. Will not go anywhere else! Take your car there for all your needs people, you wont regret it!

Went to Stan's with no appointment (called ahead that day) to service my vehicle. It was done in no time and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend for oil change, brake pad issues, service checks. The staff treated me extremely well and it was a pleasure using Stan's Service Center. Will be back!

After getting my car diagnosed for $3500 by my local dealership a co-worker of mine refer me to Stan's car service center. I have always been suspicious of auto shops but talking to Stanley on the phone kinda change my prospective. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He listened to all my concerns and was not trying to upsell me. After talking to him for a few minutes I dropped my car to his shop around lunch time the very same day. I received a phone call at 6 pm letting me know that my vehicle was ready. My bill was less than half of my the dealership was trying to charge me. They do quality work and great customer service. I would recommend his shop to all my friends and family. STANLEY YOU HAVE A GOOD THING GOING. You have earned my trust and I will be your customer for life

I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in need of car repairs! This shop is amazing! I was terrified to leave my car! But honestly I had know right to judge because of my past experiences! This place is great! Not only did they do a great job on my car! They gain my trust! Which is very hard to do! The employees are remarkable! Great personalities and extremely nice! They also know there stuff! I didn t understand anything that was wrong with my car but Johnthan had broke it down in a way I could understand! Which felt great! He Actually took time to explain the issue to me so I could understand why that particular work needed done! Where as other places just want you to pay for the work without any real explanation! Stans Service Center is also true to their word! They do everything they say they gonna do! Trust in a business is important! No need to stress or worry about your car while it s in the care of this garage! They are amazing and truly remarkable! My car hasn t been this quite since I drove it off the lot! Thanks guys!! I appreciate it! If I ever need work done gain when I m in the area I will be sure to call !

I've had my car repaired at Stan' s service center on several occasions, I found his work to be excellent, reliable, affordable and completed on schedule. I know Stan to be a man of his word, if an issue is bought to his attention, he will address it in a prompt manner. I know him to be a person willing to work with you to find a solution to your car problems. I strongly recommend his services to any one in need of getting their car repaired

Stan's service center is one of a kind. I came here to get my BMW serviced. I was quoted 3500$ at another establishment. Stan got it done the same day for 2000$ saving me 1500$! The service was professional and honest. I was so impressed that I decided to write a review. Im also in the process of buying a second vehicle through Stan. He offers an amazing vehicle concierge service. I really recommend Stan service center! You cant go wrong

Stan is awesome welcoming guy, very straight forward and the work was very professional. I blew my tire and bent my rim on the way to work. Luckily I was a few hundred feet away from Stan s. They assessed the damage and in less than 24 hours my car was ready with a rim and tire for a great price. Strongly recommend going here for auto repairs or an emergency fix. Thanks again Stan!

I've lived in this area for three years, bought an old Honda and was looking for a mechanic to service it... I was lucky to find a place in walking distance, keeping my fingers crossed that it would work out :). Well the car has needed service a few times and every time the problem was fixed in a timely manner and a reasonable price, compared to the quotes from the dealer! Would recommend Stan's service center to anyone!!

This place is the best! I got a flat on my way to school and took my car to Stan's to get it replaced. They ordered the tire and had it changed within a few hours, and they were so nice! I can't thank them enough! Highly recommend!!!

When I first moved to South Orange I was looking for a reliable place to get my car serviced. I've gotten oil changes here multiple times now, and each time I've received quick, professional, and personable service. Just a great neighborhood spot with affordable pricing, would recommend!

I took my car here yesterday, after I was recommended by someone in the area. My car was shutting off and the fan stayed on while parked, Stan said it need a thermometer or something in that context.I Left my car overnight. I was called and informed my car was ready so I paid $186.60 and left drove around the block and parked my car only to realize it has the same issue I took it back within 20 mins and I was told when they fixed the car it was working well . I ll need to give them $750+ labor charge for them to fix it yet again. Just like that I got scammed out of almost $200. But GOD IS IN CHARGE.

I was visiting New Jersey from Florida last week when my Jaguar XJL broke down on me. Stan went above and beyond to get my car back on the road. I am with "screwing his customers". I had to return 3 times to fix knock sensors. When I requested he shows me the receipt he indeed purchased the new parts, he told me to hit the road. He would not release my car until I bring him cash. I ended up calling cops and taking the car somewhere else, but not until after visits with Stan cost me me $550.

They are exceptional been coming to this shop bf or a while and being that it s my 2nd year relocating to New Jersey they ve been the only shop I ve gone to and trust with my vehicles and to give me a genuinely good price. I recommend them to anyone who is the south orange nj or New Jersey area in general. They are always helpful whenever I am in a bind with my car. The mechanics are customer service friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Their work is professional, dependable and efficient. I definitely recommend them.
