Took my 12 year old 160,000 mile suv there for an oil change. We use this car as a third car or for carting stuff or taking the dog to the vet. Got a hard sell on various filters and additives. My $65 oil change, takes an hour, was $270 and almost 3 hours! And I got a lot of little woman doesn t know how to take care of a car vibes. Got told it needed to be cleaned, detailed and that I should keep the dog out of the car. I won t even be back for gas. NEVER AGAIN!

Complete waste of time. Although Bounty is a nice guy, but he lied about being able to fix my Benz. He was unable to fix my car and I had to tow it for the second time to take my car to another shop. Before taking my car, I called and asked him if he can fix a Benz, he said Yes. Dealing with him caused needless frustration, loss of precious time, and additional towing charges.

I was new in the city, had no idea where to get my car fixed as some weird sound was coming from the engine, that I couldn't even figure out. I read all the great reviews from the customers, hoping to get the same level of services as the reviews suggest. Bounty quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and fixed my car on the same day. He is very knowledgeable, trustworthy and professional. It's a great place for every kind of car repairs with outstanding services at a reasonable price. Bounty and his team at Montvale Auto Works have serviced my cars for the last 5 years. He is open and transparent in his pricing and he typically offers me options on the type of parts needed to be replaced to help manage costs. He does a great job on a wide variety of services and he stands behind his work. He has even picked up my cars at my house to be serviced when I can t get them to his shop. Bounty is the best! A character to be sure but knowledgeable and has good stories. I had him work on three cars. 1. Tire repair for a Honda Pilot. Another garage wanted $350 and said it was not repairable, Bounty just patched up the hole in minutes and I was in my way for $35. 2. Replaced some Honda Prius front lights and did an oil change. 3. Replaced a timing chain on a Honda CRV. It took a few days but he charged a fair rate at 2k. I will use Bounty again soon.

Bounty has been my mechanic for years. He is a top notch mechanic, especially when it comes to German cars. He has all the correct tools for the job at hand. I would never bring my Mercedes anywhere else, especially the dealer. Good prices. I went there to get my Porsche 2022 fixed, I would highly recommend this place if you re looking for someone who is knowledgeable and they have extremely reasonable prices too. Bunty was a great help, I was able to pick up my car within 3 hours. They are reliable and have amazing customer service.

was traveling with my family in my 2014 Honda odyssey, main drive belt broke besides being a holiday weekend Bounty came on his tow truck in timely manner, fixed my car quickly replacing the belt and put a new battery. We soon left happily on the way. 5 stars for his services

Honest mechanics are hard to find. Bounty did a great job repairing my brakes. He was the only mechanic that told me the truth about the wear and tear on my brakes, other mechanics wanted to change my brakes prematurely. I am thankful for his services and honesty. Its mindblowing to think about how many people that are scammed into changing parts that are perfectly good. Toyota wanted to change my filters, they were brand new, I just installed them. They didnt know how to respond to that. Firestone told me my brakes needed to be changed ASAP a year and a half ago. I still had plenty of miles on them. These are just some of my experiences! When it comes to our vehicles, honesty is a breath of fresh air.

What can I say, what makes this place is the owner Bounty! He is hands down one of the best mechanics I know! If you want great experience and knowledge when it comes to cars then, Montvale Auto is where you want to be! I had a tire blow out late Friday afternoon. This place was recommended to me so I figured I would call to see if they were able to do a tire change and when they might be able to do so with the expectation that I'd have to wait until after Memorial day.Bounty was able to see me later that day, put an order in for the tire, balanced on my wheel Saturday morning and replaced both my tire and my oil before noon on Saturday.Beyond just the timeliness and professionalism shown, Bounty was extremely transparent with his pricing, showing directly what he uses, why he uses it, and how expensive it was. In my personal case, the synthetic oil that he uses for a Toyota Rav4.I'm glad to have found a local place that I can trust whenever I need work done on my car.Services: Tire change, Oil change

I brought in my 10+ year old Honda to have the AC repaired, as it had been blowing hot air. Turns out the problem was a lot more complicated than anyone imagined, even after replacing the compressor and more I had to bring in the car back because the AC again stopped functioning. Bounty was incredibly patient and offered to make it right, even though it took him two more attempts to figure out what the problem was. His price was reasonable and he didn t charge me extra for the additional labor involved. Happy to say my AC is finally working. Highly recommend this place if you re looking for an honest and reasonably priced mechanic.Service: Air conditioning

