Trying to be as nice as possible. No bed bugs and front desk lady was very nice. Rooms are VERY out dated. I would not recommend for families. More of a place to crash if you are bar hopping in the area. Great location, right across the street from beach/boardwalk. Attention management/owners..please take the caulking guns away from your maintenance staff, they clearly do not know how to use them. I have never in my life seen the amount of caulk just randomly applied EVERYWHERE throughout the hotel room. I could not stop laughing every time I looked around the room.Rooms: Very small and outdated. No bedbugs.

Me and my family stayed in room 311and we will NOT be returning. We came here for a night vacation and couldn t believe it as soon as we got their the front desk lady was very very rude the room was disgusting and not clean there was sand under the comforter on the bed on top of the sheets. The bathroom has holes in the ceiling that they just stuffed a rag into they door didn t close all the way there was a hole at the top of it (very safe) and when we went outside on the railing was a used tied condom disgusting me and my family DO NOT recommend 1/5

The Surfside is the last great location, iconic hotels in Seaside literally on the strip and embodies the spirit of Seaside not the million dollar cookie cutter townhouses going up and if you saw how they were constructed you would RUN to the Surfside. Surfside is all you really want and need. An easy room and location. Stay here while you can.Walkability: You are one street crossing from the boardwalk and beach. No better place in Seaside exists.

The only plus to this motel is the location and the free beach passes. There is no housekeeping during your stay, the sink and mirror are not located in the bathroom, no blow dryer and no shower caddy, you have to put your stuff on the shower floor. There is no where to hang your clothes and only 2 small drawers under the microwave. Not sure about the bed bugs, I was too scared to check, we brought our own sheets blankets and pillows. The front door does not shut or lock properly. You pretty much get what you pay for at this one. Good luck!

I was very skeptical when seeing reviews about bedbugs. Before they even charged my card for the Four nights we planned on staying here, I nicely explained to them what I've been seeing on the reviews. With no hesitations they asked me if I wanted to go and check out my room which gave me some peace of mind. I inspected the beds, and there were NO bedbugs. We stayed in room 316. The rooms weren't horrible, but the beds are VERY UNCOMFORTABLE if you didn't have back problems now, you will after sleeping there, however you do get what you pay for considering the location The parking lot is VERY narrow. You most likely will be taking up two parking spots. Overall, it wasn't the worst place to stay. it could have been way worse and could have better.

Was not skeptical about this place upon reviews. It s seaside, if you re from jersey, you know how the motels are down here. With that being said, 10/10!!! My room was clean, no bed bugs. The owners let you check your room before you confirm your stay. The women who checked us in, was so sweet and accommodating all through out my stay. I only needed more towels, but she gave well over what I asked for. The air conditioning is ice cold. The shower is really big for the motels down here. The sink and mirror are outside of where you the toilet is but who cares? Beds are actually not awful comfort wise. That pull out bed tho is rough. All in all, I d book here again. Really great price for what you pay for. Owners are super chill, the pool is huge and serviced almost daily. I had a pleasant stay. Also, please don t pay a dirt cheap price and expect the ritz. 1 minute walk to the board walk, and 3 minute walk to the beach. They include beach passes but they do hold your ID in collateral for them, so something to keep in my mind about that

Great location, just steps from the boardwalk. I thought the bad reviews must be exaggerated, but they weren t. Sheets were filthy; they had stains, hair, and burn holes on them. Floor had clearly not been cleaned. Mold and rust in the bathroom. We were told room 212 had a pullout sofa bed, but it did not. Doors do not lock properly. Hotel guests playing loud music until 1:30 in the morning. Also holes in the floor outside by stairs covered with floor mats, watch your step. The location was great but would not recommend.

Very close to beach and boardwalk. Couldn't beat the location for the price. Beach tags are included and the pool was great. We stayed 7 days and 6 nights. Room service didn't come once. There were 3 of us to a room and we fit comfortably inside. No closet and no hairdryer were issues I had otherwise you get what you pay for. I would go back again for the location, pool, and beach tags. Plus free parking and no financial security hold on your cc.

