*REAL REVIEW * 0 STARS *On July 28, 2023 I had suspension repair done at Roberts Transmission Service. On August 24, 2023 while I was driving, the control arm bushing came off causing damage to the right front axle, strut, sway bar link, and control arm. I had my car repaired at the nearest shop. I will update this review pending resolution. I can only hope their customer service is better than their "repairs" performed on my vehicle.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Your transmission going sucks. But having a guy you can trust to fix it properly is hard. Not at Roberts Transmission in Perth Amboy. He picked it up immediately and had it back to me as promised. He kept me well informed about all work being done and is a true gentleman. A man of pride you can tell because his shop is spotless and his work speaks for itself. Highly recommend!

Best transmission shop in town and my go to mechanic from now on. Even tho my car gave them a lot of trouble to fix, they stuck to their word and fixed it without charging extra when any other mechanic shop would ve taken advantage and charge me out of pocket. Happy with the results, car is running like new.

I had a Transmission problem & called Robert and was told to come in the next day, I am So Happy that I did just that! My Transmission was Gone! Robert told me step by step what they would do and how much it would cost! I had additional issues which I had known about & he repaired those as well! Didn t charge me any Extra! Was more concerned about my Safety! If you need Any Automotive Repairs PLEASE go see him! You will Not be Sorry! The prices are reasonable and he goes far beyond what he should to make Sure your vehicle is repaired for the Fairest Price & more important, that You are safe! Brought my vehicle to me and I was put at ease that I didn t have to travel to him! ROBERT IS NOW LIKE FAMILY!!!

Bad place to get a transmission work does not talk with the true leaves everything loss my transmission come out the problem with my truck wasn t even the transmission it was my 4x4 he still went and change it and he over price me I payed $5,500 just so it can still be bad I recommend to not go there with your car to get any type of work hope they go out of business

Robert is a very talented mechanic who explained everything clearly. He also took some pictures of the new parts that he bought for the repair and sent them to me by cell phone. Price was very good for a transmission rebuild and new rotors and break pads. Also the car was done on time.I would recommend him to friends and family. . Great Job Robert car is running like new. I had a fantastic experience here. Robert was recommended by my regular mechanic. He diagnosed what I already believed to be the problem. He fixed it quickly and efficiently and also let me know what else was wrong with my car. He also quickly did some additional work because I was worried. Great experience and a fair price! Robert has worked on a few of my cars and I have to say that he is the most honest, fair mechanic I have worked with. I will always take my vehicles to him in the future. He's knowledgeable and explains everything. Amazing! Go see Robert for all your car care needs!

This man is professional, trustworthy, and very honest. Recommended by my general mechanic, not only did he diagnose and fix the problem, he remained informative throughout the entire process working diligently and relieving all uncertainties demonstrating his efficiency. I used Robert's transmission almost a year ago to replace my transmission, he also found oil leak and muffler problem. He is such a great guy, but especially a great mechanic and businessman. The price he gave me back then was fabulous,, he fixed my muffler so that it would last a little longer at that time.I . just took my car back last week to do a service on my trans, oil change and replace my muffler, he did brake job etc. Also, again the cost was reasonable, and he only keeps the car for 1 to 2 days only. I highly recommend him to do all of your vehicle needs. I am going back within the next few months to have him replace my tires. I have a Ford expedition 2007 , and Iwent to Robert transmission to get it fix , he is a nice person he help me fixing my car, I m really happy with his work , I m glad to have him when I need him to do work in my car.

Brought my car here without exact knowledge of what was wrong with my car. Sometimes living in the area and not being a native spanish speaker can be intimidating. When I arrived Roberts uncle was fixing a car, and although he couldn't speak to me directly(spanish)he made me feel comfortable until someone could. Even after waiting for a part to come in to ix the problem everything was done quickly and explained throughout the process. I will be coming back here if me or my family has any future issues!

Very patient. After I left he drove 20 minutes to where I was because I had another issue afterwards and fixed it out of the shop. Super fast work between him and his uncle. Both very polite and funny.
