It was a nice store and very clean, the employees could be a little bit more friendly and more sort of when letting you know that they are available to help you. The employee that gave me my order was satisfactory but not exemplary and yesterday there was an employee that looked like we were asking him to fly to the moon when he checked the OBDII on my vehicle.

The worker that help me his name is Brad. I really can say his was and is the best worker for any place I have been to. He went above and beyond my expectations when I needed help from diagnosing the problem to helping replace the part. He is a blessing in this world and all I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Cant remember his name but to the employee that worked late today 7/2/23. Thank you for curtacy and willingness to help a person/family long way from home and in a jam. You deserve a raise my man.

I ve been here several times over the last few years and it s honestly one of the most miserable experiences. The employees hate their jobs and hate answering simple questions. God forbid you ask a question about your CAR. It s sad because it s a nice store but the guy with the beard and attitude makes it really miserable. Won t be going there again.

Good service from all the workers there and they definitely don t want you to leave that store with a broken cars. It will do what it takes as far as looking at it and trying to find out as much info as they can.

I ordered a part via their web site (a battery) and it went super smoothly. Within 25 minutes of placing the order I received an e-mail letting me know the battery was ready for pickup. Plus, the battery I bought was $90 less than the dealer price, and it was a better battery (more cranking amps). Advance Auto was the only parts store that carried an exact-fit battery, and I would have had to drive almost 45 minutes to the nearest dealer for a higher priced, lower amp battery. It was awesome to find a solid deal closer to home. So, why not 5 stars? Well....Their web site said they were open at 9 a.m. Between 9 and 10 a.m. I called 4 times and no one picked up the phone and it never went to voicemail. I was trying to verify that the battery I needed was in stock. I live almost half an hour from the store and didn't want to have my friend drive me there only to find out they didn't have one.Also, I couldn't find any option to have them send me a text message telling me when the part was ready for pickup. Only e-mail for the notice?Hey, 4 stars is a positive review. Maybe they'll read this review and make some changes, and I'll be happy to bump my next review to 5 stars if they do.

Had a new battery installed. In and out quick. Made the mistake of going to the place down the street first, they said they couldn't install my battery. Normally go here and will continue to do so.

Big man with the ponytail behind the counter didn't want to honor our battery warranty and expected us to sit for 4 hours when our home store said it would take a half an hour (home store is 2 hours away or i would have gladly gone there). Would NOT come out to test in vehicle or test the alternator. Said the store didnt have the capability.

They force you to keep their goods even when they don't work on your car. This Puerto Rican dude thinks he is being smart but it's one store I would advise you not to spend your hard earned cash.

The guy with the beard have zero customer service skills to just sit their while another employee doesn t know simple questions about an easy to solve problem and to then grab a car key and use it as an tool when theirs a store full of tools right next to him reels me you totally given up on this store it my fault I think I ll just pop in and grab something normal and then make the mistake of asking if theirs any difference between a product and get the biggest don t care attitude I walk out angry at myself for going their no one is ever just nice and if your happy with the service the beard guy gives then it must be my mistake I thought you would want people to enjoy spending money at your store but since he s been their forever tells me you ve given up on this store long ago

Visited this Advance Auto in Rio Grande having some battery issues. I explained to the guy working behind the counter that both batteries I had were giving me issues. One was from my boat which had a brand new alternator and the other was from my Ford Excursion. I explained the truck would be fine unless it was idling too long then would stall with a dead battery. I thought maybe the alternator on the Excursion was going bad. When I asked if he could test the alternator,he stated it needed to me brought in and bench tested. My local Advance was able to do it in other vehicles while still installed. Instead he rudely stated that he can't tell me any more than my dash guage says. I explained I don't have a dash gauge and he rudely said bring it inside and I'll bench test it. I then asked it he could just test the batteries. I was told rudely to bring them inside and I did. After about 12 seconds on the tester he said I need to leave them each for 4 hours to charge before he could test them correctly. I called my local Advance back home and the guy there assured me if they are that low they are already no good and should both be replaced under warranty. He also stated all Advance Autos have a 30 minute quick charger . Only after explaining this to the man working here in Rio Grande did he just walk to the shelf, pick the batteries up that matched mine and placed them on a cart telling me to take my batteries. Very rude, very unprofessional and very ignorant. I don't ever want to see someone lose their job but this type of rude behavior requires a special type of person, and they should definitely not be working where they deal with customers one on one. I'll be contacting the district manager next about this. Consider customer service skills wmfor this man or maybe stick him in the back away fromm customers. I didn't catch his name but he was larger with glasses and very long hair.

Just stopped at the store which was just closing. Customer Service was exceptional! The gentlemen told my husband he needs a new alternator. We bought one and he pretty much put the whole thing on the truck for us. The store was closing and he was told he had to clock out. The gentleman clocked out and finished the job!!! I haven't encounter someone like him in a long time. I will definitely recommend this store. I hope this guy gets a promotion.

Unfortunately they didn't have one thing that I needed in stock. But the gentleman was very helpful on giving me other options to get the job done. Unfortunately all would make it take a little longer if I needed to order a part, even if they ordered it. That's not his fault

Came at 8:40 on a Friday and the google listing says they are open til 9. When I asked one employee if they were closed he completely ignored me. When I asked the other employee he replied "uh, yeah". I said "okay, just so you know your google listing says 9." The second employee replied with, "well that says 8:30 doesn't it?" Pointing at the hours of operation on the door. My father and myself have been long time customers of this location and won't be returning.

Staff was awesome! Had a car battery die on our vacation. Was able to drive in with no appointment, got problem diagnosed, and replaced in about 20 minutes. Saved the day!

Staff is friendly and usually very helpful if you need to find a part or lookup some information on a vehicle that you need parts for.The store usually has most parts in stock for same day pickup which is great when you can't wait for a car part.It's usually the cheapest part shop in the area if you order from the website with coupons and pickup in store.

Went in for an air freshener and cleaner the employee stood over me until another customer was at the counter. He asks the customer to donate to a charity and the customer declined but kept asking as many as 3 times. I left and went to another store.

They couldn't find the part that I needed, but it wasn't for lack of trying. The part was too new, and only Ford had it (I did find it at Rock auto). The guys really went out of their way to help, and even lent me tools (including the elusive 10mm socket!)

Waited in line too long while the one clerk was just helping a customer the other clerk went in the back room, my husband had to go and call him for help. A woman behind me left without her product so they lost a sale.

Went in looking for a license plate frame they had a pretty good selection haven't had to buy one in a long time seems like the prices are sky-high