There should be a negative stars option. This place would get a negative 10 stars for everything. Disgusting place filled with bedbugs, smells like garbage, and staff treat like poorly. You need to drive a mini cooper if you want to park there. The single worst motel I've ever experienced.Rooms: Dirty and smelled badSafety: Door to our room looked like it was broken into several times.Noteworthy details: They had bedbugs.

Bad point: The rooms do not matter if they are old, but they are poorly maintained. Mattresses old and in poor condition. the doors are not very secure. They do not do cleaning, only when the guest leaves. The good: The attention of the regular staff is very good and they always try to help. The pool is clean. And the hotel is just a few steps from the beach and all the activities.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This motel is the worst place I have ever stayed. The rooms cost $250/night and are an absolutely nightmare. The room smelled of weed due to guests on either side of us. The room was dirty and full of flies. There was a wet, dirty washcloth in the bathroom. One of the beds had a urine stain on the sheet. The living room area floors were dirty with shoe prints before we even stepped in. The microwave and mini fridge were dirty. We left our stay early, if that is any indication of how bad this place is. Staff was unpleasant to deal with and refused a refund on our second night. This place needs a complete reno and maybe even new owners. It is a block from the beach and should have great potential. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We wanted to just spend a night away with our kids and thought this place would be nice considering we walked past it so many times and it was very pleasant from the outside. This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stood in my entire life. The beds were sunken in, when we turned the air conditioner on, a bunch of dust flew out at our faces and when we looked at the filter it was beyond packed with dust. Everything is dated, the bedsheets were extremely dirty. As soon as my daughter got out of the shower and laid on the bed to get dressed, there was a bunch of different colored hair covering her legs which means the comforter has not been changed. One of our towels had mold on it as well. We stuck it out since it was just for one night but we definitely did not spend any time in the room if it wasn t necessary. I woke up this morning and had bites all over my entire back and my arms. And my children have a rash as well

Best trap house I ve ever stayed in. Gave me the best experience of the ghetto. Drug deals happening right next door! I wonder if Pablo the plug can hit me up next. My toilet didn t work so I asked the maintenance man to come fix it he used a plunger once and said it was fixed, then I took a small square of toilet paper and tried to flush it it didn t even go down.

Although everything was in walking distance and the workers were super friendly. It felt like I was in Section 8 housing especially when I branched off down different streets the motel was surely out of place especially the rooms wow got a lot of work guys. Finally there was people that lived there that seemed aggravated that people were coming going and just vacationing. My advice just make it an low income apartment building hey you already got an pool and a heavy police presence. It really made me think as I walked down blocks and saw lots for sale I thought maybe my partners and I should construct a great affordable place solely for vacationing I know I wouldn t make everyone happy but I would have at least 4 stars

I found this hotel from booking.com. The reviews weren t great but I expected at least a decent nights sleep and a clean room. Boy was I in for a rude awakening. First thing we have to walk by 10 people ( who we later figured out lived there) sitting in camping chairs on both sides of the walkway highly intoxicated and smoking cigarettes which they all needed to stand up and move cause it was a small area. We get to our room and shut the door and see duct tape covering the back of the door. The room smelled old and of old beer. The room was dated which I already knew but what I did not know is that the bed would be horribly soiled and stained and uncomfortable. All the fixtures were old and taped and broken. We had to use two remotes one for the volume and one for the channels. We had it a point to spend as little time as possible in the room and try to make the best of our stay. The floors were also soiled and our feet stuck to them when we walked around. We paid over $200 a night and expected at least a clean room which we did not receive. Very disappointing. We also left 3 hours early before our check out time just to get out of there, which I have never done in my life. Beware!

