I was at your store today 412/24 my experience was not good the gentleman down below and the gentleman up above were arguing. to the gentleman that I gave my bottle of Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer too they added the lubricant in the car but did not communicate with the gentleman down below so the lubricant went right out of the car it was waste of a bottle $22 down the drain and they were having a hard time replacing the oil filter on top of the engine it took three technicians to get it done I don't think I'll be visiting the store ever again

My wife went in there for a basic oil change. the car is only a year old and they kept harassing her to do more than just the Oil change. Said if she doesn t get the engined cleaned they will report it carfax. It only has 34k miles on the car and they still try to scam you just because it s a women. Very unprofessional highly recommend not going there

Nice guy but poor protocol.$120 for a full synthetic oil change which is good for 5k miles but not sticker for windshield was labeled for 3k miles, he said it can t print to say 5k.Asked what would it cost to use regular oil rather than synthetic and he said the computer can t calculate that.Charged extra to top off anti freeze.I miss going to an auto shop where you can ask for a price and they give you one.The owners manual recommends SAE 0w-20 or SAE 5w-20, doesn t mention anything about having to use synthetic oil.You are forcing the up sale of synthetic oil, sounds like a scam to me.

I would give zero stars if possible after my visit on 8/30/18.First, I was told my oil was low upon entering, which seems fishy considering I have synthetic oil rated for 10000 miles and drove in at 10015 miles. (Of course they told the customer next to and in front of me the same thing--again fishy)I highly doubt my oil magically died after 15 extra miles. I was then charged for "extra oil" but not told I was being charged for it; only discovered the charge on my email bill hours later.In addition, later that evening on the 30th my check engine light came on and stayed on. I opened the hood on the morning of the 31st and discovered that the workers left a drill bit under my hood in the latch area, and had only secured 2 of the 6+ screws to hold my air filter box in place. Not surprising considering the workers seemed disinterested and lackadaisical; one even took a smoke break during my service!!Now I have to go out of my way to return to the shop to get this remedied.Very frustrating!!Avoid this shop at all costs!!

It s very annoying that they tell you that they have to top up this and check this and check that ,you re just going in for oil change last week when I was there the oil plug said need to replace because it s treads were close together was there excuse .$5 to top of my antifreeze, when I got home and checked it, myself was probably 2 ounces low , it was four kids working there today I they were probably between 18 and 20 years old. These kids have no knowledge of car maintenance. Valvoline just teach him to sell sell sell .

DO NOT GO!Wife had oil change there. Staff checked on her transmission fluid but didn't report it on the receipt. When they did, they left a cap off. Fluid leaked from transmission and transmission blew in less than 24 hours.You risk serious damage to your car and your safety if you choose this location.UPDATE: Now Valvoline will only call me during my work hours to try and rectify this. I've told them when I'm available and they've basically told me I can accept their call at work or I can call and sit on hold once I'm not at work.AGAIN... DO NOT GO TO VALVOLINE!!

Hello, my name Cesar Visoso today on 11/22/23 my day was bad. because on 11/21/23 time 10:37 am i asked to replace my car battery. i drive 2009 Acura tsx i had warranty from Valvoline in east Ruthford. So the manager cristian said to me we cant give you warranty for your battery. you have to go to east Ruthford to get your battery warranty. but i said hold up i thought i can go any Valvoline location to replace battery. then i said when did that rules change cristian said that rule is always in it. thats strange never heard of it. so today i went to east Rutherford and saw my favorite assent manger Pavlin to check my battery warranty. so the new manger name Terrell open the hood of my car and grab a battery tester print it out for me to see my battery voltage. it has 12.60v looks ok Pavlin said you have 3 years in the half. warranty only have 5 years to exchange it. i talk to these two great mangers Terrell and Pavlin, they solve it. Terrell said Lodi lie to me you can exchange your battery any Valvoline. wow I'm shocked and pissed that Cristian don't want to exchange my battery. true story Terrel have to Lodi to talk to a manger one employee answer the phone call: Terrel. Said can i speak to your manger employee from Lodi he is busy can we please call you back in 5 minutes. Terrel said it's me Terrel from east Rutherford, so employee said OK please hold. Terrel hold the phone for 2 minutes then Lodi hung up the phone. then Terrel have to call his boss tell him everything happen. i really hope Valvoline fired Cristian that's very unprofessional. that's not how to deal with customer service and very unprofessional how to run a business.so now my next oil change. i will come to east Rutherford. thank you Terrel and Pavlin very much for your help. Full service and very professional. These guys are always thorough and communicate extremely well. In fact, it's not an experience one usually gets for an oil change. Topping all fluids and a multi point inspection leaves you feeling confident your car is ready to rock when pulling out those bay doors! Pricing is decent for what you get too.. just get there early or plan on waiting in line since they don't take appointments.

