Took my 98 mustang Cobra there a week ago and am so thrilled with the results! It's had a problem with a high idle from a tune the previous owner did. They tried everything and found it was chip tuned and got it running right for me which no one else has been able to do! The guys are great to talk to and clear and communicative the whole way through. Would recommend anyone to take their car there

This review is way overdue, however it doesn't make it any less applicable. Al and the guys over here know what they are doing, they really take their time to do everything right. The were able to diagnose my computer issue and recommend options on both ends of the affordability scale. I never once felt pressured to make a costly decision or make modifications I wasn't comfortable with. The car never ran as well as it does after letting them work their magic. Thanks again Al and everyone at Fonse Performance for taking care of the Mustang! Stay Safe!

After messaging many other tuners with no response. We reached out to Fonse performance and immediately got a response and on their schedule. Great people! Very happy with the results and all the expertise!! Will bring all my cars here from now on!

Communication was not the best starting out, but Jr gave me his personal number and made sure to keep in touch as soon as he found out i was not getting a call back after a week. Truly great customer service and got everything i asked for. Could not ask for bettwr results.

My neighbor spoke very highly of fonse performance, also about the father and son. I called the shop spoke to jr and he asked details about my build and what my plans are. Jr is very knowledgeable about what he does. When I brought my truck in for a tune everyone at the shop was nice friendly and polite. It was an experience to have them dyno my truck. During the dyno process jr explained in great detail everything he was doing what graph did what and what his next approach was to make power in my truck. After tuning my truck. I was beyond blown away by the night and day difference in how my truck felt and drove. I highly recommend to have jr and his years upon years of experience to either build u a motor or to tune your car truck boat or toys. On a side note I could of gone back to my home town and got my tune done and would of paid next to nothing. I Went to jr instead not only for the experience he has but out The of loyalty that my neighbor has for jr s shop and his family. I will be back for future tunes and projects. 10/10 shop.

Had a 1969 442 engine redone at Fonze Performance. Al Sr and Jr could not have been nicer. I received photos and videos as the work was being done and I was invited to stop by any time to see the progress. The work was top notch the engine could not perform any better and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone who wants more from their engine.Thanks guys, you ve made the driving experience better than it ever was.

Where to start, awesome shop very talented crew at Fonse. I deal with Al Jr he is a master at what he does and the best tuner around. The crew have installed mega squirt 2 and tuned my 92 supercharge mustang gt two years ago, and still havent had any problems with it. They have installed efi source and tuned my 91 turbo mustang a year ago, never had a problem. Fonse's crew have always been great people to deal with and I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else. Fonse and his crew know their stuff and can tune anything to make great power, to have great driveability, and be very reliable. Great work done in a timely manner. I have had machine work to tuning done, they've done it all for me. They treat you like your a part of there own family.

Customer service post rebuild was awful and downright none existent. Was told my pcv system was fixed . In reality they botched it leaving breathers open with no filters to crankcase. Car idles rough as well due to vacuum leaks they failed to address. Fuel supply lines to the fuel rails were hooked up improperly and nearly popped off on me.

I went to Fonse for a crankshaft polish and balance and also for my piston rings to be filed and really had a great experience having them do the work. Very knowledgeable and kind staff. Had a small issue (not with Fonse or related to any of the work they did) and Al was more than happy to assist me and a solution was found in no time at all. If you need anything done, Fonse is the right place to go.

You re not going to deal with a better group of guys. My twin turbo c6 vette had problems on the dyno two weeks in a row(all my fault) and never once did I feel pressured. Jr. worked with me every step of the way, explained things that no other tuner will, and treated us like we were family. The experience at fonse isn t like every other tuner in the area, where they want to get you in and get you out. These guys really want to do everything they can to make sure you leave with a smile on your face and a car that is performing it s best. I can t recommend them enough. Bring your car here. Make crazy power. You will not be disappointed.

Brought in a mystery cammed car. No idea as far as cam, lifters, or what. Needed a custom tune to run. Not only did Jr get it tuned, but it runs better now then it ever did!!!! Excellent service, excellent attitude. Couldn't have asked for a better place to bring my dodge charger. I will definitely be going to them again.

Do NOT bring your car here. Al junior and senior do NOT stay true to their word. They originally were very confident about fixing my Ford Mustang Cobra and shook my hand saying we don t do warranties but we treat our customers like family- your like one of us now. . I unfortunately trusted them.I paid a sum of $6500 to this company plus I paid $1700 to a company they use to pull the motor and did not have my car from January until July. During these 6 months I called frequently and was constantly told we will get back to you . I then visited the shop multiple times and was disappointed to see no work had started on my car and was told each time they were backed up and my car was next on the list. By April I was extremely frustrated and demanded they start working on my car. After finally rebuilding the motor they did not drain the supercharger which caused metal buildup in the motor. Despite all the money I handed them and time I spent without my car it is not fixed. They have now decided they are not willing to continue to work on my car and are not willing to give ANY refund. They also stated And if your thinking of getting a lawyer we have all our bases covered and you will not win . Al, is this how you would treat your family? I came to you and put my trust in you. I guess that was my mistake. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. I am out all of my hard earned money and had to pay to have my car towed out today. Beyond disappointed.

