I want to express great gratitude from our family to the owner of John Auto Center. Singh is very fair, hardworking, skilled auto mechanic and just a fun and good person. He helped us in a difficult time for us by taking my husband to his Center for work and gave us a car. Singh always gave us wise advice. I sincerely recommend that you contact John Auto Center so that your car is always in good condition. High-level licensed specialists work there.John Auto Center - Your car is in safe hands.

So happy to have found this place! Singh is extremely honest, professional and knowledgeable . He always takes the time to explain any details. They have never held me up with my car and are always willing to help. Chris is always kind and helpful as well books the appointments super quick. Thank you both for your services. I m glad I have had found people that care and that more importantly I can trust!!!

Came here after I was told that there was a leak in my power steering when getting my oil changed elsewhere. John took a thorough look and reassured me that there was nothing wrong or to be fixed. I felt happy knowing I could come here if i needed to again and not be ripped off. Great people and service.

Friendly and efficient service. Also extremely honest. Work was done quickly and they were extremely transparent. Showed me everything that needed to be worked on. They also quoted me way less than anyone else for the job (I needed new brakes for my Subaru Impreza). I m talking $300 less! So that really was a huge relief. I m extremely impressed and will definitely return when I need other work done. Thank you!!

My daughter's car wouldn't start in South Amboy - roadside assistance came and tried to jump it, but told us it was probably the starter. We had it towed to John's at the recommendation of our daughter's boyfriend's father, who has known the owner for many years. We tow it there at 7pm on Saturday Dec 23, figuring we would have to leave the car until after Christmas. However, they are still working inside the shop and tell us to go to Autozone, buy a new starter and battery, and they will replace them right away so we don't have to come back to pick up the car. Less than 2 hours later, they finish the repair, and we drive off with our car, all at a very reasonable price. Such good people, and I'm still shocked they were working on a Saturday evening, and then stopped their work to fix our car. Obviously, I can't say enough about John's Auto and the service we received.

I don t usually give reviews, but this place is so awesome I felt compelled to and wish I could pick them up and move them to Wisconsin back with me! Surjit gets 5 stars from me for being Fast, fair, friendly and reliable.

Went in for a simple oil change. Came back to pick up my car the next day and the battery was dead. Then, 2 days later I found a old windshield wiper that was Jammed under the hood by the windshield. Im lucky it didnt make its way into the engine belts. Never bringing my car back there again. I brought my car here because it's closer than Barry's auto. Guess I'll be going back to Barry's.

Johns Auto Center is a great place! Needed my A/C compressor replaced and Johns did it the same day I brought the car in. Singh the mechanic was fast,knowledgeable and professional. He charged me a very fair price for his services. Any time in the future that I have car troubles Johns is where I will be bringing my car. Highly recommended!

I brought my car with a part that needed replacing, they got it done in less than an hour. I was told to take it for a test drive after they were done to make sure everything was working well and I'm very happy to say it is! I would highly recommend this place and Singh, who's very friendly and knowledgeable! I'll definitely come back for any future issues that may come up!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I ve used John s auto since I started driving. The most important part of an auto shop is truthful and honest guys working on your car, and these are stand up guys. Always take care of me in a pinch and take care of my family. VERY fairly priced compared to the quality work they do, 10/10

John s Auto Center is great. The guys there take time to explain things and ensure you are happy.Originally I took my car to a local auto dealership and was told my 2016 car was not worth fixing. Recently moved to the neighborhood and I needed a local shop to do repairs and maintenance on my vehicle. 1st experience I had was pulling up because I had a nail in my tire and I didn't want to remove it until I was at a shop in case I needed my tire repaired. They removed the nail for free which was so short it didn't puncture anything. Been back 2x more for oil change/coolant flush and for a skid plate to be replaced for my fuel tank. Every experience at this shop has been an enjoyable one. Work is quick but not rushed, staff is friendly and personable and the price is always right.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The mechanic I had been going to for 10 years retired and I no longer had a trusted shop to go to. John Auto Center is my new place. Singh is very welcoming and approachable. I explained the issue and that I had the parts already. He quickly assessed the work and gave me a reasonable quote for the labor. Even though it was the afternoon and he had other cars to work on, he found a way to fit me in that day. Once he was done with the job he called me to come pick up the car. He showed me that I had two nails in my front tires but thankfully they had not caused a leak. A less honest shop would have used it to charge for a plug or even a new tire. Singh and his team are hard working, knowledgeable and fair. I will definitely be coming back.

I've never been to this shop before. They came highly recommended so I gave them a call. I then went in and talked to Singh directly the end of last week. I told him about the electrical problems my RAM truck was experiencing . He was confident He could find the problem and we set up a appointment for today (Monday) for tow truck to drop off. I met Chris this morning at the shop and gave him the low down on problems and pointed out some of the things I had checked and found. I got a call from Singh and asked if I could come down to the shop at 6:30 pm. That didn't sound good was expecting bad news. As I was walking in he started my truck. I am so dam happy! He proceed to show me the things that had caused the problems(all problems were caused by Buhler Dodge service depart) and repairs that were made. He also gave me back all the bad parts. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Will never take my vehicles any where else. Fast service at reasonable prices.Service: Electrical repair

This is the best mechanic around and a very great part of the community. They are open, transparent, , honest, and very quick at diagnosing and solving your car issues. Before you go to your dealership, or even after, check in with John's for a first or second opinion. The staff is wonderful and the owner goes out of his way to ensure best quality of service. 5 stars isn't enough. Singh s the only mechanic I trust. I always know he s going to make sure my car and I are taken care of, he s always extremely honest and fair on price, and you never feel like you re being taken advantage of like at other shops.When I went in, an older woman who didn t need any work done in her car was confused about a letter she got from the dmv. It has nothing to do with John s Auto but nonetheless he helped her for a while and made sure she didn t leave there in a panic about her paperwork.Quality people with quality service!

This shop endeavors to please. I have been to numerous other places and this is the best. After more than ten years, I will not take my vehicle anywhere else. Mr Singh and Chris will provide an honest diagnosis and effective solutions. Let them guide you through the auto maintenance and repair process. Loved my experience here. John is very nice and helpful. The first mechanic I ve ever been too and will go to him for any problems I have with my car. I was struggling to find the problem for my oil leaking out and he helped me right as I walked in along with other questions and concerns I had. Totally recommend, Thanks again John!

Go to John s Auto Center and be sure to work with Surjit! He is a great guy and ready to help with all your auto needs. The shop and crew work very effectively and he provides the best advice for any situation. Best mechanic i know in jersey and new york.Its hard to find honest and great mechanic shops now days but i have full trust in Johns Auto Center. Never disappointed me!

I am completely blown away by the customer service at John's! I brought my car in today for the first time because my check engine light came on, which is always stressful. They had it diagnosed in less than a half hour with assurance that they would be able to look at it the next day. To my suprise they called me after hours to tell me that my car was done. I am so very grateful for their willingness to help, even though I brought my car in late in the day. They were friendly and Singh was kind enough to bring me into the shop and explain what he did to my car. They could have easily saddled me with a large bill like other places do, but they did not. In this day and age generosity is a lost art, but I was so very touched by the willingness to help without any ulterior motives. I will be recommending this place to my friends and family, and I will certainly be back in the future for any other repairs that I may need!!
