My 1988 Porsche 930 has never sounded so good. Keith is amazing - he really knows these cars well. He even knew who the original owner of my car was in Georgia. Will definitely not hesitate to bring my car again in the future for any big maintenance that I can t do myself.Service: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

Powertech has been working on my 1973 Porsche 914 for close to 40 years. Sounds shocking to me too.... 40 yrs. But honestly there is no other Porsche service I would take my car to given the choice. Keith's knowledge of the 914 is encyclopedic and his technical skills in fixing or upgrading are widely known and grounded in his own history of 914 ownership and racing. And that is just my 914.......... they are experts at ALL model Porches. If you have spent $$$$ for a Porsche treat it to the very best whether it be a simple service and oil change, minor performance upgrades or full on race car prep - take it to Powertech Porsche.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

I just picked my car up from Powertech after having some scheduled service and a water pump replacement. Fantastic service from beginning to end. Customer service and all the communication was outstanding. Pricing was excellent as well. I couldn't recommend them more and I'll be bringing my car here for service from now on.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Brakes, Oil changeServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Brakes, Oil change

Completely disappointed in this shop. Called looking for help with our SCCA Race Car to be tuned (very few shops who tune electromotive units anymore) and turned away because it wasn't a porsche. If you can't think apply basic skills to tuning because your so type casted to a brand, you must not be that good. Shame, I had hopes...**Edit in response to the owners response**. Yes, you did try to help, however my statement stands. You didn't turn me away because you didn't support Electromotive, you turned us away because we didn't have the illustrious Porsche badge. My opinion stands.

I ve been using PowerTech for 2 years since I was introduced to them at a track event. They know everything about my car, service it properly, fairly priced (nothing with a Porsche is cheap) and will always chat with me about concerns or questions. Highly recommend them.

Been using PowerTech for years. Couldn't be happier with the level of service. They service my two track cars as well as two street Porsche's.

Your one stop shop for all things Porsche!Mike, Lisa, and the entire team at Powertech are always extremely accommodating and most knowledgable no matter what the task at hand may be. The quality of work along with the value that you get as a consumer far surpasses that of any Porsche Dealership service center or any other race shop.Highly recommended! If you have a Porsche in the tristate area, I strongly recommend Powertech in Rockaway, NJ for hands down the best Porsche service around. Big thanks to Powertech for ensuring my 997 is always dialed in & running strong for the past 30k+ miles!

We just had extensive work done on our 2001 Porsche. The service was exceptional. During the process the service manager kept me well informed of any and all progress on the repairs. Our vehicle was in a garage inoperable for 5-6 years. The attention to detail and care by the mechanics was amazing. The car is a joy to drive thanks to Powertech. Highly recommend them for your repairs.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

Ryan & Karen & the entire crew were Amazing!!! They went over & beyond with everything they did. They kept me informed of what I needed & they were right. By changing my cracked tires my car rider feels like a new.car. Not only did they break down all the item's that were replaced they were very reasonable in price & the car never felt so good. I would highly recommended them by far. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable with my most important investment.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Battery, Oil change

I have nothing but good things to say about the Team at Powertech. Mike and Keith have a passionate group of people working here. They have a combination of great quality, professional service and a fair price that is exceedingly rare in the Porsche world and in the Northeast. They are also one of the few shops I know who seem as comfortable with early air cooled Porsches as they are with the Modern stuff. Seeing the amazing collection of customer cars is always a treat as well. Cannot recommend them highly enough.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Brakes, Brake service & repair

Had my 996 turbo at this shop between August21 - Nov21, to have the coolant lines welded and lots of other bits refreshed. Scheduling was easy and communicative. Car was in the shop for quite a while due to parts delays so can t fault the shop. Had a lot of other services done while the engine was out and I can say I am happy 90%Only issue was a gasket they replaced failed shortly after I took the car out of storage from winter and moved to the West Coast in Feb22, and drove the car again. And I m not blameless either, I forgot to ask for the failed gasket from the shop that redid it, and plus I moved so it s not like I gave PowerTech the ability to make it right on their end necessarily. But it was still costly to have redone, and not a good feeling after having so much work done with one shop.Overall, was the gasket issue a bummer, absolutely, especially after the amount spent on all the services. Is the shop to blame, I can t say for sure. Would I still take my car here if I was close by, yes. I see it as an unfortunate coincidence of me only be able to drive the car move after moving, still sucks.

