this is my "tire place to go". so far the staff and services have been great with just one little exception: I scheduled a late service appointment (6pm). I arrived at 5 pm to find out that they cannot take me that evening and that they left a message about the cancellation. I went back home and retrieved the message saying that they would not be able to accommodate me at 6 but if I came at 5pm it would be the best... (??). well, I had to drive two more days on a half flat tire. besides this one minor incident I am very happy to use services at this place

This is the WORST PLACE IN NEWTON to have ANYTHING done to your vehicle! I made an appointment early in the day for 5:00 to have an oil change, brakes and tire repair. They confirmed the appointment and when we got there 15 minutes before scheduled, confirmed appointment time they said they were closing and couldn t do the job. When asked why they confirmed the appointment and were shown proof of confirmation, the reply was well we are closing and we are not doing it. When asked if I were to leave the car overnight could I get it back sometime early morning, the reply was you ll get it sometime tomorrow afternoon or evening. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. Terrible customer service, customer care and does not stand on their confirmations. Called Midas at 5:15 pm explained the situation and they said bring the car right over. That s customer care and service! Thank you Midas of Newton NJ! I wouldn t have even given one star but to leave the review I had to. Firestone of Newton NJ deserves negative 5 stars!

Professional, convenient and quick service but an oil change with no frills added was over $100 even with a coupon and prices aren't available until vehicle is done. A great place if you need an oil change same day on a weekend but expect to pay much more than a local mechanic.

The techs are great- extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I trust they won t do any unnecessary work or charge me for things I don t need. I use them for everything from oil change to tires to engine trouble. I m a lifetime customer and won t take my car anywhere else!

It was so easy and convenient with Anna being knowledgeabl, attentive, and a pleasure to set up appointment to paying bill and getting keys back. As far as cfna, I would not recommend them to anyone. They are horrible to deal with when it comes to rectifying an issue when you have paid on time every month. You might want to reconsider doing business with them. I sure have and it will affect me doing business with the Firestone Complete Auto Care, unfortunately.

They used to do appointments but I called today and he would not give me a time to come in, just said I would have to drop off the vehicle and they would call when it s ready .for a leaky tire.Never heard of a place that doesn t do appointments, guess they re not organized like that.I just went somewhere else who actually schedules their service

I had a leak in my tire so I took it there today. I told them that if possible, I was looking to get the tire plugged, if it was repairable. They took my car into the garage area and less than a minute later told me that I needed a new tire and there is no way to plug up the one that I had. So I went to Mavis down the road for a second opinion and they found a screw lodged into the top of my tire. They said the tire didn't look worn at all, like the guy at Firestone said, and they plugged it no problem. I took the screw back to Firestone to tell them about this and they just told me "well that's just our policy". What's their "policy"... To lie to the customer about the situation to get them to pay for a tire they don't actually need?? I will never go back to Firestone and I will make sure to tell everyone I know that they can't be trusted. I'll be going to Mavis from now on.

My son brought his car there complaining it was shaking all over the road. We figured it needed tires or an alignment. When he went in to talk to the service agent they said they found nothing wrong. They said they felt no shaking which I know is incorrect because I drove the car as well. They charged him $10 dollars and said everything was good. We just took it to a real mechanic today. Both of the back tires were bad and one of the rims was bent. Really Firestone!!! The one thing you are suppose to know is tires. I will never go there again. It could have been a dangerous situation on the highway.

I had purchased 4 Tires with new valves, including balancing. I had a problem with a slow leak in one tire. This was a result of a small crack ( dry rot) in the valve. It turns out that none of the valves were replaced as per a mechanic. Customer service refused to even file an incident report concerning this matter. The purchase was over 1 year old. Therefore, they claim no responsibility for this gross negligence on their part. Hopefully, this is not common practice in the Firestone service center.

I ve been using this location for 4 years, they service all of my fleet vehicles every 3 months or so, as well as my personal vehicle. I ve never had any issues with the staff or the service. They get me in fast as possible, and call me when I can pick it back up. I also work in the automotive and trucking parts industry and I understand the current situation in the USA. There is a shortage of mechanics and repair techs, as well as a huge shortage in parts for repairs and replacements. I usually deal with Chris, but everyone here is polite and professional. Easy to schedule appointments and service online or over the phone. I have never waited at the shop for a repair, I always leave my car there and come back when it s ready.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Air conditioning, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

I came with a flat tire and I asked them if they could plug or put air in my tire and the answer I got was no they had 3 more cars to do and they just left me sitting in a parking lot with no help. I would never do business with these people to leave someone stranded is amazing.

