I Just stopped in to repair my windshield wipers because the fluid was not squirting out to clean the windshield. They fixed it in 1 minute by connecting the hose that was disconnected. Before stopping in Felito & Brothers I went to 5 different shops that were telling me that I needed a new pump and giving me outrageous price quotes!Also, my gas cap door was not opening. They ordered a new button to replace the old one and charged me 200.00. I also questioned other mechanics about this and they told me told it was a huge electrical problem that needed to be worked on and gave me astronomical quotes close to $1000.00. I want to express my gratitude to Felito & Brothers in Newark for their excellence and professionalism and most of all for their honesty! Thank you again! You have a happy customer who will be returning in the future with all my family and friends! Irene

I own a 2017 Hyundai Accent. The service manual recommends to change the timing belt between 60,000 to 80,000 miles and/or have a certified mechanic inspect for slippage/wear & tear. I did not do either. A timing chain can sometimes last a lifetime, but you will take a big risk if you travel and use the car with a heavy load. The hatchback allows for use as a utility to perform different tasks with up to 1/4 ton (500 lbs.).The agreed upon price was substantially more than what the owner of the mechanic shop originally said. I was totally understanding because I know how much parts can be. I never even asked for an itemized bill. I just took his word for it for the extras. A timing chain replacement with my parts came out to an agreed $600. When my car was fixed and ready to leave his establishment, the bill went up to $882.54. We shook hands, said good-bye.I drove less than one hour to Journal Square, Jersey City, to get my hair cut, and the low oil pressure icon was flickering on and off. I sent him a screen shot to his cell phone; he responded immediately, saying to bring the car in. Low oil pressure is one of the most dangerous signs that the moving parts and engine are not getting enough oil. The resulting friction can cause the engine to seize up and cause up to $5,000 damage. The whole engine would need to be replaced.I made it back to his place immediately. We proceeded to trouble-shoot with genuine Hyundai parts. I wish he had recommended the manufacturer's parts in the first place, not letting me buy my own from another source. I am half to blame for the additional problems and necessity to disassemble the engine a second time. I started on Thursday morning at 9 a.m. It is now Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m., and they are just starting on my car, which was supposed to be started at 11 a.m., waiting for two seals from the dealership. I never once lost my cool and was always patient, considerate and non obtrusive.Finally, the car was ready to be released from the garage. The most important icon, the low pressure gauge, no longer appeared. I was very pleased with the hard work that both these gentlemen put in; Ruben, the owner, and his assistant, worked diligently. He did a test drive, and we both felt the renewed life that was put back into the engine. It felt stronger; it ran well.We went back to his shop. He handed me the keys. Then we went into his office to finalize the bill. This time he showed me the two receipts for the new parts: tensioner assembly timing chain, 2410-2B700, genuine Hyundai part, same with the oil pump. The total price was $333.91. I was told I was given a break on the labor at $400. Most customers do not realize the other services mechanics provide that go with a major complicated repair like I experienced. Thoroughly going over all the mechanical moving parts once the engine block has been opened there are additional costs such as oil change, including filter, gasket seals, radiator coolant change, and exhaust system from the manifold to the tailpipe once the car is up on a lift. Overall, I still feel I got a great job at a fair price and that everyone pulled his weight in making this happen. Total cost: $1,675.54.

First time here. Very bad experience. Came in to just change breaks and rotors. Left and car was making weird noises. I came back few days later. Seems they broke something but trying to play it off and pretend it was broken already which if it was they would of told me prior to fixing it don't you think.. car was in good condition before they touched my car I had no other issues except for breaks having to be changed. They Told me come back so they can fix it but still tryed to charge me. I decided not to go back. It's been about 1 month and my perfectly well car is now in bad condition and I have to find someone else to fix the mess they made. If I can't trust them with something so simple I wouldn't trust them with touching my car for anything.Service: Brake service & repair

Please watch this place. I was a loyal client to this place. I referred and take my personal cars there for everything. In February 2019, I went for a complete tune up with synthetic oil change. The gas filter and oil change wasn't done. I would have driven 20 thousand miles, while thinking I had new oil..etc. However, my intuition told me to check on what he said he had done. I had to argue the owner Reuben down just to show him the work wasn't. After taking two days off just to prove to him the work wasn't done, he finally decided to agree to do what I originally paid for. He also installed cheap parts on my car. My front brake pads along with the rotors we're done during the same time as the tune-up. After two months of moderate driving, my front brakes started to squeak and left severe brake dust on the rims. I know brakes last longer that. I went to Reuben with that too, and explained and showed him what was happening. He didn't change the brakes with quality brakes, so instead I had to spend money elsewhere on new brake pads. Be very careful with this place!

Great professional service! Been dealing with this company for about over four years now. Attentive, dependable, reliable...I can go on. Absolute satisfaction with their work. I would recommend them as a single working mom, they ve been there for me at my worst days and haven t failed since. Truly grateful of them! Best in Newark, my opinion!

I believed in this place at once but I every time I brought my suv here I had to bring it back. I hate that I cant trust someone in business. At this point I just want to file a complaint with the city so no one else goes threw what I been threw.

Spent over $600 and the problem never got fixed .. just keeps charging you for more parts & the main problem never gets fixed. Don t go here
