I was working on a build and I ran into some hurdles with plumbing. An fittings, hoses that sort of thing. After ordering so many wrong things online & wasting wads of cash. Enough was enough. Not to mention the shipping times that were delaying my project. Long story short. I found Bruce after searching high and low for a place with the materials I needed. Bruce had everything in stock with in 10 mins I got everything I needed. Also there was one particular fitting that was to long for my waste gate. This guy machined the bolts to the proper size on his lathe. I ran into another issue with intercooler piping. I had to cut the pipe shorter and need to replace the bead on the end. 5 mins or less he rolled a bead right in his shop. He has everthing. Machine shop , aluminum welding, and all the little gadgets it to get the project done.

Bruce and his wife has always treated me nicely i recently purchased a full fuelab fuel system from them. They are always pleasant and were able to get parts next day. A large selection of hoses and couplers on hand.

I called and asked for arp head bolts. Bruce's wife helped me out. When I got there 20 mins later Bruce had them on the counter. If you are a real gearhead you will find a friend in Bruce and his wife. He is the real deal and can offer real tech advice.

Truly the worst experience I ve ever had with any business in my life.Dropped my truck off for some work to be done. Work was never completed and parts somehow went missing and were never replaced. The truck also sat in a lot with windows OPEN getting rained and destroyed for 5-6 months before I finally had enough of it and demanded my truck back.This is when I discovered the condition of my truck and the missing parts,I called the police they came to the business, most definitely felt my pain and they told me it s a common thing this business always has problems.One of the deputies even had a similar experience where he was mistreated by this business before he was a police officer so he told me he knows all about them and he s sorry they can't do more.Apparently I couldn t prove what parts were there even though I had receipts because I had no video/picture proof I actually dropped them off.So it was cut my losses and discover how some people simply don t have morals whether they own a business or not.If I could give negative 5 stars I would.

Always very nice bruce was always there to do research and help find hard to find parts! His wife has also been a sweetheart! Rest in peace bruce i will never forget you! Thank you for putting up with all of my odd parts requests while i was a dumb teenager!

sadly bruce passed away very suddenly this year 2023 just 1 day after his birthday ,many of us drag racers knew him for close to 40 years, the racing knowledge he had was amazing . his engine machining skills among the best,he will be missed by the many he well served , RIP BRUCE

I've had mixed experiences there. My dad and I have been there plenty of times, and Bruce/his wife/the other guy have always been nice for the most part. The only bad experiences I have had was Bruce said he was capable of tuning my truck, then when I went back about 6 months later and wanted my truck tuned, Bruce said it was impossible to tune Ford trucks and got quite angry. For the most part though, they're good people. I think Bruce is the type of person that when he is having a bad day it is best to avoid him.

Please don't EVER do business with Bruce at his "Speed Shop". He was rude and nasty. So much for the customer always comes first. My youngest son was looking around while my oldest son shopped to pick out things to rebuild his Jeep body, etc. My youngest was just looking around, and of course, being a child, touching some things. Bruce himself told my son to put his hands in his pockets or leave(twice). When I confronted Bruce to tell him it was uncalled for, treating my son that way, he told me I was a bad mother and that he couldn't wait for me to leave the store. He could have gotten some good business from me and my family as my son is constantly buying parts for his Jeep and I have a 2011 Challenger that I am modifying. Bruce apparently doesn't want to treat the customer nicely. You should never purchase anything from him. And as an addendum, my son wasn't being wild or noisy or dropping anything. Anyone who could be that mean and rude doesn't deserve to own his own shop. I wish I could give him negative stars.

