Stopped here after driving over 250 miles for a 3 hour event. The vehicle had no headlights so figured I d stop and take care of that. The manager Jenn was awesome!!! Not only did she have great coffee in the waiting room, but she had a wonderful, cheery personality and demeanor. I was quoted a price and even though it should have been more, she honored that! To me, integrity is extremely important, so what she did was stellar. I would highly recommend this PepBoys shop. The mechanic made it a point to ask let me know of some routine maintenance that the vehicle was going to need within the next couple of months and he was not pushy. I truly appreciate the great service and caring attitude I encountered today. Thanks a million!!!

I had a great experience here. Jen, who helped me up front with my appointment, was incredibly thorough and friendly when discussing my car. Brandon, the technician who worked on my car, also took the time to explain things. Overall, great staff and I will be returning to upkeep my car maintenance.

I had a wonderful experience at Pep Boys. I had a complete inspection completed and it was not one of those run of the mill going to a mechanic shop experiences that would leave my wallet feeling lighter and not having any idea why. Jenn took the time to explain to me what needed addressing and didn't "sell" to me. She actually showed me what needed addressing now and why and what could wait a few months so I wouldn't suffer from sticker shock. Jenn absolutely cares about the customer's safety when they are on the road. After this experience I won't trust my families safety in anyone else's hands. Thank you for getting me back on the road safely!!

I want to say in my two times of being to this location I have experienced amazing customer service. Today I had the pleasure to work with Jen, an amazing associate. Knowledgable and very social. She kept a smile during our entire interaction which is helpful when dealing with unforeseen car troubles. I will be a forever customer based off all this experience. My precious experience was exceptional was as well due to me having a low stock tire and they got it in and finish the next morning.

Dominic and Noel were really good to me. They stayed open after hours and were able to fix a flat tire I had gotten ! Thank you guys so much. Very awesome

Amazing experience. It's never fun when you get a complete flat on New Year's Day but honestly I couldn't be more happy with the professional, exacting, photographing and communicating (texts links pics etc) pep boys experience. I highly recommend them. It's what it should be. My new favorite car fixer in town. I always thought they just sold parts.

I went to Pep Boys today for new tires. Jenn and assistant manager Kathy were so incredibly helpful with selecting the best tires within my budget. They were knowledgeable about the products, patient with my decision making process and it was all done with a smile!The technicians were skilled and fast too!Thanks to all the staff at Pep Boys Ocean!

I always come here for oil changes and basic maintenance. Everyone is super nice and helpful and I always leave feeling like things are taken care of. When my battery got questionable this week I knew where to go and Kathy the ASM was super kind when I was all stressed out, and got me all set to get back to my life with a car that starts!

They didn t have the right tool to fix my ABS and I had to wait over a month for them to get it. Took 3 follow ups with no call backs. Very agitating.Once they got the right tool they said my part was on back order. I called 6 times over 5 months to check up and each time I was told I d get a call back and never did.On call number 7 I mentioned my annoyance that i never got a call back the past 6 times so they gave me the number to the Ford dealership so I can check if the part was in stock myself. This angered me because they said they were calling all around multiple places and it wasn t in stock anywhere but when I dug deeper they actually only were calling 1 spot, than wouldn t follow up and call me back anyway.So I called the dealership on my own and of course the part was in stock, so where was my call back on call number 7??? How many times can you neglect a customer even after they vocalize their frustration to you?? Apparently all the times.So I decided to not work with this Pep Boys because of the run around they gave me for over 5 months of waiting. They also said it was fine to drive with a broken tone ring as long as I didn t go on heavy terrain which is wrong and I could have damaged my car way worse!I went to a different Pep Boys and had my vehicle fixed same day in under 5 hours. This location gave me terrible customer service. Save yourself the hassle and pick a different one. So annoyed that I was ignored so frequently.

Stopped in due to grinding break noise. Kathy, assistant manager was very helpful and got me in right away. Noel did a good job replacing front breaks. They did not try to oversell unnecessary service. Recommend them

Kathy the Manager was very kind and helpful, very knowledgeable and professional, and she managed to fit me into the schedule to install 4 tires and an alignment while I waited before my next appt.She put two mechanics on my car and they were able to get the job done for me fast - Chris, who is an excellent mechanic (he has worked on my car before and is patient and explains well), and Shaunie, who I really appreciate for helping Chris so I get get to my next appt sooner.Wow, great service!I continue to use PepBoys due to excellent service, price, and professionalism. Thanks

Easy to make the appointment. Car was brought in on time and the work was done quickly. Everyone was very professional, nice and caring. Costs were far less than at the dealership. Overall an excellent experience.

