I had an appointment for a wheel alignment. I arrived early the tech who checked me in was very professional. The tech who completed the service was precise and quick with completing the task. He greeted me as I was leaving. I am very please with the service received. All the staff was very professional they all are knowledgeable and quick to assist customers as they enter the store from what I saw while sitting in the waiting room not one customer was ignored upon there arrival into the store. I would bring my car back to this Pepboys location on Stelton Rd in Piscataway.

I had an exceptional experience at Pep Boys when I needed assistance with a flat tire. The customer service was outstanding! The staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to fix my tire quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Pep Boys for their excellent service and friendly staff. They were able to quickly assist and get me on my way.

If i could submit 0 stars i would...I went back yesterday trying to give this place one more chance because I've been going here 10+ years now, but I'm done with this location after the 2nd bad experience...dropped my car off at 8:15am for an oil change, tire rotation, check a slow leak on my back left tire and check for a leak coming from one of my oil cooler lines.. I had to call at 2:30 to see what was going on because they do not utilize the steps advertised on the website...all they did was change the oil, told me they found no coolant leak, even though I never said to check for a coolant leak, mind you the oil leak is still happening as we speak...checked my tire pressures after leaving last night and the back left tire is STILL low, please see pic, pretty sure that tire was never patched, even tho I was charged the $21...guess I'll have to wait and see after taking my car somewhere else tomorrow...this place used to be great and declined real fast about a year ago...this long time customer is gone

This place does not deserve any star at all. I took my car there since it was making a weird noise in the front hood. They run diagnostic testing but couldn t figure out what was wrong with the car. When we went to pickup the car they told us that the car passed diagnostic testing and that they couldn t figure out the cause of the weird noise. They gave us a month warranty to return the car for service. The funny part is the problem was never fixed in the first place. We decided to take the car to jiffy lube and believe it or not they figured the problem. They run diagnostic which passed and proceeded to look further into the issue and it turned out the car needed engine oil flush. Since then we don t have any issues. When I notified pep boys, they told me that we requested car diagnostics. So, I guess they didn t bother to look further or even notify us that they were doing so. Long story short, I will never go back to this place again. They do a horrible job, just take your car elsewhere.

so I came in for a tire repair. I was told by one guy I had to buy a whole new tire which was fine. The next guy told I just needed to repair the tire. I was so happy . Saved money and they could have lied to me make me pay for new tire but they did right and I'm coming back next week for more work.10/10

I took my car here to install 4 new tires. The price was very competitive, but the quality of the technicians is poor. It took them over 90 min to install 4 tires. That was after waiting an hour for my car to be pulled into an open bay. The first problem was the weights for balancing the tire were ripped off by my brakes due to improper installation. When I finally got my car back it had a very strong pull to the left. I think something was off with the brake that the weights hit. It was puling to the same side that I found random weight on when I looked. Not sure but it did get better after I had them correct the air pressure that was inconsistent and 5 lbs low in the rear and 3 lbs difference in the front two tires. But I am not done yet, one of the tires was installed backwards. Meaning the tire was marked this side inside and it was installed outside. Luckily, I found that. When I called them, they were not very helpful telling me that they have a lot of appointments and the best they could do is the next day. This is to fix something they incorrectly installed

I have been serviced by Gordon several times and every time he is very attentive and knowledgeable. Every time I see him work he always gives service with a smile. The job is always complete and I leave satisfied every time.

I saw a promotion on-line for Black Friday. The deal was good so I booked my appointment. The gentleman at the register was welcoming. I did inform him that alone with 4 new tires I d like them to take a look at my tire pressure light as it appears my TPMS may be bad and if so to replace it. I dropped my car off and received a call several hours later saying my car was done. When I arrived I was the only one in the store. I was there an HOUR! The gentleman at the register told me my total was over $1200. However, my order was for $849. He changed my order in the system for some reason and couldn t get the pricing I originally had. It took an hr to fix. When it was all said and done I ended up paying $10 more than I was supposed to and my TPMS wasn t fixed and the light was on. He offered no real courtesy, no free oil change, no coupon for future, nothing. I was late for an executive meeting. I don t think I ll go back again.

At first I was hesitating on booking an appt with Pep Boys, I have had a bad experience in the past with them. But I did it anyway because I was able to book an appt asap for my car. This Pep Boys on Stelton Road was awesome, Ariel was very friendly, explained what they found and completed my service quickly. I am going back for two more tires this Friday.The previous Pep Boys in Bridgewater (over by the Promenade) those boys were not organized and higher ups did not know what they were talking about when then stated that they did have a tire sensor that matches my Make and Model of my car. This was back in 2022-2023. Needless to say, They jacked up my car, I eventually told the guy just take the old sensor off and leave it with out it. I will order the piece from the car dealer and have it installed another day. I believe i wrote a review about this back then. Glad I found a place that know what they are talking about.

I took my vehicle to them because it was rattling real hard once I got up 70mph. So I already knew I had a leak in the Power steering which I had got a estimate for $485 in NC. So they charged me $1,745 and the problem still wasn't fixed. So I took it another shop and all I needed was a back tire that was causing the problem.

I got 4 new tires installed been back and forth 3 times and still my car is shaking. Either these people don t know what there doing or they don t care. I m very disappointed; it feels very unsafe driving on the highway with this aggressive shaking.