I bought my vehicle from Powertech, it s been in their service since 2013. My last visit was awful. I tried bring in another vehicle. I was told they could not accommodate me. The work done on my car this visit not thoroughly done. I called several times and wrote several emails and never had a response for them. They made it completely clear they do not need and do not want my business. I do not trust their work or appreciate their attitude.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Brakes, Air conditioning, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

Bought a used PSE for my 2008 porsche c4s. Powertech had the best price for install and they were professional and thorough. Some of my lugs were not torqued all the way so the shop went around all wheels to make sure they were all torqued to spec. They didn't have to go out of there way to do that but they did and I appreciate it. The exhaust was installed perfectly. One of the clamps were rusted so badly so they had some on hand to replace them with. Car sounds perfect now and I can't be happier.

Mike and the team are excellent. They know P-Cars better than any service department at a dealer, are honest, and their pricing blows away a dealer. I trust my 997 CS and Cayenne Turbo to Powertech whenever I need a service.

A fellow Porsche owner gave me PowerTech as a must have Porsche repair/maintenance resource in Morris County. I m a new owner of a 2015 Boxster and had Mike at PowerTech inspect my new baby. Great service and fair pricing. Highly recommended.

I've been going to Powertech for several years with several different porsche- I'm a hobbyist and do a lot of motorsport with my cars. These guys are extremely knowledgeable, effective and extremely reasonably priced for the work they do. They've done everything from factory-fresh repairs to more creative motorsport tuning activities like welding roll cages etc on my cars.I come from a tech background myself with extremely high standards for perfection and Powertech has NEVER disappointed me in all the years I've interacted with them.

Would never trust my car here. Read the abbreviated timeline below and make up your own mind. The duct tape in my transmission even beats my car getting stuck in 3rd gear driving away from their shop and the zip ties they threw around my shift cables. Top notch price...lousy work:January 19, 2015:Have Sachs Sport Pressure plate installed on a Porsche 911 Turbo, but only a stock clutch replacement and a resurfacing of the dual mass flywheel were recommended. Also, the parking brake handle was pulling up too high, which Powertech adjusted.Install New Clutch: $4763Adjust Parking Brake Handle: ~$200Picked up the car from Powertech, drove onto the highway a short distance away, go to shift out of 3rd gear nope transmission stuck in 3rd gear. Got off at the first exit and pulled into a fast food parking lot. Call Mike Daino. Well, I already left for the night. Can you make it back to the shop and get picked up or have it flat-bedded? So, my wife now drives back another 30 minutes to come get me after I limp my Porsche back to Powertech entirely in 3rd gear on a brand new clutch after paying a nearly $8,000 bill (had 3 radiators replaced as well). The following day the car needs to be pushed into the shop and manually pulled out of 3rd gear from underneath the car. No explanation on what caused the problem.February 1, 2015:Emailed Mike Daino about zip ties I found around my transmission shift cables under my car. Two days later, Mike replies back and suggests I call, which I do, and he says the zip ties are there for an added measure to keep the cables in place. I express my displeasure at not even being consulted on that, plus I had to replace / reroute one of the zip ties since it was crushing a rubber boot around one of the cables.March 30, 2015:Email Mike Daino about the parking brake handle: The problem now is that the handle is off center when raised. It pulls right (passenger side). This has caused a crack in the plastic housing. To avoid bringing the car back to you for a minor issue, I figured I d adjust it if I could. In short, even after adjusting the cables at the wheels by turning the adjustment knobs through the rotors, the handle hasn t moved at all, and the problem still exists. The further up I pull it, the further right it goes putting more pressure on the cracked housing. April 10, 2015:Powertech examined the hand brake lever, partially disassembled it and reinstalled and repositioned the retaining pin (which it would certainly seem was incorrectly done the FIRST time).Cost: an additional $367May 5, 2017:Upon hearing intermittent noises from my engine compartment, the new shop finds:TECH FOUND DAMAGED CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING DUE TO CRACKED CARRIER. TECH ALSO FOUND LARGE AMOUNT OF GRAY DUCT TAPE ON CLUTCH FORK AND PRESSURE PLATE. LIKELY DUCT TAPE ENTRAPPED CAUSED DAMAGE TO CLUTCH COMPONENT. DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL AXIAL PLAY WAS FOUND OUTSIDE ALLOWABLE TOLERANCE FOR SECONDARY PLATE LONGITUDAL MOVEMENT. REMOVED SACH PERFORMANCE CLUTCH PRESSURE PLATE AND STOCK OEM TURBO CLUTCH DISC. SIGNIFICANT WEAR VISIBLE TO PRESSURE PLATE SURFACE.Diagnosis Cost: $328Repair Cost: $4615Well, needless to say after the DUCT TAPE WAS FOUND IN MY TRANSMISSION as well as the myriad other issues documented, my car has never been and will never be back to Powertech.
