Corbo s is my go to auto shop. They are always straight with me and give me a fair price. I dropped my muddy truck off in a snow storm for new front breaks which they did for a 1/3rd of what the dealership wanted to charge me, and they washed my truck in the snow! Really honest, hard working, above and beyond people here at Corbo s. Can t recommend enough.

My daughter s Pathfinder needed some work done because it suddenly stopped running. We had it towed to two different mechanics. Neither could fix the truck or even tell us what was wrong with it. A friend of mine recommended we have it towed to Corbos in Somerville. Finally someone who knows what they re doing . Larry was able to tell me what was wrong with it the same day he looked at it. He gave me an estimate of how much it would cost so obviously I needed time to think about it and shop around for the best price. Larry had no problem being patient and waiting for me to decide if I wanted him to go ahead and fix it. Turns out the vehicle needed a new motor, an alternator, a battery and a couple other things. After shopping around I found out that his price was very fair. He even added in a couple of things at no additional cost. Corbo s reassured us that they back their work and we can call him if we have any issue with the work done anytime. My daughter has her truck back and is very happy. The Pathfinder is running better than it did when we first got it. We definitely recommend Corbo s and if future mechanical work is needed will definitely go back.

I brought my vehicle here for the first time to have a major mechanical job done. The communication was great, the mechanic was fully transparent with the estimated price. They had a relatively low turnaround time for the work involved, and the result was perfect. I will definitely be back!

Never had an issue going to mechanic shop. Very reputable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I ve went here mutliple times to get my own car parts installed on my Mazda vehicles. Labor cost is relatively cheap.

The owner is rude. Specially over the phone. You can't ask him questions pertaining your towed vehicle to confirm arrival to make sure he has all information. To know who to contact to pay him for his services. He just says I dont have time for this and hangs up. Don't call just show up. I will never bring my vehicles here again. Customer service is unprofessional. Def. Do not recommend unless, you like being yelled at and hanged up.

Called to get an estimate for some repairs and the worker who answered was condescending and unhelpful, sounded like he could not bother to do his job and didn t believe me when I told him what was wrong with my car. Why would I then trust them to do honest work on my car?

Just recently had my car serviced at Corbos. As usual I am totally satisified with the service and the terrific mechanics.Larry the owner explained what was needed and had to be done. I had dropped the car off the night before so in the morning they could hear the problem. The work was completed early the following day and I'm a happy man.The charges were very reasonable and fair. Honesty and integrity are the foundation of Corbos.Service: Steering & suspension repairService: Steering & suspension repair

Came to Corbo's for help with my 2005 Mustang GT. I was in need of a rear-differential rebuild (LSD, Ring and Pinion gears). My car has 235k miles on original parts so I'm not shocked that the repairs needed to be done. Had the issue diagnosed at another local Bridgewater garage not far from Corbo's and was told the only solution they would provide was a full rear-end (axles and everything) replacement that would be over $3,600.00. I knew I could get OEM Ford parts for the rebuild for just a few hundred dollars so I was very confused why this was my "only option". I called Corbo's and discussed the issue with Larry. He said they did rear-differential rebuilds all the time and said unless there were other circumstances he couldn't see the point in replacing the whole rear axle assembly. I do a lot of work on my car but a rear-differential rebuild required tools I just don't have at home. But, the best part was Corbo's was fine with me buying the Ford Performance parts I wanted for the rebuild and they would complete the install. I used LMR for the parts, they shipped to Corbo's directly. Larry called me when everything was in and did the whole installation in less than a day. Even with the right tools it would have been a whole weekend job for me. Car runs great, still breaking in the new gears for the 1st 100 miles but so far it's like a new car.So after 3+ years at that other Bridgewater motor place I think I will be going back to Corbo's for any other repairs my pony might need. Keeping an 18 year old car running can take a lot but it's great to know there are still skilled mechanics that can work on cars and diagnose problems not just replace parts till the problem goes away.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Terrible customer service over the phone. Called to inquire and the person on the other end was very unpleasant and hung up! Unprofessional

I was impressed with the courteous and efficient service. I was notified via text with a clear, itemized estimated cost and asked for approval prior to the start of work. A similar notification came when work was completed and online payment was simple! Will definitely use them again and recommend.

i have been here 3 times now for tire service, but will now avoid this place, and so should you.my experience - 1st visit was average, and while there where things i didn't like too much, and while it wasn't great, but wasn't absolutely terrible. so i went there again in a month or two. long story short - they damaged two of my tires, wouldn't admit that they did, and asked me to watch tech mounting a my wheel, so i had an opportunity to see how they tried to dismount the wheel, and fail 3 times causing damage to the bead on opposite side of already destroyed tire as pry bar kept skipping, and ripping chunks of rubber.now, my tires were in good working condition 2yrs old not dry, but used, so that makes easy for them to blame it on this fact, even though i proved them wrong in many ways, no one could answer me any simple question about this failure, and now i have no doubt it was caused by this shop.and finally, why should you avoid this.1. not using correct tools - wheels also need to be torqued to spec, by special tool, not just power tools.2. not following manufacturers requirements - it takes zero extra time for tech to check sticker on door jam for tire pressure, as he drives the car into the shop anyway. therefore, incorrect tire pressure also will cause damage.3.no respect for your car - they just casually lean against your car with greasy hand for no reason leaving marks on clean body panels.4. they make up prices as they go - i had same job done on same car, same wheel, same tire - they charged me different amount every time. oh, and don't you dare to ask for an invoice, they get mad at you for such thing.Service: Tires

