I recently purchased a new to me 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI from AutoTrader Wholesale, I couldn t give more than 5 stars and if I could I would. Initially I was hesitant about buying a car from a dealership, but the team at AutoTrader Wholesale were friendly and informative making it a great car buying experience. I ve already put nearly 1000 hard miles on my car after purchase and have no complaints. From New Jersey to western New York. They are very up front with discussing condition of their vehicles and sell quality products at a reasonable price 100/10 would recommend.

Sold me a great car. But the way they went about it was shady and conniving. We didn t even get our car for the advertised price online, it was jacked up an extra 1k. Then we asked what other fees we were left to pay so no surprises afterwards so we got a price and left to go shop around. Came back and were expecting to pay the same price but now they don t remember the price even though they had it written down. Then they signed all of the documents in my behalf in a computer and told me the car I was buying was still under warranty when in fact it wasn t (I realized after) so they signed me up for warranty and gap insurance when I never asked for it, then they jacked up the price even more for bank fees and registration fees when I had already asked if all the fees were included in the final price they gave me when I was first interested. My car ended up costing me 7-8K over the price I intended to pay and when I asked to remove the gap and the warranty I never signed up for they said we had agreed even though I didn t or even discussed it. I would call everyday to get it removed and they would say I ll call you later I m busy or we have to wait on the bank to receive the info of the warrant and gap in order to cancel it. All of this while my wife was 9 months pregnant and was dealing with this whole headache when my daughter was born. What was supposed to be a great memory of our car for our baby just really distressed me so much and my anxiety was at a all time high. I hate this place and everything it stands for. It was also my second time buying a used a car, my first was with my dad when I was a kid still so I had no knowledge of anything so I was trusting this guy to do the right thing instead I got swindled. And I can t do anything but be careful next time and let this be a learning experience.

It was my first car purchase experience, a very nice dealership and a very great service. Rob is very responsive, after purchasing the car hold it for me for a few days. Recommend this place for everyone!

Be VERY Careful with these guys. Inflating deals, running your credit without permission, high mileage fleet, the owner has anger mgmt problems. I m trying to give negative 5 stars.

After being sold lemons and lies at many other dealerships across CT, NY, & MI, Auto Trader Wholesale Inc. was a breath of fresh air! We had an incredible experience working with Rob! He made the whole process from start to finish seamless, quick, and enjoyable. We could tell we were dealing with a stand-up guy from the moment we first contacted him on the phone. He was completely honest and transparent with every aspect of the vehicle and process as a whole. He was clear and quick to respond with what was needed from us so we could have all our ducks in a row, ready to go once we got there (since we were coming from CT we did not want any BS)! When we arrived, we were there no more than 30 minutes and everything was as promised! Rob was also super friendly (which he was over phone/text/email, but it's always nice when they are also that way in person)! This type of good experience can be rare, especially from a dealer you're not previously familiar with! We'll definitely contact Rob when we're ready to trade-in or get another car! I highly recommend this place!

After spending an entire week being lied to and having my time wasted by tons of car dealerships all over New Jersey and New York, I have never met such genuine, honest, and helpful car salesman in my life. Robert and the guys at Autotrader are the best in the area! Walked in and left with my beautiful SUV same day with no issues. Would definitely recommend and go back for other cars in the future.

Bought a VW GTI from them last summer. Test drove it and it drove fine. When we sat down to pay, i noticed $3000 had been added to the price on top of the price on the internet. He lowered it $500 and it had been such a long day that I just paid the $2500 extra. In retrospect I should have walked out. About a month after purchase, the check engine light came on. Took it to a VW dealer in DE and it needed a new timing chain -about 3k job. Over the next couple months, it needed a whole bunch of other work done like new rear hubs in the back for $800, water pump, one of the plugs on the transmission, . all said and done I had to put about $6000 worth of work to get it where it needed to be. I called them twice and told him the situation and the person I spoke to said the owner would get back to me and both times never got back to me. I am positive. They knew about some of these problems and covered them up. Do not buy a car from this dealership. Very sketchy.