Poor customer service. If I could give them a half star, I would. On 5/18/20, an order was made directly to this vendor via phone specifically asking for a Weather Tech bug and stone deflector for a 2017 Honda Civic EX-T. When asked, the item # was provided directly from the Weather Tech website, for this specific car. The store owner placed the order himself & stated he had the item in-stock already for this specific car and that it could be picked up the next day, 5/19/20. When I picked it up and took it home, I put the empty box with the recyclables since the recyclable company was there to pick up all other recyclables. Later, I looked at the part and put it against my vehicle, I noticed it was the wrong part I was looking for. The sticker on the part showed it was for a Chevrolet Cruze 16-18. I never took it out of the original plastic packaging. I went to return it in 5/20/20 & they refused to take it back, because I didn t have the original box it came in. I explained the circumstances, recyclable day and the wrong part # on the sticker. I even offered to buy another box for them to put it in or even change it for the right part. The owner refused everything. He even lied & said he needed the original box to ship it back to the manufacture, which is in Illinois. First, they never ordered it for shipment to their company as it was already in-stock for who knows how long. Plus, I called manufacturer in Illinois and they said they don t need it shipped back to them in the original box. Additionally, they couldn t have ordered it fromIllinois on 5/18/20 & received it the morning of 5/19/20. They just wanted the money for the item and didn t care that it was the wrong item for my car. Plus they didn t care that it was still in the original plastic packaging with the tape on the item itself. My son is out of almost $63 for an item that is not even the right part for my vehicle like the owner Bruce said it was. My son even asked them over the phone if this item was specifically for my vehicle and the owner said it was. Just because I didn t have the original box anymore, they didn t want to store it back if their store even though I offered to buy a new box for them. Very poor customer service. Don t trust them! They lie to your face too when he said he ordered it & received it from the manufacturer that quickly less than 24-hrs from the order made over the phone on 5/18/20. And about needing the original box to ship it back to manufacturer. I verified with the manufacturer myself that they did not need the original box for it to be shipped to them & the manufacturer in Illinois did not even take they order or ship them this item. Poor character and customer service. Please deal with anyone else but Bruce s Sport Shop. I should make a police report, which I might just do.

Over the years Bruce has and his wife have helped me out quite a bit with various projects They are always very patient and understanding, and I enjoy Bruce's humor. This shop has a wide selection of products and when I need something special they can get it quickly.

Bruce and Margaret have always been very helpful and accommodating to me. From my monthly nitrous bottle refills, to ordering parts, and even letting me crimp terminal ends onto the 1 gauge power wire I bought at his shop... they have always been a huge help. Bruce is super knowledgeable too and often takes the time to explain mechanical knowledge to me when it is something that is new to me.

Recently visited Bruce s for a supercharger install on my 4 runner. Extremely knowledgeable, recommended the product and he got the one I needed. Installation was completed ahead of agreed time, kept me in loop through out the whole process. Very happy with the install , glad I picked Bruce s.

This is a speed shop. You go to a speed shop for parts, knowledge and occasionally help with a build. I prefer a speed shop to be owned and/or managed by a racer (not a 1/4mi guy). This place hits the mark.As far as their attitude and customer service, I've found the staff to be friendly and endearing, although sometimes Bruce's humor is dry, sprinkled with sarcasm and can be misinterpreted. He demonstrates a low tolerance for the wrong attitude. Prices are either standard or good.I have recommended Bruce's many times and will continue to do so.

They definitely have an attitude at times but they typically will have what you need in stock. They've come in handy more times than I can count. Bruce tends to lighten up once you've been there a couple times and will joke with you. But, I agree that it can be off putting at times especially if you don't know the terminology for certain parts and they correct you. Ultimately, you go for parts, not smiling faces!I would give them 5 stars but the fact they charge you now to help you find out what size fitting you need is a bit much... I get their time is valuable but this is going too far if you ask me. I still go there none the less and they can be very helpful if they see you put ANY effort into what you are trying to do.

Well I have to agree that when I first started going there the customer service was pretty bad. Not sure if all of that caught up to the place, cause it is better. No more condescending comments from behind the counter.Good hours.Fair prices.Chevy guy. If you are not a Chevy owner, it has to be a universal part to be in stock.Decent parts stock.

