Dave (tall white guy with white hair) is a scammer! We agreed for him to DIAGNOSE the vehicle, NOT WORK ON THE PROBLEM.2 hours later, he calls me and says, "yea it was the battery. I changed it and the price with labor is $380."He literally worked on my car without me even slightly giving him permission.The next day, I went to pick up the car and he has the audacity to say, "you told me to go ahead and do it over the phone."Here's where he f'd up.1. I record every call I have on my phone2. I had autozone check the batteries' life right before I got there, and they said it still has 97% of its life3. The lead was just loose on one of the battery terminals and I was just looking for a mechanic who was honest since I just moved here.I told him that I want my old battery back and he goes "i would have to charge you$180 for labor"...to replace the new battery with the old one.This dude is a crook. I can't believe people use him.

Had a screeching sound start on my 32k mile ford expedition. Thought it was a belt, dropped the car off at Dave s. He found the problem quickly, which was a rock caught between my pad and rotor. Found the problem and fixed it for $170. Very honest and quick experience. Will be coming to Dave s as long as I live in the area.

Had my car for almost 2 weeks. Took it in 100 mile drive cycle, emptied my gas tank and banged it up. Tried to tell me they didn't drive it, right after they said they took it on a 100 drive cycle. Never again will I go to this mechanic for service. Its a shame cause out of the cast of characters Gene is a great mechanic who demonstrates empathy! Consumer be ware do not enter!!!

Never had a problem,expensive yes but at least they fix it and stand behind it.This is the Only Place I would go, and I've been a Union mechanic for 35 years I have all the tools and knowledge to do it my self but I can't work on my knees and back any more. Their very accommodating I'll tell them whats wrong and they fix it. You wouldn't believe the Horror stories from other local shops. These guys are great.

This shop is very experienced and professional and they are very inexpensive. They put a starter in my Chevy truck and charged next to nothing. Took less than an hour.

The charged me $195 and did nothing to the car. They lied and told me they can fix it, when they couldn t. 2hrs later the same problem occurred. This is not the first time they ve done this to me. Last year, my cars battery was messed up. Instead of telling me they couldn t fix it and I should go to Nissan to get it done, they charged me around $500 and just reset the car. 2hrs later the car stopped. Please save your money and don t go here.

Excellent service and excellent price. I took my truck for an electric problem and I was so satisfied with the service that they ended up doing my breaks, exhaust, wheel alignment plus other minor repairs. This shop is high quality service with really good prices. I recommend it to anyone.

$1500 and 4 days to fix some issues with my evap system so I can pass inspection. check engine light was on by the end of the day I had got my truck back. 2 months later I decide to try to figure it out. purge valve was not even hooked up. would not go here again.Service: Auto emissions testingService: Auto emissions testing

Dave is a great guy, straight forward and Honest! I see him every few months as I work for a parts company and it s always a great conversation. He always tells me the key to owning a great business is being honest with every customer. Which he does a great job with. If I lived in the area he would be the go to guy for any of my car trouble !! Highly recommend!!

I have been going to Dave's for a very long time. My grandma is the one who introduced me to Dave's Automotive. Dave and Gene are just honest and real friends who will try to really help you and get the work done. I have never had any other problems when getting any of my car's fixed and I have been going here since 1997. Dave and Gene are like family and wouldn't let any of there customers drive unsafe. Ty Dave's Automotive for being there for my family and I all these years! Bless you both and your family..

Dave always helpful no matter what your problem may be.Its so convenient right down the street and he does the job in a timely way,nice personality and very friendly does great work.Thats my place to go been there few times already

These all reviews are fake, I can say that, don't trust this person, I will never go to this place even if he is last mechanic on earth, I never write reviews but for him I have to write something, he charge me $71 for just looking at my vehicle [I agree to find out cause], but he was not sure and did not gave me exact problem, then he gave me estimation $1650+tax and he don't want to talk and pretending he is so busy, such a cheater.There are other good people around, don't be fool, please find somewhere else for your car need.Service: General repairs & maintenance

They use cheap engine oil and charge more. My car acted weird with engine noise and all when i checked it was a different oil a cheap one, once i changed oil myself my car started running great.Owner is friendly and great but the other guy was rude and doesn t respond well and curses all the time, doesn t do his work properly. I had to talk back harsh after being polite with that old guy.

I had previously gone to a different shop to check my back window not winding down faulty issue and was charged for a below par diagnosis. Brought it here on recommendation from my local autozone. The guy here listened and said we should go check the issue out and found out I mistakenly pressed the child lock back button which was the issue. Unlocked that and windows came back up. No charge .no rush to do a diagnosis just a pre standard check. I will be returning if I have any other issues because this guy is honest and knowledgeable.Service: Electrical repair

I've been using Daves automotive for close to 19years and have had a great experience the whole way. His work (Daves,his staff Gene,Dave Jr) stands up and He is always forthright and honest in his prognosis. I have sent many people to Daves and no one has ever complained to me about His work in fact they all are beyond pleased. Hard to find a place you can have confidence in, I'm glad My family and I have. You will be too.

Hard these days to find an honest mechanic. I found this shop by passing by it on the way to my office. I gave it a chance and was pleasantly surprised by how honest Dave the owner is and the knowledge Gene his head technician had. This shop is worth a shot and you will not be disappointed.

Avoid this place. He charged me $202 just for looking at the car and then quoting me a price that was over $400 more than another automotive shop.