All I can say is awesome!!! Great guys and great price. The results were amazing. Al really out did it with my car. My 02 camaro feels like a totally different animal. I totally recommend for anyone who really wants to know the full potential of what their car has. Thanks again guys!!!

highly recommend Fonse Performance. Al Jr tuned my Impala SS with and LS 6.0 swap and wokeit up big time. Jr showed me what he did while I was there. did pulls on the dyno and power kept increasing. Very nice guy

I've been waiting along time to finally get my car dynoed tuned and after tons of research and phone calls I found this place from the help of a mechanic shop called kaspers korner, I've spoken to the guy Keith here for about a month trying to pick a day that works with my schedule an he was very accommodating and patient, so I finally make it down here and I met with the tuner AL or jr. Some people may call him and he was extremely cool he was just as excited about tuning my car as i was for getting it done he let me take videos and pics as he worked his magic he showed me what the car was doing wrong and how he corrected it to make sure she was running 100% truly a great and knowledgeable guy I just found my tuner for the future of my mustang!! If you dont know about fonse look them up!! No complaints here so far so good great first impression!!

I would not recommend fonse performance to any one. They start out to be really nice guys and make u feel like they really just want to build you a quality build and work with you but that s is not the case! I sent my boat engine there to be built, had everything done the recommended and it blew up twice. First time it had 60 percent leak in the intake valves and second time after there fix it droped a valve seat in the cylinder and damaged the cyclinder piston and the heads. I took it back the second time and it has been there since September and nothing has been done! The engine has not even moved from the spot I left it in September. They get you in to take you money then give you a shabby build that will be quoted at 1 price, then the build will be twice the amount when you go to pick it up.There is no communication and they are very ignorant to there mistake, They built me a boat anchor not a boat engine! If you have money to throw away this is the place to go but i still wouldn t recommend these guys to anyone!

I had taken my motor to be rebuilt . Jr did the work. It took longer than they said it would. When I turned the car on i discovered an oil leak. I took the pan down and inside were 2 counter weights at the bottom. Also the valves were touching the top of the pistons. As a result I had I had to have motor rebuilt and rebalanced by someone else. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Work was snappy and resulted in my spending more than I had to.Ray Lugo

Such a great experience coming to see fonse! First time getting my car tuned ( 2014 camaro ss ) , and he did a fantastic job! Not only did a good job, but went to the next level and actually showed and explained everything he was doing. I would 100% recommended anybody to come here and see fonse! Thank you again so much!

Great guys! Jr. was great to work with and was very helpful in working with me to repair and prep my LS3 block and heads. He was very open on where to spend vs where to save and helped me not blow my budget out of the water. Even during the COVID crisis, he got my work done and my engine back to me. He is very knowledgeable as he has been doing this his entire life. Solid resource especially when the internet will make your head spin with all the expert "internet mechanics" differing opinions. They have just about anything needed to build chevy and ford performance engines. Awesome shop! As soon as I get my engine back together I will be headed back for him to lay down a solid tune on their mustang dyno. Awesome job, solid work, friendly, and honest. Thanks again!

Had 2 engines built ... small block ford and a LS turbo .. went through both combos with me and took the time to meet my HP needs.. best part was... everything is done at one shop .. nothing left ... most can't say that! ... the build and tunning is done by Jr. No better person to tune then the builder! Thank you for a great experience! Definitely will be back !!!

I have delt with Fonse Performance and they are great.. worked on my car with numerous issues i was having with it.. they tuned my turbo car and it made great power with having a safe tune. They are building a new motor for me now and make you feel like and friend and family. Always answer any questions i have with the build and try to help with everything im trying to accomplish. They invite you to the track to see how everything is and i seen them take the time with people that are beginners to the sport and help them the best they can. They have always gone the extra mile for me and its hard now a days for a shop to be like that.. they work long nights at the shop and are willing to help anyway they can.... nothing but good things to say from here...

Fonse performance is your one stop shop for all machine work for automotive, boats, anything, and they will handle all your performance needs on top of that. They have a very nice chassis and engine dyno. The owner al is very knowledgeable. They prove there abilities with all the wins at the race track. Very professional place would recommend to anyone.

I had an engine built here and at the end AlFonse put the engine on the hub Dyno was very satisfied. When my project was completed we scheduled a chassis Dyno session after the first pull we found some issues unrelated to the work done by Fonse Performance Al worked out all the bugs and we were finally able to make Dyno pulls he saved the day !

i went in to have a crankshaft cut for and repaired. I had called ahead to be certain that I could have this type of work done as I work 6 days a week and have no time to run personal errands during normal business hours of any machine shop. I talked to a very nice lady and she had told me to come by they do everything in house and they could certainly help me. so I took half a day at work and went to drop off the parts and explain what I needed to be done. this is when I was told they were not able to cut a crankshaft and clean up a taper on the crankshaft. i wasted my time and was completely mislead by them.

I brought my homemade turbo build here and Alfonse Jr took a lot of care into my tune, even though my truck wasn t anywhere near perfect he helped me work through a few hiccups and in the end made my truck run better than I could have ever imagined and gained some serious horsepower!

Got my car tuned by junior. Due to some bad luck and an old distribution I had some issue getting the car running(on the day of the tune no less. Such bad luck) junior took time to help me figure it out. We got the car tuned. I still had mechanical issues so he let me keep the car there till I could get the parts to fix it. Even let me work on it there. Will be using them again. Great guys.

Very talented crew at Fonse. Al Jr. Is a master at what he does !Very difficult to get personalized service on turbo/blower vehicles.Tuned my daily driver Camaro to 640 RWHP and 23mpg.THANK YOU MUCH