Room was very gross and had burn marks on everything. The bathroom is very small, shower had mold, and door did not lock. I did not see any bed bugs, let s hope there actually wasn t. The air conditioner sounds like a loud motor when turned on, sometimes randomly turns off. The pool was nice and was infact heated, as advertised. However, there was a small walkway to get to the stair and I saw 2 children slip and fall in. Staff was super nice but they did not do their job well. Food was all over the floor and bed was not made or changed, had to get new sheets. Would definitely make this motel your last choice.

This hotel was listed on a pet friendly sight. We called & spoke to someone who assured us that several of the rooms are pet friendly.We said we would be there the next day. When we arrived they said absolutely no pets. No one in Seaside allows pets. It was horrible. This horribly rude woman said she didn t know who I talked to & I was wrong. I found several hotels that were pet friendly & they were shocked at how this woman lied & was do rude.Our family was split up the whole trip & guess who was at the establishment?Plenty of people with dogs.When I confronted another manager, he said they were those You know.. special dogs, whatever they call them.I told him my dogs were emotional support dogs.He was not apologetic, just said nothing.The place is no gem, but the fact that they are liars & not willing to assist travelers is a disgrace.There are lovely hotels further up on the boardwalk that have amazing people, accept pets, & are so accommodating.Don t waist your time at this place.

Surf Side Motel was everything I ve ever dreamed of. The rooms were absolutely stunning all brand new and updated. The beds can hold a lot of weight enough for a small family before they give out. The neighbors downstairs were very friendly and even offered us darts and drinks. There was a young cop guarding the hotel so we felt extremely safe from any of the illegal things that might ve been happening. The lady at the front desk was very kind and only had us waiting an hour and a half to check in. My stay at the surf side hotel was awesome and i definitely will be back!

Great location but the blankets were dirty and the room smelled like cigarettes upon our arrival. We stayed in room 106 and the toilet was so close to the sink you could barely wipe yourself without hitting the sink. The pool was clean I did appreciate that. The shower was gross tiny and dirty and had mold stains. Not the best stay and we paid a bunch of money for it. Wouldn t stay again but appreciate how close it was to the beach. Unless the other rooms are better I wouldn t recommend. Otherwise stay away from 106.

First of all the only good thing about this motel is the location, the location is fantastic but that's the only thing. I stayed with five other people in an apartment style room and from the first walk into the room I was shocked at the condition and the cleanliness. The two queen sized beds promised were definitely double sized beds. I found cigarette burn holes in the comforters and as I rolled down the comforters of the beds it revealed dirty sheets. The pullout couch had stains on the cushions and once the mattress was pulled out to be used there were no sheets on the mattress and a few ants crawling over the mattress. The gas burning stove had missing knobs, and seemed warm to the touch even though it was in the off position. The chairs for the dining table were torn and tattered and did not match and were in desperate need of repair. The bathroom was small and tight and in need a deep clean. There was no towel rod in the towel rod holder, no hooks to hang any towels or belongings on, no place to put toiletries in the shower, which required shower shoes to be in and to top it all off the clean towels to dry off with were folder and placed on the back of the toilet; also, no trash can in the bathroom. The bathroom door closed but not very well, as it was hung on the hinges so poorly you could see right into the bedroom area from the toilet. In the morning the cleaning crew was going around and they had new clean towels in trash bags to replace the used, which was alarming as is. If you choose to stay here bring your own cleaning supplies, shower caddy, shower shoes, bedding, over the door hooks and trash cans. I for one would never recommend staying here. If it wasn't for the location and the fact that I did not book the motel I would not have stayed in the first place, this place is a dump, very disappointed.

Very cute place.August 18-19th.Liked � Front desk lady was very friendly and talkative and helped us find a place to eat. She was very 100%. Would come back. A block away from board walk. Peaches was very nice glad to meet her at the seaside heights!Disliked � First night cops were at the hotel. It wasn t a bother. Kept us busy. Didn t have anything bad to say just need to clean the floors. And sheets on beds.
