I m not someone to leave reviews but this this is needed. My car was brought here for service. Turns out it needed something replaced which was explained and a total was given on the cost of it.I asked if they could do a check to see if my power steering was leaking. Simple. They said sure, we ll check and let you know. Get the call that the car is done and nothing else was needed besides what was discussed Awesome right?! NOT AT ALL!Later I arrive to pick up my car and pay for the service that was discussed and I m hit with a bill more than DOUBLE the original expense Mind you the person I m speaking to is just as confused after I told him that s not what was told to me nor was it what was asked for. He then gets on the phone with the person who I spoke with asking if I asked for these services and she herself said no, and she started to say well the mechanic thought they should this and they should that.. WITHOUT calling me and explaining what else they themselves took upon them to do without communicating to me at all. Then to top it all off they said that I came from a specific area (assuming my financials) and that if it was anyone from the area around them (the hood) which Raul the owner himself called it (not me). That they would of could a bunch of times to ensure that they knew how much each thing cost.Basically assuming I could afford whatever work they decided to do on my car without having to discuss it because of the area I m employed in.EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! LACK OF COMMUNICATION! UNETHICAL!They gave me no choice but to pay so that I could have my car back.I work in management, with multiple locations and a hefty amount of employees and have never been in a situation as unprofessional as I have doing business with Rivera Auto Service.

Went in for what I believed to be a simple brake and rotor replacement. I purchased my own back brakes and rotors and did not get the front because they needed to be measured in order to obtain the correct ones. They told me not to worry they would order the front brakes and rotors and they would be fine. The FIRST TIME I waited 7 hours for my brakes to be changed because they said that they were waiting for someone to deliver them and they eventually ended up sending someone to get them. After 1week my front brakes were squealing horribly I went back they drove the car and said maybe the brakes that they sold me were bad. They changed them. The second set of brakes started to squeal badly again. The owner said maybe you asked for the cheap brakes . I never was given an option of the brake choice however I paid good money for the back brakes and rotors from BUYWISE in Irvington nj and they did not squeak At ALL and I would not had minded paying the same price for the front with a quarantine that they would be up to par. I am now on the third set of brakes and they are squealing also. MY ADVICE IS TAKE YOUR OWN PARTS BECAUSE THEY CLEARLY GET PARTS THAT ARE CHEAPLY MADE. The labor was good the parts were bad and a total waste of 500$ FOR BRAKES THAT ARE STILL BAD!Service: Brakes
