Thank you to Chris, Will and the rest of the team at Garden State Undercoating. When you first make an appointment don t be surprised if he doesn t have availability for a month or two because the team is that busy doing amazing work. I m very particular when choosing someone to work on my car and after much research I found this company. I arrived there last week with my SUV to be greeted by Will and his partner. They put my vehicle on the lift and showed me areas that needed rust remediation and where they were putting the wool wax. They also allowed me to see other vehicles they were working on in the shop. Chris, the owner met up with me eventually at the shop and was super nice, knowledgeable, gave me a great price for all the work done, even offered me a water bottle. The took a lot of before and after pictures and video and even let me have copies of it. The work done is spectacular and they went above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely be bringing my wife s suv there next to get the same work done and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking to protect their vehicle from the rust belt we live in called NJ.Here are pictures of a before and after example of this awesome work:

Chris and his team took care of my 07 FJ a year ago, repairing what looked like Swiss cheese. I returned again for another coat of wool wax this year. Chris is very easy to work with, he kept up communication with me on both of my experiences with him.

Chris was amazing to work with in his shop! He and Vahan helped me do what I thought was near impassible to help me fix up my crusty and rusty 2007 Cruiser. They worked in a timely fashion and ensured I had a reliable vehicle by the time I took her back home. I had several major welds and fabrications that had to be done plus the rust scaling and wool wax undercoating. The crew went beyond my expectations and I am grateful for their devotion to the clean up. Chris and Vahan took time to show and explain the issues I was having with my and where they rooted from. Chris was amazing at communicating with me the entire time to ensure I was updated at every step. They made the job personal and we r are considerate of their clients. I will certainly be back for future Work!

I would like to express my biggest gratitude to this shop for saving my car. It had such a bad rust damage on a frame and undercarriage was in a bad shape and you guys did outstanding job on my FJ Cruiser. You brought back my truck back to life !! Chris and his team took great care of my Toyota Sequoia, I am beyond happy. Left my car looking like new. The entire undercarriage was completely rusted, it even had an oil leak due to the rust and they took care of the problem. Also, my Sequoia had wheel well rust on both sides, they cut away the old metal and rewelded a new sheet of metal leaving the rusted wheel wells looking like new. You wouldn t even know it was rusted at one point. Chris kept in touch with me throughout the entire time my truck was in the shop and sent me photos of the progress. I am extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend Garden State Auto Repair.

It was suggested that I get the undercarriage of my FJ cleaned and treated. After speaking with various shops, as well as some online due diligence, I decided on Chris and his team at Garden State Auto.What I thought was going to be a straightforward job turned into a much bigger affair given Toyota s rich history of mastering the art of rust. Chris and his team had to rebuild, replace and weld numerous frame repairs, remedied past mistakes of other mechanics, and brought the undercarriage back to new, with an ending coat of Wool Wax to provide ongoing protection.While the before and after pictures speak for themselves, I can t recommend Chris enough. These guys are phenomenal. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and capabilities are outstanding. Moreover, Chris kept me informed throughout the process, sending daily updates and pictures (125+). But more than anything, these guys brought passion and an unequalled understanding of Toyotas and FJs specifically. It s one thing to do great work it s another to love your work. You can see their TLC (Toyota Loving Care) in the end product.Whether you own an FJ or not, I highly recommend Chris and team! You won t be disappointed.

Chris and team took amazing care of my Lexus Gx470. Chris was amazing throughout the process of getting my truck back to not having rust issues. He kept in touch with me throughout the whole process and sent me many pictures of the progress on my truck from beginning to end. If you need any frame or undercoating work done go here. They will get it done the right way. You will not regret it.

Wow, where do I begin. I found Garden State Undercoating Auto Repair on the FJ Cruiser forum. They were highly rated and recommended.The professionalism of Chris and his team is top notch. I mean from start to end Chris was extremely professional and helpful. He made me aware of every step of the process and even shared his knowledge. The car went in on schedule and completed in the time frame that Chris told me. These guys know what they are doing and are looking out for the best interest of the customer and not for themselves. Chris even washed my car after the work was done. He fixed a couple of small things that I did not even mention to him!! Great experience having work done by such a great team. I am surprised by how him and his team make the customer feel cared for as if they were family.Thank you Chris I wish you and your team the best. I will absolutely recommend this team to everyone.

