RECOMMENDED HIGHLY!I am trans female & a part of the greater LGBTQ community. I like to note places that have good customer service and are accepting of LGBTQ. I had a simple tire issue and not everything went my way yet this was still a fantastic experience. The only issue was that by the time I got the car there they could not fit it in that day but promised (and delivered) to have it ready first thing in the morning. So really nothing wrong with their actions, just they way it worked out.The manager, who happened to be upfront at the time I came in, was professional and courteous. No one reacted to me in any way different then any other customer.The pricing was fair. The service was excellent and, for me, the most important was I was treated like every other customer. Not special or an issue exactly as it should be. Let me make clear they were pleasant with everyone.

What a wonderful staff!! Came in with my mother to fix a flat tire issue on her car. They inspected the damaged tire, couldn t repair it, and replaced it all within an hour. They were courteous and friendly throughout the whole experience. An excellent team!! Thank you!

Customer service was fantastic. The crew working on Sunday were professional and courteous. I replaced basically the entire front suspension on my car the night before and they took me in the very next day. I was in and out in just under an hour. Car runs straight and true. I ll recommend this location every time

Been coming here monthly for oil changes for years always had good service.I see they changed personnel and manager. Like always made an appointment for 11:30am, dropped my vehicle off, called at 2pm to see if my vehicle was ready. Was told yes so I Uber back to the shop for them to tell me it will be another hour or so. What s the point of making an appointment? I even called to check before I came back, waste of time.Won t ever come back. I value my time.

I needed a new battery and wasn't sure where to go. I hadn't been to PepBoys in years due to an unpleasant experience. But I am so glad I went today.I got the new battery within an hour and I must say the service was superb!!!. I will be going back sooner than later.

Won't be taking my car here for service again and neither should you I showed up for a 12pm appointment for an oil change. At 1pm my car still was where I parked it out front of the store. So I ask the attendant Rah, who checked me in, when can I expect my car to be worked on. He asked me if I had checked in and where my car was parked. I said you checked me in and my car is where I parked it. He then asked if I gave him the keys and I said yes you took them. It became apparent to me that he lost my keys. He asked if I could go home to get a spare set of keys. I said no. It took him over 15 minutes to find the keys. I then asked for them as I was taking my business elsewhere because I have never dealt with a Pep Boys that was this poorly managed. He offered to we have the cost of the oil change so I stayed but I still wouldn't recommend going to this place to have your car serviced. And after reading other reviews, I wish I had gone somewhere else to begin with.

I booked a 10am appointment online on Friday with specific service needs (oil change, brake check, tire check). They mentioned that I would be contacted in a couple hours once my car was in the shop to go over their complimentary inspection. At 2pm, I called them for an update and they said the car was not in the shop yet and someone would call me.. At 430pm, I called again for an update and they said my car was next to go in the shop and someone would call me soon. The shop closed at 7pm with no phone call that they were keeping my car overnight! I finally received my very first phone call the following morning at 930am on Saturday. The oil change was finally completed and after the inspection, they only recommended a brake fluid flush. I approved the flush. Three hours later, I received a phone call to pick up my car. Please note I am not some niave unrealistic car owner. I know my car and I'm knowledgeable of the work that needs to be done and reasonable service expectations. If I knew in advance that it would take 1.5 days to complete an oil change and brake fluid flush, I would have gone somewhere else! How does it possibly take that long for the most basic service?!? What if I actually needed my car?!? Why would you offer a 10am appt, only to keep my car there all-day and not work on it until the next day?!? How hard is it to provide an update and be honest about it?!? Never again.

Went in to get 4 tires mounted and balanced. Rah the manager and Jason the service advisor were both very helpful and polite got me in quickly even though it was very busy and I had to wait since I couldn't drop it off since I didn't have a ride home

I usually don t write reviews. But yesterday my car broke down while at work I had it towed to Pep Boys Around 11 AM. I get to Pep Boys in Parlin and the girl at the front desk told me that she wouldn t be able to get to my car till around 3 o clock. I asked her are you sure you going to be able to get it done today because I have work tomorrow she said yeah no problem so I said OK cool mind you I m not from around the area so I had no way to get home so I waited from 11 AM to 3 pm. At the Dunkin Donuts across the street. I go back around 4 PM and I realize that my car is still in the parking lot and they haven t even got to it yet. So I go there and she says that their technician is busy and that it might have to wait til tomorrow. I don t know why she couldn t just tell me that from the beginning, so I can make other plans and not waste my whole day. So I go home and I call them back 830 And That they re getting my car now and they re gonna call me back in Few minutes with the problem. So three hours go by and I called them back around 11am And they still haven t gotten to my car Yet. So they called me back About 20 minutes later saying that there s a problem with The starter and the estimate is 600 and they can t get starter til the next day so would have to miss two days of work. I called a tow truck and had it towed to another mechanic. And they charge me 70 bucks for a diagnosis fee!!! This is not how you treat customers! Totally disregard for my time and Money!!!!

They gave me an appointment for 6:30pm and when I got here the manager Rah said they were closing in 30mins and we needed to drop the car off. I asked them why would they allow us to make an appointment at 6:30pm if that is too late to bring the car in. He said that he doesn t like to rush him mechanics and they still had 3 cars in-front of me. I asked what time of the day can I scheduled an appointment so that I can have it serviced on the same day and he said not at 6:30pm . He went on to tell me that people should bring their cars in on days that they don t need them . The car I was trying to service belongs to my wife who has to take my son to school, go to work, then come back and pick him up. On the weekends she works in her own business. So when would that be??