When my daughter turned 17, and needed to pick where she would take her truck for service, she chose Corbo s. She felt comfortable that Larry would be honest, and help her with the process of maintaining her vehicle.Larry has done just that. He explains every service to her, never tries to oversell anything, and my daughter knows she is being treated fairly.

After my go to mechanics close their shop one of them (Helder) came to work here, so I followed him and the service remains the same, Excellent! The prices are fair, the staff very knowledgeable and the quality of work is nothing great. But, the main reason I use this shop is because they are honest. They have never asked me to change something that didn't need changing or forced an unnecessary service on me.

Nasty and rude. Won t give you an answer, especially if you re a female. Assuming we don t know about vehicles? Well sir, I happen to be an aircraft mechanic, so thanks for the info and help. Just a simple answer was all I needed. You didn t have to go into explaining the whole anatomy of a car. In this case, I ll do it MYSELF.Sincerely,A Woman.

Brought my truck to them to repair the engine. I had already diagnosed the engine light via scan tool and left fairly in depth notes. They had the vehicle for two days only to tell me they weren't interested in completing the repair leaving me slightly dumfounded. I ended up bringing the vehicle to another local mechanic who quickly diagnosed the problem and completed the repair for a fair cost even making repairs to instead of replacing parts for a good deal of savings.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Great shop! It s hard finding a mechanic that s personable, fair and well priced so I was very happy to find Corbos! Being a younger female there s always anxiety when going to get car work done because there s always this feeling of being seen as naive/having a lack of knowledge on my own vehicle but from the first phone call to dropping my car off to driving off I could not be happier with my experience here! I had shopped around and the quote from here was unbeatable! Overall the atmosphere, price, availability and person-ability will be bringing me back here for all of my car needs. Thank you guys!

I've been using these guys since I got my first car about 15 years ago. After getting screwed by a couple other places, I don't bother with anyone else anymore. Great quality work, very fair pricing, quick turnaround, and HONEST!!! Larry can be a little brusque sometimes, but he's really an awesome person.Years ago, they kept my beaten up little Nissan Sentra for two weeks and did all sorts of crazy stuff to figure out what was wrong with it (oil changes, drove it for hours, all sorts of testing, etc.). I'd had them change the cam shaft sensor 3 or 4 times already and clearly there was a bigger issue. At the time, Larry told me what his diagnosis was: bad timing chain (not the same thing as a timing belt, should not have gone bad ever, let alone on a 6 to 7 year old car) but that it really shouldn't have gone bad so he didn't feel right charging me /-$1000 to change it without the dealer confirming it. I was really young and in a tight place financially, and he handed the car back to me without charging me for all those hours testing. Dealer said it was nonsense (because they didn't want to be responsible for an expensive repair that was a manufacturing defect) but it eventually turned out that there actually was an issue with the timing chain in that year run of Sentras and Larry was right!Love this shop, I recommend them to everyone!

I've been to corbos a couple of times with two different vehicles, my first visit was not so bad and the prices were reasonable as I kept coming in I didn't realize that if you have a vehicle that's 20 years old they are really going to charge you big and hard for any work they do on it, so I'm at the point where I'm paying basically the same rate that I was paying at a dealership, the big difference is there's no loaner cars here, so what started out as a great relationship just turned into the same thing, extremely high labor prices I know everything is going up now but there's a point where It's become unreasonable.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Auto engine diagnostic

Very poor communication. Make sure you get everything in writing and confirm when they will be closed and when you can pick up your vehicle before leaving your keys with them.

We had to bring our car in during the pandemic, and Larry went above and beyond to ensure pick up and drop off was completely contactless. Larry was also honest about what we needed to fix and replace, and he had our car fixed quickly.

We have a 5 speed Toyota Corolla with almost 200k miles that needed its clutch rebuilt for the second time in its life. They are courteous and accommodating with very convenient hours of operation including Saturday's.Corbos Automotive did the repair faster and Almost $600 dollars less than Bridgewater Motor Works did the first time the clutch was rebuilt several years prior.Larry and Moto are great to do business with.We also have a 2009 Mazda 6 which needed a new catalytic converter to pass emissions inspection.Larry and Moto again were excellent to do buisiness with.I feel confident I payed a fair price and got excellent service and quality work.Regards,Dan
