They have been my mechanic shop since 1997 and is knowledgeable to fix every vehicle that I brought in.They even knew one of my vehicle was under recall and to take it to the dealership so I didn't have to pay for the parts and labor. That honesty has kept me a returning customer.If you have to leave your vehicle and pickup at a later time, the 11, GO28, 29 and 72 are just a few of the NJ Transit buses that stop in walking distance.

The women at the front desk is very rude and disrespectful. As she isn t a mechanic and doesn t fix cars asked for her boss and she rudely hung up on me.

For the years that I have been in Jersey, this business is the best of the best. I bring in all me vehicles to this shop for all my repairs. They professionally analyze the problem and explain in full detail the cause and solution in understandable terms. They provide quality service all the time and they are the most kindest and caring team you can ever meet. If you are looking for top care service, this is the place to come to. Their prices are always affordable and they always use the best updated products that suits any budget. I have older model vehicles and with their care the ride better than most of todays vehicles. If you do not agree with their prices, you should consider about your vehicles life. Another shop may give you the price you may be looking for but not the quality of service Hernandez provides. Hernandez Auto is the only place I will ever bring my car. They have helped identify problems with my Honda Accord honestly, efficiently, and at a very fair price. They work fast without compromising attention to detail and quality of work. The owner is always present and genuinely cares about safety and quality.The mechanics here understand how important having your vehicle is so they work hard to get the job done quickly. I have never had to leave my car there for more than a few days, even when getting major work done on my brakes and exhaust system. They communicated with me every step of the way and were upfront about costs and issues with my car. I am so grateful to them for keeping my car running as wonderfully as it does. I cannot recommend Hernandez Auto enough!Also, to the guy complaining about his BMW oil change price. Isn't that kind of a deal for BMW oil changes? Don't they average around 130? Don't try and degrade a business because you don't accept the maintenance costs of your own vehicle.

I always change my oil and filter hereBecause for other simple jobs they charge too much, few weeks ago I asked for transmission fluid change andHe refused to do , so I left to another place. Few days ago I go for my motor oil change and it took them about 5 minutes and guess what they overfill the oil like they just added on top of the old. I think if you don't spend money they try to make you or don't want to see you anymore.(Congratulations I will never go back again)I should take you to court scammer.

Great mechanic. Always gives great prices. The best in Newark. He s such a nice person and does amazing work. Thank you**update**They made me upload a good review so i can get a discounted price. Terrible customer service. Chargers excessively too much so if you re looking for a low priced mechanic, THIS IS NOT IT! The female receptionist is a homophobe. Felt so uncomfortable being there. Never going back!Who charges almost 700 dollars for some breaks on a 2005 scion. Who charges a young (17 year old at that time) 700 for breaks. Smdh. Don t waste your time or money going there.

Service is not garunteed he looked at my car for 5 min the changed the price from 170$ to 500$ , how are you gonna price the job take my car in, then mid job change your mind on the price , then I was told I would have to come back anyoher day that the mechanics there weren't capable of the work. "All services garunteed" right? they couldn't garuntee my work. The next mechanic I went to that same hour priced it out at 150 and got the job done in less than a hour. I don't recommend this shop if your looking for experience and quality work.

Amazing experience - the shop is spotless, which tells you about the pride they take in their work. The owner has been i business over 30 years and treated me like family. The service I experienced was excellent, and the amount I was charged felt like I was getting a friends and family discount. I loved it and would happily come back again.

I was a loyal customer and always relied on the service here for my vehicle. But this time Im Really upset, I brought my suv here to be serviced because I heard a noise coming from the front suspension, He told me that I needed a whole new control arm. I agreed and paid for it and it wasn't cheap. Right after that I took my suv for a wheel alignment and when the guys from the alignment place put my truck on the lift they noticed that my control arm was very loose, and they tightened the bolt for the arm for free. Now that same problem that I paid about seven hundred dollars for, that I was assured was fixed, came back! I feel robbed and taken advantage of at this point because I used to be a loyal customer. I've been inconvenienced, problem not fixed, and I paid A LOT for a service that I was not provided.