I can't express enough how incredibly grateful I am to these guys for the care and professionalism they displayed on my visit. I had a disaster of an issue with my tires. I first spoke with Kathy who got me right in and then gave me so many suggestions for options to fix my car without breaking the bank. She was beyond reassuring and is one of the kindest people I've met in a long time and not to mention incredibly knowledgeable about her job. Joey my service tech worked some kind of houdini magic and was miraculously able to get my tire fixed enough to drive safely until my new tires came in. Tires were supposed to be in within 3 to 5 days but came in less then 24 hours. Joey also let me know everything he was about to do beforehand to make sure i was good with it. There were no expensive surprises. You guys are amazing and thank you so very much for everything you did!!!

Kevin took great care of my car. He was able to fit my car in their busy schedule and check my car on short notice, (literally within 15 minutes of my call). Kevin diagnosed the problem and fixed it, where as other places I went to either misdiagnosed or were unwilling to fix the issue. If I lived in the area I'd definitely make this Pep Boys my place to have my car serviced.

After having a terrible experience at the Toms River location Geno the service manager made my experience of buying new tires amazing. The online store does not allow me to schedule an install of new tires on my truck since it is lifted. Geno honored the online price and got the tires installed the same day. Absolutely amazing customer service from every person i spoke with in this location.

Managers Jen and Kathy and staff member, Noel, worked quickly to determine the fate of my tire which would not adequately maintain air pressure over a recent 2-day cold spell. Turned out to be a nail in the sidewall which necessitated the purchase of a cost effective new tire. Jen and Kathy were very customer focused.

Most of what needed to be done was done promptly and pleasantly. But when I got home and looked at it, there was a part missing. I went back to Pep Boys, and was told I needed to buy the missing part. I did that. When I brought it to them, they then said I needed another part. I bought that part too. Then they completed the job.

I gave this merchant a 1 star due to the fact that I can't give it less. Stay away from Pep Boys in Oakhurst. They have the worst people and customer service I have seen. They are rude, incompetent who try to scare you into buying their overpriced parts. If you refuse damage other parts of your vehicle forcing you to spend more money on it. The afternoon store manager thinks she is holier than thou saying how honest she and her staff are honest when they know they cover up their mistakes they make on your car. My car's steering wheel is now shaking when I put and drive in reverse something that it wasn't doing before the brake job they did.

! Alert ! Service Manager Geno Marquis is a dirty scammer.In an afternoon early this month, I drove to the Pep Boys Store in Ocean Township for a pre-scheduled appointment to replace my car's fuel line. The service manager, Geno Marquis, insisted on charging $95 to my credit card before proceeding with the fuel line replacement.After about an hour of waiting, mechanic Christopher arrived and informed me that replacing the fuel line posed a potential fire hazard and was a risky task. He explained that he was not adequately trained for such jobs. Although Geno Marquis had left the store, he assured me that he would credit back the charged amount the next morning upon his return.Online research revealed that not every mechanic may be eligible to replace a car's fuel line due to the involvement of potentially hazardous materials. Despite the lack of necessary training and expertise in handling fuel systems within the store, Geno Marquis assured me that they were capable of replacing my car's fuel line. However, after deceiving me to charge my credit card, he abruptly left the store in the middle of the afternoon. He waited for about an hour before sending Christopher to inform me that they couldn't perform the promised job. It turned out to be a premeditated scam. As predicted, Marquis failed to reimburse the charged amount. I had to report this scam to my credit company before getting my money back.I have visited this store many times for many years. Since its parts store was closed in this location, multiple service managers have been switched in this store. Business there was getting slower and slower. The number of technicians and customers was dwindling. So, they had to desperately deceive and overcharge every potential customer. Geno Marquis, the latest addition to the management, stands out as the worst of the bunch. His actions reek of dishonesty, and I urge everyone to exercise caution when dealing with this individual.

I've always gone to pep boys for all my automobile issues. I grew up here with my dad working for the company for almost all my life. He retired about 3 years ago and I still bring my car here. They always take care of me and make sure my care is performing at its best!

Kathy is awesome! She's got charisma! Kevin (Service Tech) and Gino (Supervisor) were great! Gino explained everything every step of the way and I had spoken to him prior to going to the Ocean location after having a terrible experience at another location. Gino advised he wanted to assure me that Pep Boys does care about their customers and advised a month ago that if I ever needed anything in the future, and was willing to give the company another chance, to reach out to him personally/go to his location. My husband brought our car there and he was great! VERY professional, courteous and even suggested the Pep Boys credit which I was approved for over the phone! My husband said the car drives much better and we could not be happier! I/we highly recommend Pep Boys of Ocean Twp.!
