Mike and Ali were amazing . The service you get when you walk through the door is worth 10 stars. I was in and out in about an hour or 2 keys in hand .I purchased the ford flex . They go above and beyond . I m definitely going to recommend to everyone I know

Shame I can t give 10 stars! This place is phenomenal. My Sister bought her dream car here today. We had the pleasure of dealing with Mitch and Nadir and we couldn t be happier. From pulling into the lot to leaving with my Sisters new car was seamless. The professionalism and knowledge you experience here is nothing we ve come across elsewhere and I know where I ll be coming when it s time to trade my vehicle in. Thank you Payless Car Sales!!! First please let me state that purchasing a home or vehicle these days for a single mother is beyond stressful! However Mike and his team worked aroujnd the clock to assist me with a quick and accurate listing for purchase and I could not be more grateful! Mike is precise, comforting and an absolute angel in my life. He responded to an online web submission where I voiced what I had to spend and the services offered provided me with ease and comfort. I would like to add as well, Mike stood by his word since the first conversation providing an immediate fix to a stereo issue unidentified prior to finalizing payment. Mike not only assisted but he scheduled to have the best apply car play installed without hesitation. I recommend Payless Car Sales and Mike at the HIGHEST regard! You will not be disappointment, however, will leave with a sense of relief and trust in a new vehicle! Great place to purchase and ask for my man MIKE! Absolutely the best in NJ!!!!! I applied and was in my vehicle within 1 hour! Everyone was super friendly and eager to help! I had a really pleasant experience buying a car here here. I ve never bought a car that was older than 2010 and these guys hooked it up. I was nervous at first but they made sure I was totally happy with the car I chose. I got a 2020 Kia sportage and I love it so much. Thank you Payless Car Sales!

Overdue for a 5-star review. I have been dealing with Payless for years, and have bought several cars here. Tamer & company do a great job. There is a lot of inventory, they work with a lot of banks...just a good experience.What is most important when buying a used car, is researching year make and model of that car, as well as taking a good look at that specific car on the lot. Payless is a used car dealership and as such they sell cars that are usually out of warranty. Used cars may have received varying levels of "love" throughout their lives. I urge anyone looking to take out a loan on a used vehicle that you research that vehicle, so that you do not regret your purchase.

Tamer was my salesperson who sold me my 2020 Nissan Rogue and he was great! Manager Mike even approved a new set of tires, a new air vent which had been missing plus some FREE oil changes! Wow these guys are awesome! Highly recommend AAA+++

I'm sure all the "good" reviews are from these people's relatives. Cars, they have a lot. Professionalism is what they lack.It took them 6 weeks, to give me my license plates. I made two trips to the PD and filed a complaint as well. Do I recommend them, 'uck no!!"Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice "

Payless car sales Is the best dealership I have ever worked with They did my finance paperwork in 20 minutes I got approved two hours Later I drove the car right out of the dealership. They are the best and most professional car dealership in New Jersey South Amboy I highly recommend them to anyone they have 15 different finance companies, 90% of all loans will be approved

Arguably one of the best car dealers in NJ. The staff was incredibly professional, kind, and relatable - it felt much more than a business. As someone who works in Sales, I m personally skeptical of sales professionals in other industries; this was the only dealership that appeased my hesitation. Go to them!

This is a scam. They sold me a car that is was flooded.I got the car in the week before Christmas telling the salesman TAMER that i will check the car with my mechanic after christmas.Next day i heard some noises and i reported with Tamer. He told me to get in contact with the mechanic which is a very nice guy and tried to help me. He changed the struts and talk to the owner about some electronic codes are showing in the computer, the owner replied to him that I signed a paper AS IS.I had to wait after the new year because everybody was on vacation. When i spoke to TAMER he said that it wasn't his fault that i p/u the car in the night and i signed 'as is' contract and do I expect from a USED car, so he failed his word about 1 month warranty.Now the car has electronics parts that didn't work, and the car stopped everywhere. The car was flooded.The owner never called me or try to help. Very bad experience.Be careful on buying cars from these unprofessional people. Totally SCAM

Had a wonderful experience over the long weekend in purchasing a used vehicle for myself. Everyone we had contact with was polite & helpful.We worked with Tamer who was very knowledgeable about cars & auto sales.I was able to get into a great used vehicle within my budget at a fair price! We also did our final paperwork with Mike who was awesome! I was able to get the lowest rate on financing, even lower than all the other quotes I had found myself. I would definitely buy a car from Payless again. Great experience. Thank you Payless!!

