This pep boys center is as bad as the reviews it has been given. I can not fathom how upset I am by the service and damages this center has caused my car. To start off my car was left on with the heater on at 80 in the sun for over 2 hours. I noticed this immediately as my car makes a beep noise when you unlock it. When confronting the person working the desk he went back in to speak to his crew which were his manager Carols, and an additional member. When walking back I was told that the car was left on 20 minutes and that they were incredibly sorry. I had explained what they did was not ok and that I was upset but no additional things were said for their error. When reviewing pictures and video tapping that is when I had really noticed that the car was not left on for 20 minutes but rather in fact 2 hours. I had my husband call back and speak to the manager Carols but when the manager was told that there was a dash cam he admitted to the incident and stated that there would be compensation with services such as oil changes and other additional things. Carols also stated that he would be giving a call back on 3/26/2024 to speak further about the incident. However, services can not fix this as additional damages have been found to the car. The car's roof is dented and there are various marks with the body of the car exposed and the paint scratched off. This almost looks like there was a bar that fell on the car as the other side of the car has additional markings parallel to it. There's pictures of the car Prior before it had came in. There is a dirty glove mark in the car and evidence that shows someone was in the back of the car when there was not a service requested for the inside. I've contacted corporate and have contacted my insurance with the advice that if pep boys corporate does not fix this then there will be legal pursuit for damages. Please do not come here as I have came here numerous of times and have always been met with my car being in the shop for an entire day for an oil change and additional hassle that have been swept under the rug.

As someone who does not live in the area, I had an emergency with my car and this Pep Boys happened to be the closest shop to the location I started to issues with my car. I pulled up to Pep Boys and I was immediately helped by the gentleman with the long beard. He gave an approximate time frame of how long the repairs would take. A few hours later, I get a call from Carlos explaining to me what the issue was and how much it was going to cost. Once I agreed on the price, they started working on the car and once it was ready for pick up they sent me a text message letting me know. I picked up the car and it ran like new and I was able to go home with no issues whatsoever. I'm very thankful for the service this Pep Boys provided at a time where I need emergency repairs.

I received excellent service @Pep boys. They were very courteous, professional and detailed about repairs needed. This was my first visit but will definitely choose pep boys for any future auto services. Thanks to Carlos, Jose , and Sergio and anyone that assisted me @ Roselle NJ location.

I took my Toyota 4-Runner Limited in for an oil change on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Roselle, NJ location. I received exceptional service from Manager Jay and his team. Jay was courteous, knowledgeable and totally professional. He informed me of a free tire rotation that I was entitled to and educated me on questions I had regarding the rotation and pretty much anything else I inquired about.In closing, my oil change (and tire rotation) at this Pep Boys location was fast, hassle-free, and the cherry on top, under 100 bucks which is a first for me! Jay and his team run a tight and efficient shop in Roselle and I left my appointment a super-satisfied customer. I highly recommend this location. James RodriguezElizabeth, NJ

I had an appointment last Saturday for service. I met Jay who was very nice and helpful. He was very efficient in preparing my paperwork and getting my car ready for service. He also explained that they were a little behind which I appreciated because I can utilize my time doing something else.I must say that Jay was top notch and you couldn t require a nicer guy. I would definitely recommend PepBoys for servicing your vehicle. The staff is courteous and professional.

I had a nail in my tire I could hear as I drove. They let me come in the next day and removed the nail and was honest that it didn t pierce the tire. Jay was so helpful and kind and I really appreciated the transparency. Thank you so much!

The service was fast and efficient. The car was ready in just an hour, and the price was very reasonable. The mechanics were friendly and polite, and explained the repairs that needed to be done. I am so glad I chose Pep Boys for my car service. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a fast, efficient and affordable service.

Worst experience ever. I took my car in for a simple rear turn signal change and front brake pad replacement. After spending all day in the shop, I picked up my car with a HEADLIGHT out, saying it was an electrical issue. I have never had electrical issues. What s worse is that the tech who did it said that the headlight was working fine once he finished working in it, but magically stopped working once it was back in MY care. While waiting, 2 other people were ALSO there for the same tech, who had made issues on their cars as well. I won t be going back, needless to say, and will be seeking at least a partial refund.

I had all 3 of my children when I caught a flat tire on the parkway going homeKids was scared and I wasn t familiar with the area googled and called pep boys they was closing soon and the guy was so nice he helped me and my children and we was able to get back home on the parkway. We went to mavis before pep boys and they was rude and mean and didn t want to help us . Thank you to the guy that helped my family I forgot his name you rock at pep boys

I LOVE this place. Professional, quick, and competent. Price wasn't bad either. I bring my friends and family here. You can purchase the tires there or bring them with you. They will get the job done.