Really worst service ever. I went in there, making an appointment for my flat tire and I was sent back saying that they are just about an hour to go home. I was literally helpless. I went in there the next day on my appointment and on time. still I had to wait for three and half hour And I was already on my break from work. I was unfortunately forced to have a half day off which end up costing me a lot of money. I cannot believe that they took 3.5 hours to get just tire replaced with enough number of employees and no one before me in the queue , I also heard from other customers there who arrived after me, will have to wait for hours to get their car work done. I learned it hard way that I'm never gonna come back to Pep Boys again.

All my brake problems were fixed. Excellent. However, one of my tires was leaking slowly, and they did not find where the problem is. My tire is still leaking.

I called as soon as they opened at 8am to express my concern of a nail in my tire. I purchased the road hazard so I knew it shouldn't had cost me anything for them to plug it. I was told that I could come in but it would take an hour. (In my head I'm thinking why would it take that long to plug a tire?) I get there 15 minutes later to be told now that it would take an hour and a half (Just to plug my tire) I decided to wait BUT it actually took over 2 hours. They were doing all kinds of other checks on the car instead of just doing what I requested. After getting my car back, the tire was fixed but I had other warning lights now displaying that wasn't on when I arrived. It looks like they unhooked the battery because my Radio was asking for the bypass code and that only happens when the car is completely unhooked from the battery. My Auto Engine Idle stop is now saying it is unavailable as well. I don't know what they did to my car but all I asked them to do is plug my tire and it took them over 2 hours to do that. Why would someone buy the road hazard if when they are in need of using it, they cannot handle getting those little things done in a timely manner. And why would I agree to allowing you to put brakes on my car that you suggested if knowing that when you touch the car, I will have other issues and the wait time is extreme. Now I have to get someone else to look at my car to see what they did.

The scheduling/check in/check out process is great. Staff is also very friendly and easy to deal with. Always a great overall experience, my primary complaint is I don't think all the checks were completed and I received the vehicle with new issues which is surprising since before the flat tire. My vehicle was running perfectly since I had it serviced.

Avoid this shop at any cost. Took my vehicle for tire rotation. After 45 minutes of waiting, vehicle was returned as is. It looked like they didn't even take vehicle in the bay (shop). Untrustworthy employees and technicians. Avoid unless you want more problems with you vehicle.

I went to Pep boys for replacing my car battery. I usually go to this location as it's closer to my home and is convenient. While installing the batteries Pep boys damaged my car wiring and the car started giving problems two days after the service. I went back and gave my car for checking. Pep boys called back saying my car wiring is damaged and needs replacement. They charged me $450 for new wiring. When I went for pickup I noticed the damaged wiring had fresh cuts and must have been caused when pep boys were replacing the batteries. I ended up paying about $700 for a $250 job as Pep boys caused this additional damage to my car. The pep boys kept on saying that the damage is done by me. Pep boys has lost me as a customer.Update 1/15/2024: my apologies for the low rating. The damage was indeed caused by the squirrel as I had this problem again. I have changed the rating and I apologize for my ignorance about the issue.

I am so disappointed and annoyed with Piscataway Pepboys. I got 4 new tires a little over a month ago. Upon driving it home, the TPMS light came on. I could tell that there was a sufficient amount of air in the tires so I drove to work and called Pepboys. I was told to bring my car back and it would be a quick fix. I brought my car back, drove back to Pennsylvania where I currently live for work, and the very next day the TPMS light came back on. I called and brought the car again when I could. This time, I left it overnight and asked them to change my oil while it was there. When I picked it up the following day, as I was walking out the door I said to the guy, "Damn, I should have asked you guys to check the breaks and rotors!" He assured me, "Oh don't worry they check EVERYTHING!" I'm not an idiot, I've had this car since 2014 and knew something was wrong with the breaks. Sure enough, the very next day driving to work the TPMS light came on again!!! I brought the car back the following weekend and when I dropped it off, I asked to please check the breaks and rotors. I got a call saying that I need new front breaks and rotors, AND rear shocks!!! I opted for them not to fix it. I picked up my car when they were done recalibrating the tires and went back to Pennsylvania. Upon driving to work today within the first half hour of my drive, THE TPMS LIGHT CAME ON YET AGAIN. I called Piscataway Pepboys and told them that it's on yet again! I asked if I could bring my car to a Pepboys in Pennsylvania to let them hopefully successfully fix this calibration problem. I will never patronize Piscataway Pepboys again as long as I can help it. I think it's unfair that I'm spending all of this time while they "fix" a problem that wasn't a problem until I spent almost $700 on new tires with them. I also don't appreciate being told, "Don't worry they check everything! Your breaks are good!" When they did not check my breaks and in fact told me that I need new breaks rotors and shocks. My safety is in their hands and they don't give a damn it seems like. I'm so disappointed.

Service and quality was good. They had no record of my purchase so my road hazard warrantee was not honored. I sent my bank record of the purchase of tires. He "ghosted" since then.

Highly recommend!! Service was awesome! The workers up front were very welcoming..Phones were ringing back to back with a line of customers in the shop and they made sure every customer was being helped!! Got my tires balanced (amazing job btw) even with a wait it took about a hour! Thank you guys!

2.5 hours for a scheduled oil change and tire rotation that was told 1 hour max. Quoted $85 when giving keys and then upped it to $90 and added additional shop fees (plus tax which was expected). They didn t tell me when the car was done and I had to walk up and check if my car was out and done and tell them. They do not update the service follower. Only good thing if they didn t try to upsell me on things and had a 25% off coupon that brought it down near the original quieted price. Tons of shops in the area so will try a new one next time.

I had not a pleasant dealings with Pep boys at Stelton Road more than few times. The associates were not polite enough and have no customer service moto.