I used this repair shop for several things on my Jeep Liberty.At first the business came off as responsible, timely and professional.The problem came when I had my brakes fully serviced; new drums, new pads and 1 new caliper.We picked up the car from this repair shop and my wife headed to work.Less than an hour later my wife called me from route 3 to inform me she was with the police, the front passenger wheel had come off and the caliper system had come apart.We paid for towing back to the repair shop and requested that our vehicle be repaired and damages and towing be reimbursed.While the owner initially agreed to cover the damages and the expenses what ultimately happened after he repaired the caliper was that he re-installed the damaged rim and refused to cover the towing fees and damages.The owner of this repair shop decided to ignore the fact that the wheel fell off on the same day we picked up the car from his repair shop, the owner chose to ignore that we returned our vehicle on a flat bed tow truck to his repair shop.The owner proceeded to indicate that his brother was the mechanic that worked on our car and that he trusts his brother over any customer and that we must have staged the entire incident to just make him lose money.The whole issue became a big argument with the owner refusing to cover the damages and yelling his brother does not make mistakes.Folks, no one in their right mind puts their family in the car and sends them to the highway with loose wheels.We trusted this repair shop and they failed to deliver or even make things right.We are very fortunate that when the wheel fell off my wife was on the left lane and approach heavy Lincoln tunnel traffic so the vehicle was slowing down.While this repair shop is clean and modern, they owner lacks professionalism and most definitely does not have the moral fiber required to entrust him with any safety or major auto repairs.The owner of the repair shop agreed toService: Brakes

DO NOT GO TO HERNANDEZ AUTO CENTER.I was having problems with my steering making noise when I turn. He said my control arms needed to be replaced. He said it will cost $600 to do both sides. He said we'll call you when your car is ready, I said okay. I still get the clicking noise and my steering is still messed up. I would recommend not going to Hernandez Auto Center they cannot properly diagnose car problems. He also said I need a wheel alignment. They're definitely not the one stop mechanic to go to. They can't even do a wheel alignment. The control arms with ball joints cost between $60 & $90 for both he charged me over $200 for each. They overcharged for parts and can't properly diagnose what needs to be fixed. DO NOT GO TO HERNANDEZ AUTO CENTER.

My boyfriend started me going here and I am so glad he did. We now bring all of our cars here. Every time we have an issues, we get great service, advice and we do not get charged an arm and a leg. I look forward to being a customer for many years to come.

It was an all around awful experience honestly, overpriced, a rude mechanic, plus they where trying to charge me 120 dollars for new brake pads (plus 70 for installing them) for my car when I could walk 2 blocks and get the same brake pads for 45 dollars at autozone which is what I did.Definitely never going back and can't really recommend.

They always give me a great deal and give great advice! I shopped around at 5 different mechanics and they offered the lowest price for the part and service. It's always clean and allowed me to bring my pet

My high pressure transmission fluid line was finished... to replace the part was at first a bit of a runaround but nothing an extra $50 didn't resolve. All in all, they got it right the first time so I can't be upset. Thanks for the work, Hernandez Auto!

This place is the worst place to take your car. They will overcharge you on everything and still wouldn't fix your car.... I took my Infiniti there for contral arms,axle, motor mounts payed $800 They told me to drop my car off and they will calll me.. I pick my car up it shacks like crazy now i have to take my car to the Dealership.... Alll they will doo is brake your car..... Stay away from this place

These people will scam you. I go there for an oil change and they said $85. I go to the car to grab something and when I go back inside they said sorry we made a mistake. It's $117 for bmw. I only did it because I really needed the oil change. Never again.

In Hernandez auto shop they fix cars all of type professionalism is key they have helped my father and me with our Vehicles in pass and We will return in future if needed , I recommend You visit them if needed they will solve all your problems.also They love what they do giving you a choice if you are a car lover and keep your baby on tune I highly recommended

I'm from the neighborhood.they won't even give you a price to fix a starter. I understand if something else occur and price must be adjusted but not even an initial estimate so I guess I should just buy something with out asking how much it cost.

I ve been to this location a few times, and never had a good experience. I only went back because they were the closest location to me the time. Customer service is poor, the owner is lazy and regularly has an attitude. I wouldn t recommend.