If you want to get the job done with full confidence, come to this pepboys. Ask for Jose whos running the joint! Not only is he honest, but will work with you to the best of his abilities ! The guy knows hustle it out with hard work and dedication to your issues. You can confide in him which i really appreciate! Furthermore, everyone is very friendly which puts the place as a comfortable environment for me. Shoutout to sergio, who knows what he does as a master technician! Im glad i came here to get my Acura TL fixed, they just gained a new customer! And if you think im exaggerating or lying, please by all means come find out yourself

Rude as hell, especially that guy called Carlos or something with Hispanic name and long beard. They don t necessarily honor the appointment you make online. I ve been to other Pep Boys and their customer service was spotless. But this location doesn t deserve 1 star rating

Edit: There's good people there that knows what they are doing, but u may get someone who is clueless to services that they are supposed to provide per policy. And to top it off that person gives u an attitude.That person btw is this guy with a long beard. Didn't look at his name but I saw another review so I think it should be him. Horrible.My 1st experience was great hence I gave 5 stars but on my 2nd visit & this bearded fool spoiled it for me. Dude is clueless & rude. I don't think I will ever visit again. At least if I see him at the counter I just make a u turn. What a douche bag

If I could , I would give them no stars. The customer/ service help didn't acknowledge me when I came to desk. I literally had to say excuse me, I'm here for my 12pm appointment. He was an older gentleman, very nonchalant. Horrible customer service, even when I came back to pick up my vehicle. There was customer ahead of me saying," I knew I should have went to the rt22 location" . I felt the same way. I will never ever come to this location again. When I got in my vehicle, they didn't reset the need maintenance sensor in my vehicle. My son did it for me. I also had him to check to see if they did the oil change . Wow! Is this location going out of business? I would never give them my money ever again. Shame on you Pep boys!

Manny, Brenton and Abe went out of their way to make sure I got the best price and service. They understood that I work in new york and live in New Jersey and needed the most important parts serviced and advised me on what other parts can wait. I feel safe enough to make it through the week until next time. Amazing community bond they have. Great people. Wouldn t go anywhere else.

Originally, I had an issue with being overcharged. Apparently the web site charges were not updated with the new PB pricing, so I was right, and they were right. Weird.The Asst Mgr - Chris - took good care of me by resolving the issue, now I'll be back when I need service or tires in the future. Its great seeing a business do the right thing by their customers.

I went to that location for an alignment because of the inattentive service at the Rt 22 location. Big mistake. My car was damaged and I been back and forth with them for months over settlement. Still awaiting amicable resolution.5/26/21 updateEven after contacting PepBoys as requested and sending in photos only a bob and weave from them. I would have met them halfway on the cost of the repair but they have just lost me as a customer for good.

Pep Boys is where I normally go to buy tires and get oil changes and they never disappoint. They gave excellent service and recommended what I need next for the fall winter season thank you November 1, 2023.

There's a employee there with a long beard, if you see him, just walk away. He's a real piece of work, smh!!!!My car was having some issues, and I wanted to simply just get a diagnostic, so I googled where I can get one. I know that AutoZone offers them for free, but it said Pepboys does the same and it was closer, so I went there instead.Upon walking in, I simply asked him if they offer free diagnostics, and he told me no. So I asked him if they have the little device you use under the steering that can pull up possible faults. He said no, and that minimum diag is 100$. So I said thank you and walk you.(from the moment I walked in, he seemed annoyed I was in there)So I get in my car and go to the Pepboys website.... lo and behold!!! THEY DO FREE DIAGNOSTICS CHECKS, FREE WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECKS, AND FREE TIRE ROTATION!!!!I was so annoyed that he lied about something that would have taken him less than 5mins to check, so while on the website I schedule an appt with them for one 2days later.I show up for my appointment and I tell the same dude what I'm there for and he looks at me like I just cursed his family or something, and tells me that the guy that does Diags won't be there all day, so I asked if he'll be in the next day, and he told me yes.So I show up the following day and hand in my key, and Beard dude tells me that it'll be ready in a few hours, I told him thank you and handed my keys.Few hours later beard dude calls me and tells me that they did the diag, and I asked him what was the issue... To which he replies "it's just a bunch of numbers and letters, you wouldn't understand".. eventually he tells me the code and when I asked him what that code means, he tells me"can't tell you unless you pay 100$ for the check". (So I looked it up on my own, and found the answer)So I go in to get my car aftery FREE TIRE ROTATION and he gives me the keys and walks away.... So I asked him if I am supposed to get a sheet showing the work that was done and he says no.So I go in my car again, and LO AND BEHOLD I'M SUPPOSED TO GET A WORKSHEET OF THE WORK THAT WAS DONE ON MY VEHICLE!!!!This whole time I was as polite and calm as possible, idk what I did to this dude but seems like he did not like me one bit.So after finding out that I'm supposed to get a document, I go back in there, but he's busy with some customers so I wait in line and the manager (I think) calls me over to assist me.I tell him that I had came here to pick up my car, but I would really appreciate the service sheet if they have those, and he seemed surprised that I was given my key without any paperwork.So he goes up to bearded dude, and bearded dude seemed nervous, like he had done something wrong.The manager ask him why he didn't give me the paperwork and bearded dude replies "ohh sorry, I didn't remember".Anyway if you read this whole thing, thanks, I have worked in customer service and I get sometimes you can be annoyed but God Damn man!!! You don't have to be a complete douchebag for absolutely no reason!!!

From the moment I entered the shop, was greeted with a smile. A few questions asked, some questions answered and a call that my car was ready 2hrs later. THEN the squeezed my sisters car in as well. Good price, better service. KUDOS to this Pep Boys location! Thanks!

Staff were friendly. Ordered tires for the same day but didn't inform me until later in the evening so I had to return the next day. I found a missing wheel.nut when I arrived home. I called and they stated that they forgot to inform me. Then stated if I go and buy a other they would install. They cross threaded the nut and wanted me to purchase another. For a tire place you would think they have extras.

DO NOT waste your time going there!. Made an appointment and 1/2 hr later after my appointment time, with all lifts available and mechanics standing mingling around, I inquired about the delay, their response was that if I was in a rush they could give me back my key and leave. Jiffy Lube took me right in and cared after my vehicle with respect and in a promptly manner.