Bought a Jeep Patriot. They sell their warranty, which is 1000% a scam. They don't fix anything, and ask for reciepts for oil changes to fix non mechanical problems. Brought my truck to Thrust, and they were the ones who informed me the warranty they sell is a scam. Will never use again.Edit: It wasn't 6 years when i tried using it. It was 2.

Bought a Prius from here because I thought I was getting a pretty good deal. Listing didn't mention any issues. He told me everything inside the car worked, after buying it and taking it home the nav screen didn't work ($300 fix), window motor has issues, and the A/C doesn't work correctly. For the exterior, I was worried about the condition of the tire tread and he said they don't let anything leave the lot if it would not pass inspection, guess what, it failed inspection and I have to fix a seized caliper, buy new rotors and brake pads, and new tires because 3/4 tires failed inspection. One of the calipers was even missing a guide pin so it rubbed against the wheel the entire way home. I'm only thankful it mechanically works well. Also, expect to wait at least half a month to get your registration. I get that its a used car and there's bound to be something wrong but at least tell the customer what to expect instead of staying quiet, or use the garage that's attached to dealership to fix a few of these deficiencies. If I was looking for a project car I would have went to Facebook Marketplace.Would not recommend to be honest find a different dealership.

Okay, so here we go: I left an extremely more than satisfactory review after I got my car from here. I would like to clear some things up. First and foremost, I was very excited about getting my car. They also asked me to leave them a good review. Which is no big deal, if they are deserving of it. The night I purchased my jeep, I dealt with Tamer and Mitch. Yes they were very nice, but they are salesman - so of course they are nice until you pull out of the parking lot. Yes they made the purchase smooth and quick since I was in desperate need of a car and was in a bad situation. I was able to leave with the car 9:30pm on the same night of the purchase which made things easier since I lived over an hour away. Not even 10 minutes after leaving Payless Auto Sales, I was on the GSP and when I would accelerate on the gas pedal, the whole car would jerk when it was shifting gears. I was terrified the whole hour & 20 minute drive home. I called Tamer right away and he advised me to call tomorrow during regular business hours and they will fix whatever issue the car had. I made an appointment with the mechanic for the following week. He quickly looked at it and advised me that the problem seems to be an issue with the computer system in the jeep and I would have to make an appointment with an actual jeep dealership to get to the bottom of it. What???? How did that have any relevance to the issue I am having? I was not happy with that answer so the mechanic advised that the office manager was away and there was nothing that could be done until he returned on Monday. So between gas/tolls/and driving 2 1/2 hours back and forth that day was all for nothing. Starting on Monday, I called the office over and over to speak with the office manager to no avail. So, I drove back down there on Wednesday and walked in the managers office. He was there along with all my post it notes with my name and phone number right on top of his desk in plain view for me to see. So it was a little difficult to deny that he did not know I was calling. At that time it had been almost 2 weeks and my 30 day warranty was running out. Do you see where I m going with this? I was also leaving to Florida for vacation and I needed my car situation to be rectified before I left. Of course, there was nothing that could be done until I returned. But, the office manager promised that although the warranty was going to be expired , between him, his mechanic and myself-we would test drive the car and get to the root of the problem when I returned. Did Mike answer or return my phone calls when I got back from Florida? Nope, not one. Since I ve had this car, I had to get: 4 new tires. (I was told they were brand new when I purchased the car. The inside of the tires were completely bald.) I needed new spark plugs, new breaks and rotars as well as a tune up. My axle is all messed up underneath the car. And I was in desperate need for new rear bearings or my tires could lock at any given time while driving I was told..I also cannot get a tire alignment until that was done. So in conclusion, all this car has been is a money pit. It is a 2018 jeep compass. I was not looking to drive away with everything in perfect condition. But I cannot believe that someone would allow another human being who has two small children to drive off your lot in a car that you know is dangerous to drive. I would never refer anyone to this place. They do not follow through on what they say. They ignore your phone calls. They push everything off until your crap out of luck.Again, if my situation wasn t so urgent I would have never dealt with them. With sooo many used car dealerships out there, I highly recommend choosing ANY other one.

Amazingly easy, stress-free service :). We were helped by Tamer & Mitch and couldn't be happier with the experience. We were coming in with a dire need for a vehicle and a lot of weight on our shoulders because we were having such a difficult time finding a reliable one with our less than perfect credit scores. Tamer & Mitch were angels, helping us from beginning to end. They made us feel very welcomed and at ease and they made the process quick and simple. They worked with us and made it so we could leave with our truck that day. They even stayed late so we could finish the process! We're so thankful for them and our new truck. I've personally never had such a great experience at a car lot. And our new truck is awesome! Absolutely will buy our next car from here. Thank you so much Payless, Tamer, and Mitch!
