I experienced my worst nightmare when my car broke down in an unfamiliar place with a toddler and dog with me. I called every mechanic that came up trying to see if anyone could help me get back on the road but no one had availability. But Jefferson Auto Repair told me to come in even though it was getting close to closing time. They immediately diagnosed the problem and told me despite it being close to closing time they would get it done. They even had their guys stay late to ensure I was able to get back on the road. The owner checked in on me, my son and dog (who he allowed to wait inside in their warm office) frequently to make sure we were doing ok. They finished my repairs in record time and helped me get loaded back into the car. I am forever thankful for Jefferson Auto Repair for truly going above and beyond to help me in a time of crisis!

Absolutely amazing, friendly, and professional service from everyone. I went in for an unknown leak, only to find out it was my brake fluid! They not only repaired the leak, filled my car back up, but they also cleaned out the mess and checked everything else to make sure I was safe.They're the only mechanic I'll be going to from now on!

They helped me in a right stuck one just left nyc to ca and my transmission was acting up they got it sorted pronto and had me on the road really great fast and couldn t help me more if they tried there was also a lady that had an issue who was traveling with a dog and a little baby and they helped her get back in the car same day two incredible garage

My family, which includes twin 10-month olds, was traveling to NYC for a big family event when our car broke down in West Orange (it was 97 degrees out, of course).We were frantic, but Juan and the team at the shop were totally professional and took the car in just before closing time, no sweat. They had the car running like new before we knew it, and treated me and my family like we were old friends.Easiest 5 star review of my life- thank you so much, Jefferson Auto Repair!!

I have been using them for years on all my vehicles. I wouldn t change or go anywhere else. They always explain every issue in perfect details. Prices are reasonable and the customer service is unmatched. So another repair shop at home in Brooklyn who shall not be name did a rush job on my hood latch and it flew up right as we were exiting the tunnel for a long road trip. Juan and his crew took my car straight away, and for a few bucks had us on the way in 20 minutes. Could have jammed us up but instead Saved my life and marriage. I owe you guys so much. Love. I needed 4 tires for my Ford Focus, Juan ordered them for me over the phone and within a day the very well balanced tires were installed. I had a long trip coming up and was glad to have this taken care of so quickly.I believe in supporting local businesses, and I definitely recommend this place.

Our clutch blew out on the highway, and I couldn't have been more relieved that it was near Jefferson Auto. They were honest, quick, and my car now runs like a dream. Friendly service too! They really went above and beyond!

Jefferson Auto was recommended to me by a local body shop for a repair on my Yukon. Juan really spent the time to explain to me what the problem was and what they had to do to repair it. They got the job done in a day and left me extremely satisfied with the repair. I highly recommend these guys for any auto repair, great service/value!

I took my vehicle in because I was told my engine light was on due to camshaft position sensor. Now my car was driving fine. I just like to take care of my car so I took it to a mechanic before any issues did arise. I picked up my car and the next day the engine light went on, it was Saturday. I planned to bring the car in on Monday. That Sunday the car overheated and I couldn't drive past 45 mph. On Monday I took the car back and the mechanic said I needed a brand new engine! it will cost me $3,000. any other mechanical work wouldn't make sense. This seems like a scam or something. I cannot drive the car no and It sits. My daughter and I take the bus wherever we go until we handle this situation in court. If the owner can see this please respond and do right by your clients. I brought my 2014 Mercedes Sprinter (105K miles) in because there was a "start idle" message on the dash, the truck completely lost power and I could not accelerate above 5 mph. I was told the fuel filter & air filter needed to be replaced right away in order to get the van back to running condition and other repairs could be fixed little by little. I brought the van in Thursday (9/21) and the very next day (9/22) the same problem happens to me while in Jersey City picking up goods from a customer, as I am in the courier business. I call Jefferson Auto to request a tow for the exact same problem I just paid $350+ to fix the day before. The vehicle is then towed back to Jefferson Auto and undergoes more diagnostics until Juan (owner) calls today (9/25) and tells me he cannot fix the problem because he doesn't have the ability to reset the diesel exhaust system and only the dealership can do this job, which I feel he knew from the beginning. I was then told it would be $300+ for the tow from Jersey City to West Orange and then West Orange to Union (Ray Catena), which I feel is wrong especially when I just paid 350+ the day before and not to mention missing 3+ days of work without my van aka my lifeline. I feel ripped off and would not recommend this mechanic to anyone.

The worst experience I ever had. The guy charged me a $1,000 and gave me my car back in worse condition. They also broke the latch for my hood. Please don't go there.