These guys are WONDERFUL. Terrell, Pavlin and one other gentleman worked on my car. I had an oil change and ac flush. Prior to coming here I went to get an oil change at Pep Boys where I was told I would have to spend over 1k to get my oil pan changed. I asked Terrell if they can take a look at what is going on and he explained to me that it was not necessary and that they would tread my oil pan free of charge. On top of that, I had no clue why my ac was not functioning properly and I only came to get an oil change but Terrell let me know what was going on as part of the vehicle inspection that comes with getting your oil changed here. They are honest, clear, concise and trustworthy, something I have not been able to find while getting my vehicle serviced. Forever grateful for these guys saving me from getting scammed over at Pep Boys, truly honest and trustworthy team you got here. Raise their pay and never let them go! DO NOT HAVE THEM CHANGE LIGHTS. Went in for an oil change. Oil was done. When asked to changed a brake light bulb they broke the pins that hold in the cover. And scratches all over the housing when they tried to remove it. Left cover off in trunk without telling me

I went in for a simple oil change. The guy helping me was nice and took care of the oil, but I noticed another guy doing my tire pressure at the same time. I figured, they must check the air as a courtesy and thought nothing else of it. Literal minutes after driving off, my tire sensor light came on. I thought...ok maybe they filled it up too much and it's just off a bit. I went home, parked, stayed parked for 2 days while working remote. When I went back out to my car again, the tire I saw the man working on was completely deflated. I drove to WaWa and filled it up. Then went to a tire shop to see what was wrong. Nothing. No nails, no glass, just an incompetent person who either purposely or negligently didn't recap my tire, or busted the stem. I got these tires 3 months ago and had to get a new tire all because I went for an oil change. It was my first time there and it'll be my last at a valvoline.Services: Tires, Oil change

RIPS YOU OFF!! I will rate this with ZERO star! Don't waste your time coming in here. I just went for an oil change and the manager in East Rutherford is so rude! He tells me I need an additional transmission oil change, I asked him to give me the price first and I will see. Then, I just see him going back and forth and when he comes back I ask him what is price and tells me $350!! I said no, I will come another day and he said sorry my guys already started the job! Even though I asked him to tell me the price first, he went ahead and started the job without my consent! Horrible service, he just did what he wanted, he does not listen to the customer and I am talking about the manager! Unprofessional and dishonest.

I must say, I always have a good experience when I come here. In the past I have come for my Oil change with several of my cars and always happy with my service. Recently I had my AC serviced and charged up. Excellent service. I recommend every one do this once a year, if you do that your AC will last much longer with out needing repair.

Been going here for a while now and always happy with the service and the staff is great. However this past week when I went for my oil change the service was good and staff was friendly but when I got home and saw the hood of my car I was not happy. The amount of grease/oil from the mechanics hand was unreal. I understand this can happen but why would he not have at least wiped it off? I have a white car so I am sure he saw it. Little bit disappointed with this visit.Service: Oil change

After I agreed to there price of $97,88. The tech comes and says we don't have yur weight in yur oil weight. But we already dropped yur oil. So it went to $130.88 cause all they had was full synthetic in my oil weight I should have argued but tech was Is arrogant I will never go backService: Oil changeService: Oil change

I went to this Valvoline via recommendation once before and received 10/10 service. This time around, it was a +1. Amy was amazing - she let me know exactly what I needed and the cost. Cost still wasn't great, but Amy was vary clear about why the service was needed and didn't put pressure on me to get it. I went today, 5 July 2023, for automatic transmission oil. If your car has an oil pan I really recommend to you to go another place. They only make a change of oil, if you need a full service like pan cleaning and filter change, better visit other place.

I go to get an oil/filter change but this Valvoline did not have the particular oil or filter my car needed & advised me to go to the nearby Autozone & pick it up. Then they would have no problem completing the oil change. I do just that & everything seems to be okay with the oil change. I use a coupon received in the mail, "save $15 on any invoice over $40", their computer scans it & everything is okay. I pay & am about to leave until the Manager of the store, who wasn't involved in my oil change at all, stands in front of my vehicle and states that my coupon does not apply because I supplied to oil.Nowhere does it state that on my coupon. The Valvoline computer scanned it & okayed it, but the manager would not let me leave until I paid the additional $15. I found this quite frustrating as not only did their computer scan & say it was okay, but the store didn't even have my oil or filter to begin with. It's not like I went there with my own oil from the start; I intended to use theirs.Just be aware if you go here that the Manager can choose what coupons are good or no good regardless of what the Valvoline computer system thinks.Aside from this, the rest of the staff was very kind & helpful.Service: Oil change

Great! They took care of my oil change and did a full round of check ups from lights and wipers all the way to the battery and check engine light. Excellent service. Just get there before 5:30 because they kind of close up before 6 due to the nature of their work.

I have been to this valvoline a total of 2 times:1. I went for a full service which cost me 200$. During the service they told me my drain plug was broken and recommended i get a new one. I did. I asked them to reset the service messages on my car BMW but none of them were knowledgeable and i had to do it myself. After 2 weeks my car did an automatic oil level sensing and indicated i was out of oil.I went back to them the second time and they told me whoever fit my drain plug tightened it so much it broke and leaked oil. They tried to tell me to go to a different valvoline but since i had just had my car serviced from them 2 weeks ago i refused. The owner finally agreed and did nothing and told me my problem was sorted. Fast forward 2 weeks nothing was done and i had leaking oil.I took it to a more reputable place and had to get my drain plug rethreaded and had extra oil put in because these people don t know how to do their job. It cost me an extra 240$ just to get it done right. Never ever going back here again.