Unreal, I had the same experience as most of the others who took the time to write a review. I've been in to the store half a dozen times, noticed the attitude but didn't give it much thought until today when Bruce (I guess it was, big attitude, bigger mullet) started bitching me out and eventually told me to shop elsewhere. Nice customer service, avoid this place at all costs. In addition to being a giant douche the place is overcrowded with parts and way over priced. I'll never step foot in that hole again.

Better spending your money some where else. The only two people that run the show can give a **** less if you're actually trying to buy anything. You can't even walk the store, unless their only useful employee helps you out( some woman), or you get kicked out! Can you imagine going to Target and you can't even be allowed to look at items unless a sales associates helps you! I I truly enjoy writing great reviews for businesses, but i just had to write this one. Worst experience I have ever had.

Don't shop here if you want to be treated like a customer!! I went in to purchase some lug bolts and the first guy was very helpful and I made my purchase no problem. I purchased the wrong size so I went to exchange it for the correct size. So I guess it's Bruce I got when I returned and he tells me "didn't you read the receipt it says no returns or exchanges"? (who reads their receipts?) Normally when you make a purchase and something is not returnable there is a sign somewhere or you are told by the salesman and neither of those happened. I tell him that I had no issues returning the incorrect size at Mothers Performance down the street. He just sits there with a blank look on his face. So I say "you're not very personable" and says nothing back to me.

They always have what I need in stock with fair prices. I go there maybe 4 times a year and recently bought a Powermaster starter for my 440. There was a problem with the starter and they gave me no hassle exchanging (did not even check the receipt). I guess it would be nice to know the owner appreciates your business but I'd rather have no BS and a source for parts near by.

Doesn't even deserve one star. First off, he doesn't like to be bothered. Try to get in contact with him and you have to get passed his miserable wife. Had a slight oil leak and I wanted to see what was causing it. Bruce had the car for several days and claims that he tightened a few bolts on the oil pan. He drove the car around, put it on the lift and cleaned it up with about "8" cans of brake cleaner. Then he hits me with a $330 bill. Definition of a rip off.These comments dont lie. Bring your car elsewhere.

Racist people who after my husband stood at the counter for 10 mins couldn t bother to help him after saying excuse me multiple times. Lady sitting in there reading a magazine who looked up looked at my husband and put her head back down to read instead of saying sure what can we help you with! The owner Bruce look at the part and sat down and started reading an auto book. My husband said all the years here this was the first blatantly racist experience in this area! Car Craft Audio was able to help and order the part he needed!

I needed to change the brakes on my 2008 Corvette Z06 for a track event I wanted to attend and my stock brakes were shot. I looked at the usual suspects for a full set of calipers, rotors, pads and was amazed at how confusing and non-helpful many of the usual brake companies were. I had the opportunity to meet a representative from Wilwood Brakes and was pleasantly surprised about the willingness to share knowledge, listen to my requirements and work with me to put together a custom set of front, rear rotors, with matching calipers and a mixture of pads that would suit my track and street requirements.In talking to Wilwood they recommended Bruce's Speed Shop and I went to talk to them about the set-up and installation. I found Bruce and everyone at the shop to be extremely pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. I had the parts shipped there and Bruce worked on the car and installed the brakes. The installation work was done extremely well. All bolts, nuts, etc. were torqued correctly and the calipers, pads and rotors sat true to the axis. Also, for the first time in a quite a few years the brakes were bedded perfectly! Many people and mechanics talk about bedding the pads, but in my experience few have mastered how to do it correctly.Needles to say, I will be using the services of Bruce's Speed Shop in the future and am glad that I have "discovered" them and Wilwood as a brake supplier.

Bruce sourced a hard to find factory backordered part for me. (No where to be found, anywhere). He had it for me the next day !! This got me out of a bind. I can't be happier. This is exactly how to run a business. Thanks !

Take your business somewhere else! Bruce(the owner) is a complete a**hole! I asked him a simple question and he got all bent out of shape and hung up on me. There are plenty of other speed shops around to go to. Steer clear of this place!