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Pep Boys of ParlinI am utterly disappointed and dissatisfied with the level of service I received at Pep Boys of Parlin. After waiting for a staggering five hours, my car was still languishing in the parking lot with no progress whatsoever. Despite this egregious delay, not a single apology was offered, let alone any form of compensation for my wasted time.During my interminable wait, all I could observe was the staff leisurely chatting away on the phone, mostly dealing with complaints. It became apparent that they had ample time for idle banter and frivolous activities, yet not a shred of concern for their waiting customers. The lack of professionalism and disregard for customer care were painfully evident.Despite maintaining a respectful demeanor throughout my ordeal, I eventually reached my limit and demanded the return of my keys. It's baffling how a supposedly reputable establishment like Pep Boys could operate with such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction.Communication, or rather the lack thereof, was another glaring issue. Not once did anyone bother to update me on the status of my car or the expected wait time. It appeared as though they were leaving everything to chance, with no regard for the inconvenience caused to their patrons.As someone who was prepared to spend a significant amount on new tires, I expected a level of service commensurate with the prices charged. Unfortunately, Pep Boys of Parlin failed spectacularly in this regard. Their rude and unprofessional behavior has ensured that I will never set foot in their establishment again.In conclusion, I strongly advise against patronizing Pep Boys of Parlin. There are countless other establishments in the vicinity that offer superior service and value for money. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment steer clear of Pep Boys. They've lost a customer for life.

They maxed out my brand new $2,000 credit card I spe finally got for the repair. So going into the store they already knew I had a 2k credit amount with then m off the bat maxed it out just to receive the car back in the exact condition I brought it in for. Never again going to pepboys or any commercial mechanic again. Brought it back in with the same leiblens they told me to drip the car off and pick it up the next day.. I picked it up for them to tell me they never even brought it in to take a look at it.. I'm a busy man with a busy schedule who doesn't jabe time to go back and forth for car issues I wound up buying a new car anyway and took my honda to a non commercial mechanic and got it fixed. NEVER AGAIN!

Don t recommend anymore. Before I did oil change both our family cars price was 93$ today I disappointed because 1 employee said 160$ I don t know they wanted to overcharge me maybe.

I made an appointment with Pep-boys on Rt9 in OldBridge. This place is a joke!!! I waited for 2 1/2 hrs and my car wasn t even started! I went out and check and they were talking(chatting) about their own cars on the curbside for 1/2 hr while no one was working in the shop!!! I waited until they were done talking and approached them about my car. They then started to work on my car!!! They have no sense of urgency and careless for their own customers! No one is managing this place!!!! Another customer was complaining about the same on an oil change. He dropped off and waited 4 hrs!!!! TERRIBLE!!! 4 HRS LATER! STILL AT THIS SHOP!!!!

Sadly, appointment time means nothing. 9 am appointment time, came at 8:45. Two hours later nobody even touched the car. Had to leave without any work done. You need to have respect for the customer's time. I understand you only have one technician, but be truthful and upfront about it.

I had a frustrating experience at Pep Boys due to a significant delay and unprofessional service at the service desk. Despite being told it would take two hours, it ended up taking four. The service person seemed annoyed during pickup, making me wait an additional 20 minutes for no apparent reason, despite being the only customer. This, coupled with personal phone calls and distractions, left me feeling disappointed and like my time was not valued. The service desk's lack of efficiency and professionalism made a simple car issue turn into a day-long ordeal.I think this way they will only end up wasting their time and customers time.

Natasha & Roshando were helpful it the rest of the team were jerks you can hear them talking about you thruthe waiting room wall. Went there for a serpentine belt install made me wait 7hours only to tell me engine is shot. Gave me a $2500 estimate for timing kit and tuneup kit that were unrelated to the actual repair needed! Rashan shop manager was a total jerk! Will never use them again neither should you go some place else!!

This is really unbelievable, charging you an absurd amount just for a task. I bring in my own part and get charged and outrageous amount of money for labor and they charge you per hour. They can t give you a set price EVEN you don t use their parts. It s better to bring your business somewhere else.

Im shocked & very disappointed with the entire encounter at Parlin NJ store.Issues include quality of repaire, billing discrepancies, unprofessional & rude customer service by Nikki.It was complete chaos from the moment I walked in to my scheduled appointment till the moment I picked up the car.Manager Nikki made my entire experience very difficult & humiliating.I filed a complaint with customer service & Waiting for a call back.

Signed up 2 days in a row at 4:00. on the first day they said that we won't have time, let's wait for tomorrow! On the second day, he came at 4:00, sat and waited until 5:20. Then they came to me and said that they won't do it today either, because the master is going home now, come tomorrow morning. Just wasted my time!!!!!

Service for new tires went fine. But the service desk was another story. Told me it would be two hours, took four hours. When I went to pickup my car , the service person seemed annoyed, I was the only person there, but he had me wait another 20 mins, while he made personal phone calls. My paperwork and keys were right in front of him.

I went to this place in Old Bridge for a oil change and the young lady in the front had an attitude. She was just terrible; while I was talking to her she wasn t paying attention like she did not care.I just left because I was paying for the oil change; she was not giving it to me for free. What a terrible customer experience! :(

This shop is the worst I ve ever been to . very loud music playing the 4 hours I was there ,yes four hours to get four tires. People waiting for help at counter very unprofessional service I won t ever go back to this store again I ordered the tires on Wednesday online never was told they weren t in stock finally got different ones on Sunday
