Ray is so nice and incredibly honest. I don t know much about cars and he s always so helpful. I ve been going there for years. A few years back I told them to check my brakes in my old Ford Focus because I worried they needed replacing, and Ray could have easily made something up to charge me, but he was honest and said they didn t need work. So grateful to have them in the neighborhood.

Why I Love The Big A:If you're looking for a car mechanic who is ALWAYS HONEST, The Big A in Roselle Park is your go-to place. My family's been going to Ray and his team for nearly 30 years that's how good they are. My wife and I even drive from nearly an hour away just to get our cars checked/fixed by them.Ray, the owner, is one of the best guys you'll ever meet. He's incredibly honest and explains everything about your car in a way that actually makes sense. Over the last few decades, my family has taken our cars to the Big A (Audi, Mercedes, Lincoln, and Jaguar) -- Ray s team handles them all like pros.Last week, I was convinced I needed new brakes because they were making a screeching noise and the pads looked thin. Ray inspected the pads with and showed me that the brakes were still good for quite a while. Instead of taking my money like other mechanics would, Ray prescribed a simple brake and rotor cleaning; and voila the screeching noise was fixed for a fraction of price for new brakes. I mean, who does that? Most places would've just gone for the pricey fix.What I really appreciate about Ray is his integrity. He stands by his work 100%. If something's not right, he'll make sure it gets fixed immediately, no questions asked. And the way he deals with customers is just awesome he's warm, honest, and treats you like a friend.Ray always gives you options for your car service. Whether you want the full deal or something that fits your budget, he's got you covered. Plus, his staff are the same friendly faces I've known since I was a kid (for over 20 years). That says a lot about him as a boss. They stick around because he's a good guy.Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good barber; hard to find, and you NEVER leave them!So, if you're reading this and need a mechanic, trust me, go to The Big A. They re probably the most honest car shop in NJ, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were worldwide. I had emissions problems for two months and three mechanics could not fix it to have me pass inspection. Rick at Big A found it and repaired the problem so I passed inspection. Quality work, honest and you pay a reasonable price. Not discount but worth the trustworthy reliable service. I will go there again

I experienced a lot of inconvenience with my car due to failing an emissions inspection in two cycles. The dealership where I purchased the car did not handle the issues properly. This caused significant financial hardship 2 years ago, and it may have cost more recently. Under the advice of my mechanic, I visited the Big A inspection and emission service station. Ray, the owner of Big A advised me on the steps to pass the emission test. By following the advice, I passed the inspection in a timely manner and the price was very reasonable. Thank you Ray for your car knowledge and honesty. I highly recommend this shop for vehicle service

This people are the greatest..Good mechanic, perfect work, very responsable... I love to take my car to this place, I never have to take it back for the same problem ...Never...!!! Ray and his staff are the most honest, trusting mechanics around! I cannot say enough positive things about them. I had a bad experience at one shop that told me something was wrong with my car and was gonna cost over $400 to fix so I bought to Ray and he said there was nothing wrong! I brought my Audi A5 here after doing a lot of research as I recently moved to the area. They were extremely well reviewed so I brought my car down. First I got an inspection which was done quickly and for a very reasonable price. That made me comfortable and I spoke with the owner who is always on site and very personable. So I brought my Audi back for an oil change, a minor electrical issue, and a brake job. I am very pleased with the job they did and the price. They were very fair and got my car in and out which is very important to me as I cannot afford much downtime with my car. I'm also not rich so fair pricing means alot to me and I felt I got alot of value for my money. Prior to finding Big A I was using A1 German Car which I also reviewed on Google. After now using them both, I will only be bringing my car here from here on out. Truthfully the service, the pricing, and the overall experience was better here. It is very hard to find a car place you can trust, at least in my opinion, and I am very happy to have found one that I can rely on going forward. And lucky for me it is proximate to where I live, but even if it wasn't I would bring my A5 here anyway. Thank you to those who reviewed because that is what led me here in the first place, that and the fact that they have been in business in this location for 40 years. This is the only place I'll bring my cars from now on. The service is excellent. I brought my car in today for a general inspection to make sure everything was running right. I was able to drop it off in the morning with no problems, and they called me within a few hours to let me know what the status was and that the car was ready for pickup. These guys make it easy to bring your car in for maintenance. They're professional and they know what they're doing. I highly recommend them. Thanks again.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Most honest mechanic shop you ll find. The one thing about big a that I love is there saying..do it once do it right!! I remember Ray took care of my Dads car when there was a emergency. He does a good job for basic oil changes . But his prices can be very high. Labor shouldn't be anything over $65 dollars . YOU expect that at Car Dealerships when your vehicle is under warranty.I give him 3 starts

I was looking for local mechanic so I would not have to go to Newark where my former one had his shop but retired. I read on our town forum to go here and I was not disappointed. They got me in quickly and what able to service my car that same day and for a fair price.

Great place on time very quick very professional. I went here for in expections sticker and I was in-and-out within 10 minutes no wine no waiting no fuss no hassle. Due to the recent virus and the DMV being completely jam packed this is the place to go!