0 Stars! If you look at the other reviews you can tell some if not most are fake. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. The owner sells cars He knows are in bad shape at premium prices. 1/4 of the cars on His lot should just be junked out right. And the ones that are decent are way over priced. The is the epitome of a used card dealer that takes advantage of customers. I seriously suggest you save yourself the buyers remorse and find a more reputable dealer, because this guy is as bad as they come and most of those 5 star reviews are fake. They even use the same name more than once. Smh

For the past month I have been struggling to find a new vehicle after mine was totalled in a accident. This past Saturday, after hours of no luck finding a quality used car for a decent price (especially in this market), I stopped by Auto Traders and met with Rob. Not only did rob have multiple options of vehicle that fit my search criteria, but he was extremely helpful during the whole search. He helped me narrow down what was important to me in my next vehicle and what was realistic in my price budget. After viewing various vehicles, I chose to purchase a used Audi in perfect condition. Rob was not pushing me to buy a car from him, he was not influencing me to purchase a car a did not want. He was very straight forward and honest about his business. I would recommend anyone to take a quick visit to Auto Traders and see Rob if you re looking for a new used car. Thank you Rob and the the team for my awesome new car!

SCAM! SCAM!! SCAM!!!Stay away from this dealership. They intentionally sale junk cars and would do anything, including threatening you, to get away with their fraud. Go look for a better dealership and save yourself time. Any positive review you see here is arranged. Buyers beware!

These guys got me into a nice bmw the only one I was really looking for and with the color of choice too. They let you know what you re getting yourself into, I ve been driving fine since July without an issue. Thanks again to these guys for their good service.

Incredibly shady dealership, dodged calls and sold the car from underneath me. I had the financing approved and ready and they knew that. They kept avoiding my questions on the phone and never called back. They also set up an appointment to see a specific car and when I drove almost two hours to get there, the car was never available. I'd suggest anyone to avoid this dealership.Edit in reply to owner:No you did not advise me to leave a deposit or I would have. In fact a deposit never came up once during any of our calls. Read my review again. You had me set up an appointment to view the available car. I arrived and the car was still available for sale. The car was not there when I drove about two hours. I also had funds available the same day for the car and you then decided to play games on the phone and avoid my calls and text messages when I had the funds ready to go. So maybe just take ownership of the shady business you're running and admit when you're wrong.

Worst service ever. They should be investigated and be put out of business. They are fraudsters.I advise customers NEVER to do business with Auto Trader Wholesale Inc. New Jersey. I think they chose the name Auto Trader to mimic the Real Auto trader and get customers. They sell junk cars and try to cover up with lemon law loopholes

Recently purchased a vehicle from auto trader wholesale dealt specifically with Robert. Had a great experience. Robert was informative, polite and didn t pressure the sale of the car at all. They worked with us gave us a great price on the vehicle were very transparent and the process was seamless. Would recommend auto trader wholesale for anyone looking to purchase a used car. Great customer service and an overall pleasant experience.

Heed the warning of all of the previous one star reviews!!!!!This place is a scam. It was a battle just to test drive the car I wanted to see. Then Robert kept insisting in running my credit to talk about the end price of the car. Once I finally gave my information, he did not disclose the amount of money he was charging for selling it. I ended up paying $5k+ over the price of the car ($1,300 in taxes, the rest on warranty and his fees) and financing for so much more than I had expected.I had contacted other dealerships in the area and they mentioned their flat fee is $2k including warranty without even meeting with them yet.ATW is very shady and the way they do their business is unacceptable.I will definitely contact the BBB about my experience, take it from me, this place is not worth it.

From the moment we walked on the lot we could immediately tell that this was going to be the place. They have an amazing selection of very high quality cars/suv s, the office was very clean and near & the guys working there were prompt, informative & professional. They worked hard with us to get the vehicle we wanted & we drove off the lot that day with exactly what we wanted. We drove 9 hrs for this vehicle and in the end it was worth every mile traveled. Oh, and talk about a comfortable couch in the waiting area ! If the service wasn t so quick & efficient I would have dozed off . Manny is the man to ask for !
