I lived in Branchburg for 35 years and used Alan and Son for decades. I moved to Maine 2 years ago. About two weeks ago I had my tires rotated and oil changed here in Maine before the long drive to visit to friends in NJ. While in NJ, I heard a loud scraping noise under my car. This was at about 11:15 AM on a Saturday AM. We saw a plastic panel hanging down, rubbing the ground at low speed, staying mostly up at highway speed. I called Alan & Son and told my story... past customer, moved, recent oil change, etc. He fit me in on short notice! It seems my shop in Maine failed to tighten the 4 screws holding the plastic access panel for the oil drain plug, and two loose screws fell out during the 500 mile drive. YUK! Alan took the damaged panel off, told me it was perfectly fine to drive, and did not want payment! I gave him some $s for lunch or whatever anyway. Alan and Son is IMHO THE BEST!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Alan is the best auto mechanic in the area. I had a flat tire last week and Alan and his team were able to help me right away. Then, two days later, my wife got a flat tire on the highway. Again, I called Alan and he was there to help. He helped me pick out the right tire and got the repair done the same day. Incredible service. We've been using Alan for years and wouldn't go anywhere else.Services: Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Outstanding mechanic, who is routinely honest and trustworthy. Anytime I have an issue with my car I call Alan right away, knowing he will take care of me. The past few times I've been at Alan's he exceeded my expectations with the amazing quality of work provided. I had taken my 2 year old car to the Open Road dealer in Bridgewater. Aside from being extremely rude and unprofessional, they wanted to charge me a leg and a half to fix my car. I decided to take it to Alan & Son and they solved the issue quickly, professionally and fairly priced. I recommend this place. No non-sense and no bells and whistles. Just get your car fixed. Period.

My family and I have been their customers for over a decade. Even if you're not car savvy, you can put your mind at ease that they will not try to take advantage of you. They will diagnose and fix only what is needed and/or what you tell them to fix/maintain. Alan is very nice and willing to work with you to make sure everything is how you want it. They really don't charge much for the service.I didn't feel ripped off and I feel like he did a good job on the car. Two thumbs up.

Outstanding service, very reasonable rates. Replaced the entire radiator on our Camry. Could have done same day, but we had conflicting appointments. Did on a Saturday morning. Highly recommended. Auto care can be very "hit or miss". Alan and Son is a real "hit"!

My family's vehicles are all serviced here, and the service is outstanding. Making a experience positive is understanding that as a quality auto center when I leave my vehicle there I don't worry . And I never call asking if it's done yet patience is key when it's done and tested he will call . Thank you Alan