This is an usual business in a couple of ways. I used their undercoating service. The service they provide (scaling, needling, rust sanding, welding and undercoating) is something not a lot of shops do. It's a specialized set of skills - done right. Secondly, the attention to detail and customer service are top-notch! Chris runs the shop and is very communicative. He'll provide you a thorough assesment of your car's level of service requirements and why as well as a timely estimate. He'll get your car in as soon as possible; they are extremely busy and for good reason.If you can't get someone to pick you up, he'll even personally drop you off at a nearby train or bus station and pick you up when you come back.The work is exceptional. Excellent welders/fabricators on-site if your car needs it (mine needed it for a rotten cross-member). Rust removal was thorough and the Wax-wool application was very well done. They got every exterior steel component that needed it and as much inside the frame rails as possible. Is this a bargain? No. It's an expensive service no doubt. But how much is your car worth to you? How long is it's longevity worth to you? For me, it was well worth it. I wish I had brought it to this shop when I first got the truck.

Good Evening,Chris and his Team did some work on my ca. I brought over to his shop a 2003 Honda Civic LX 5 speed. Chris & his team performed a Wool wax Undercoating, Welding job and a headlight Service. Work was done exceptionally well! I took my car here 3 years ago and the undercoating stills looks as good as the day it was done . And most importantly corrosion free . Not only that the owner Chris is a true car guy so you know he s going to take care of your car . Just had my 4Runner treated with the undercoat film for extra rust protection and prevention, and I'm seriously impressed with the quality and service provided by Chris team! Chris took the time to explain the process and how to take care of the film on the vehicle. He answered all my questions and was very communicative during the process. Got my car back the same day! Highly recommend!

The gentlemen at Garden State Auto Repair absolutely crushed the undercarriage restoration on my 2007 GX470. It went from a rusty, scaly, 15 year old vehicle on the underside to showroom condition. 10/10 would recommend for anyone needing solid work, from solid dudes, at a solid price.

Thanks to Chris and his crew. They did a beautiful job on my 2003 Silverado. They take pride in the work they do. They gave me back my truck cleaner than I brought it to them .Whith the price of vehicles today. If you want to preserve what you have.I suggest you call Chris and make an appointment

Had my jeep taken care of a week ago. Mine had extensive rust, which was out of my control, and friends here removed most rust and got a good looking undercoat on it. It took few days for the smell to go away, now its in good condition. Willing to go back for annual check on this coating.

I bought a new pickup truck recently and wanted to have it undercoated. After some searching I came across this place called and made an appointment. I couldn t be happier with the service provided. Chris was fast, thorough and honest with the whole process. When I picked my truck up it looked great. Chris also showed me what else his shop and guys are capable of, very impressive. I will be continuing to use his services from now on.

I did a ton of research before deciding to go with Garden State Undercoating and I'm so glad that I did. Chris and his crew were very professional from start to finish with regular updates to assure me that everything was going well with my 2023 Ram 1500 Limited. More importantly, they did an absolutely fantastic job spraying my truck to protect it during the winter months from road salt, ensuring to get inside the frame and all the tight spots as well. I could tell that they truly have a passion for their craft, and they do it for a reasonable price for outstanding results. It's no surprise to me at all as to why they're so busy and I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking to protect their investment.

Very professional and stand up guys working here! Brought my 4runner to them right off the lot and have been coming back ever since. They do great work and keep you updated on the progress, and send pictures with before and after. My 4runner still looks brand new underneath thanks to the team at Garden State Auto repair. Brought my 2018 Subaru sti for a wool wax undercoating and they did a fantastic job. These cars have a ton of plastic under guards and these guys literally removed everything that could be removed and wool waxed the entire under carriage,wheel wells, even cleaned the engine bay. Same day drop off and pick up, and also provided me pics and video of the entire process. If you live in the northeast and plan on keeping your vehicle on the road take it to these guys for a wool wax. Highly recommend!

Chris is very detailed and methodical with his work and Raymond is an excellent welder. Their team worked on a Recreational Hummer H2 and did a great job. Best to workout job in detail with Chris even write up so he can ensure he meets or exceeds expectations.