I see all the great reviews but it must have been a bad day. Twice. Can't complain about the service or the tires, they were OK. But the rudeness of the staff at the front, particularly the assistant manager and the next day, this older guy, was just incomprehensible. Are they doing me the service of allowing me to be a customer? Times have changed.Service: Tires

This was the best experience I ve ever had at a mechanic shop. Anna has by far, given the best customer service I ve ever received since owning a vehicle.. My car had a LOT of work done, Anna was very honest about the pricing, and kept me updated throughout the whole process of getting my exhaust system & AC fixed along with brakes and other issues I needed fixed on my Honda. I will be continuing to give my business to this place as long as they are standing. Lastly, as a woman, it was very refreshing having another female to talk me through this process and not give me the runaround like I have experienced before. 10/10 service at the Newton Firestone location.

My mother in law's battery died on a Sunday evening at 430 pm. and they helped us immediately because they were open until. 5 pm! We only waited ten minutes and had a new battery. Thank you!

The person in the front was very helpful and patient. Gave me various options for appointments. They were extremely busy but were able to help me. I was able to drop off my car for the my appointments and pick it up once they called me. Waiting area was clean and spacious. Affordable prices. In a good location with food and store options to kill time.

First and foremost, I have been a loyal customer of this facility for years and never had a problem before. We have 5 vehicles with them and spent well over 10K over the last few years.Today is the day that everything changed.I ordered two sets of (very expensive) winter tires in mid-December: both sets were unavailable and had to be ordered.I informed them that there was no rush for one of the two vehicles; it could have been done at a later stage as I was about to leave the country and would be back on Jan 8.The second vehicle (usually driven by my partner) was eventually taken care of on Dec 31.I came back on Jan 8 and did not hear from them until today, January 11. They informed me that the second set of tires was finally here (after basically almost a full month) but they would not be able to install them until - maybe - next week, due to staff shortages.I reminded them that these tires were ordered a month ago and they had plenty of time to get them in stock and schedule my appointment in time for my return: they didn't offer any explanation and obtusely kept repeating that they were unable to install them until next week.I pointed out that, despite the alleged staff shortages, they were clearly working today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, etc. so - just like they were now postponing me - they could have reasonably postponed someone else's appointment, especially since there is no way that their current appointments were also scheduled a month ago.Their answer was invariably "Sorry Sir, can't do that"...Well...Suit yourself! Then I guess I can't do business with you.

I have brought several family cars in for service and maintenance over the past few months. The crew at this Firestone is truly top-notch. Their level of service is exceptional by every measure. Regardless of who was on shift, I was warmly greeted with a smile each time - despite the fact these guys seem to work non-stop. I was given updates as to the status of the repairs and all the cars were ready when they said they would be. Their prices are very fair and competitive. Everyone is competent, kind and genuinely caring. The waiting area is nice - with coffee and water and the bathroom is clean. Lastly, when dropping off or picking up, the "paperwork" is done very quickly - I was in/out in a few minutes. Today when I dropped off my car, the manager had seen me park and had the paperwork waiting for me when I walked in the door - was in/out in 30 seconds! It is INCREDIBLY rare to find such a high level of customer service and professionalism - from their entire staff!

Anna and Chris are very nice and considerate!!!! I've been taking my cars to Firestone for 10+ years and I will continue to they always take care of what needs to be done!!! My prayers go out to the other guy Chris I hope everything gets better for him and recovers quick !!! Good job Newton Firestone

Firestone over tightened lug nuts on tire. Came in and notified that the lug nuts were over tightened. They refused to look at it and said to leave the car for the day. Essentially asking me to lose my car for a day because of their failure to properly provide service on my car. Likely losing me and my wife as future customers! Very dissatisfied would never recommend this place again.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

I had an appointment to get my oil changed before a cross country trip! They did a great job and also were able to replace a damaged tire for me right away.