We were stranded on the Garden State parkway after the car had the battery go off and all the lights on the dashboard come on. We tried calling multiple auto repair shops and most did not have any availability to get things done that afternoon. We were headed to Lake George for a wedding and needed to be on the way.Bounty was kind enough to be very accommodating and asked us to get the car over. We had to use Tumino s towing since the car was in the service area of Garden State parkway and you can only use their serviceBounty quickly diagnosed the problem as being the alternator and ordered the part ahead of us getting there. When we go there he went to work immediately on the car. He was also kind enough to provide us some water and guide us towards some food places. The 2008 Honda Odyssey we have is not an easy one to replace the alternator as it requires opening the engine and lifting some of the parts to gain access to the alternator. But Bounty did a great job and got us out of there in 3 hours.He was also very fair on the pricing and did not charge me more just for an emergency scenario neither did he take any advantage of my situation. He even added additional oil and fluids to enable our journey forward. I would highly recommend him any dayServices: Electrical repair, Battery service, Engine repair, Oil change

I came in with my 1996 mustang cobra, and my cooling fan wasn t working. Bounty diagnosed the problem and told me the exact parts i needed. after the install of a temp sensor, the fan worked great. Bounty came to my rescue twice when my car had issues with brake & starter and I had to be back on the road urgently. He attended me immediately without any prior appointment and though it was late in the evening @ 4PM and part was hard to get the same day, he took the extra pain of driving himself to the auto store to collect the part. He stayed back late than his usual 6 PM schedule to ensure I was back on the road smooth and fine. Bounty also is a fun person to talk to and very jovial. Thanks Bounty !! I will definitely return and highly recommend this place for prompt service.

Definitely a Five Star experience! I finally have found my personal mechanic, Bounty of Montvale Auto Works. The repair job is great, the price is even greater. Bounty is very experienced on foreign cars but charges very reasonable rate.I had Bounty installed four wheel rotor/break pad kit I purchased online for my Porsche Cayenne. To make sure I got the car in time, Bounty personally drove to Porsche dealership to get the parts. He takes care all the details to make sure the complete satisfactory of repair job.

Mechanic Bounty was awesome, my car had a flashing check engine light and he had it up in running in no time. Price was fair and service was quick and pleasant. Highly recommend.

Bounty started servicing my cars about 5 years ago, when the service contract on my car ended. I'm now bringing both family cars to him rather than paying the dealership for standard maintenance. He's built trust simply by presenting options, showing the parts to be purchased, and showing the parts he's removed. He's taken me in on short notice when possible, and even drove me home after dropping off my car for service. Just a few weeks ago he made time to plug a tire that had a long nail in it. It's reassuring to have a mechanic you can trust.

Bounty is everything you want in a mechanic. He's smart, fair and reasonably priced. In today's world of overpriced under knowledgeable dealerships Bounty is a refreshing uptick. I know when I call him and drop my vehicles he will not only do the job right, but he'll also make sure I don't overpay. I highly recommend him and Montvale Auto Works.

Montvale Auto Works is fantastic. Everyone there is so helpful and goes out of their way to get repairs done quickly. They are great in an emergency as well. Several times I have gone to Bounty with a flat tire or emergency repair, and he always manages to squeeze me in and get the car back the same day. His prices are fair and the work is thorough. I highly recommend Montvale Auto Works.

Bounty has been our mechanic for many years. He s extremely fair and won t push you to have unnecessary work done to your car. He is extremely knowledgeable and very reliable. His turn around time has always been really good too! I would highly recommend.

I agree with all the positive reviews. This is a great auto repair shop. Yay, no more dealer service!! Bounty was quick, did a great job and is a great mechanic and really nice guy. He did an excellent job of servicing my Mini Cooper at a very reasonable price. I will definitely return, and would highly recommend this place.

I used Bounty for the first time & was very pleased with his service and with his ability to do engine repair as well as body work. He worked quickly & kept me informed about the progress of the repair as well as the cost of parts & labor, to determine if I wanted to proceed. When the cost began to add up, he immediately waived his towing free & reduced some of the labor costs. The most pleasant auto shop experience I ve had! Thanx Bounty!

I got into a small accident months ago and I can honestly say that I found my new mechanic. Bounty was helpful he was economic speedy and very courteous he is a gentle soul he has a great heart and is wonderful at his craft. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great mechanic who will not rip you off and do a phenomenal job.

Bounty stopped what he was doing to look at my car when I pulled up without an appointment. He diagnosed why the check engine light was on and in another 15 minutes he had replaced the end of the vacuum tube with a better silicone hose that would not dry rot like the 20 year old rubber OEM did. Will bring all future work to him. Very reasonable price at a fraction of the dealership.

I was looking around to have an intake system installed. After talking to a few people a friend of mine recommended this mechanic ( bounty). Place was in Montvale a little far but decided to give it a try. All I can Say is l m so happy I did. This guy was awesome. This guy was a customers dream. Everything you want in a mechanic to be. He was detailed with the job and quick. Best and most important he priced me fair. You don t get that too often these days. Again no regrets and now found my future mechanic. Thanks bounty
